Not good enough at all for the money you spend – Our fridge has just gone over the 5 year mark but we did pay to have extended warranty. We have had the electrician here on numerous occasions fixing and replacing the ice maker and now the fridge has a gas leak and cannot be fixed. Considering i paid $3720 for this fridge 5 years ago, I would expect that the fridge would have had a longer… Read more

lifespan. I have been in contact with Electrolux and have been given the choice that I can either buy another Electrolux fridge or a Westinghouse which I can get at a staff rate. Overall I am only saving $200 at the staff rate, so I am quite upset to say the least considering the amount of money I paid in the first place for what I considered would be an outstanding fridge and would last us a lot longer than 5 years.

Very disappointed to say the least.

Great fridge - fingers crossed it stays this way – I am surprised at some of the poor reviews and am now a little scared that my problems are about to start as my fridge is coming up to 2 years old. But thus far it has been fabulous. I have had no problems with it at all. Space is good and great flexibility for changing the shelves around. I love all the adjustable shelves in the freezer - I… Read more

bought a selection of freezer containers that just fit neatly on the shelves so I just pull out a container to rummage for what I want instead of having a jumble of items. The ice maker is great. Fortunately I realised before I bought the fridge that the filter could be a problem as my fridge is a tight fit and I didn't fancy having to move it. So I installed the filter in the cupboard next to the fridge - the water line ran through there anyway so the plumber just connected the filter into the cupboard side of the line and not the fridge line.Fingers crossed that the good news story continues.

Grew up with an electrolux fridge but times have changed – I purchsed this fridge in lieu of a GE and if only i knew what we were in for. We've had this fridge for just over 24months now, just outside warranty and spent around $3500 on something that probably wont last more than another year or two. As a fridge, it works well. Storage is good and provides many adjustable shelf positions. The icemaker… Read more

facility, although takes up a fair bit of room, is great as we're big lover of ice when it comes to drinks. First issue we found over 4months ago we've notice rust starting to form between the ice tray and fridge door. Yes we keep it free of water but this shouldnt happen as its Stainless Steel. The filter is outside the fridge so you need to move the fridge all the way out to get to it so it's a bit of a pain unless its installed somewhere else. Our Fisher&Paykel's filter was inside the fridge and this made life so easy. The vegetable draws are very flimsy, and quite awkward removing them for cleaning. The biggest defect so far and i've now also read others with the same problem, there are stress cracks through the back of the fridge. This made me pull out the shelves and i've located other cracks including the sides and bottom. We are just unlucky when it comes to warranties and things happeing just outside of them. What's happen to the way Electrolux fridges use to be built.

Dissappointed – Handles came off and scratched the doors. Doors uneven. 3 visits by repair men it's was fixed. It is very loud fridge. Sounds like it might take off. Freezer takes along time to freeze things. I do live the space this fridge/freezer has. It fits so much in it. But overall, not value for money.

Excellent – Good quality fridge. Excellent power savings and very silent. Really curious why other people in here have rated it so bad unless they work for competitors. It is a bit expensive to buy upfront but then savings in power bill compensates for same. Also, excellent ice making function and overall no problems apart from securing water filter… Read more ·  2

replacement after the initial ones has expired High energy savings. Good quality Bit expensive & no easy availability of replacement water filter

Constantly breaking down – It's now broken down for the fourth time in 20 months... It broke down, not freezing or cooling, shortly after we bought it and it got replaced (weeks no fridge and a lot of wasted food). The replacement worked for a while, than the display stopped working and for several weeks we had the freezer running at -24 as it could not be adjusted… Read more

anymore. What a waste of energy, we bought it because it was had a good energy rating. Than the compressor broke and we decided to buy a second hand fridge to limit the food wastage. I'm glad we did as it has broken down again, the fridge is not cooling properly and the repair man is coming tomorrow... The cold water and icemaker Not reliable

Great when working but – Purchased 1st unit oct 12 only to have compressor fail mid nov 12. Replaced by electrolux with new unit. This repaced unit had the compressor fail after 4 months. Awaiting replacement again. Perhaps 3rd time lucky. Unit works well when operating as it should being a top of the line model but we are disappointed with the reliability ( or lack of ).
