Electrolux Is Rubbish - Short Lifespan – When I updated my kitchen I purchased all Electrolux and now regret it. Firstly the dishwasher falls apart and now the oven, the digital display stops and the oven would not operate, so I paid for the module replacment and a week later the fan that keeps the electronics cool became intermittent and shut everything down until things cooled down. It… Read more
has only been a little over 6 years since installed and does not get in anyway a heavy workload. I think there are slightly more expensive units out there such as Bosch that last for years and years, because the quality out of Electrolux is garbage as evidenced by my dishwasherand now oven - BTW Westinghouse is out of the same factory as Electrolux so personally I'll won't be considering that brand.
It's fine, does the job. No real complaints – We were given the oven when a relative passed and have had no issues with it's workings. We found the oven simple to use, two dials, one to select mode and the other for temperature. The timers were simple enough to figure out. Although, as I read in some other reports, the silver on the knobs comes off quite easily. Functionally the oven has been… Read more
excellent. I was able to dry jerky and fruit, no problems with cakes or roasts either. I would always use an oven thermometer for cakes otherwise the thermostat was fine at 180 for most other things. It would take around 5 min to get to 140 and 20+min to 220.
Think I got a lemon – The features are great and the design of this oven is beautiful, I loved the telescopic runners it made it so easy and safe when removing hot trays. The oven worked ok for the first year then developed problems with the thermostat, the temperature was much lower than the reading, then after turning it on one I got a readout F908 meaning a problem… Read more
with thermostat and quoted over $900 to fix a very expensive part. When it did work it cooked evenly both top and bottom shelves. A disappointing experience.
Very disappointing – Bought this as a replacement for an expensive Electrolux pyrolytic oven which became useless after its self-cleaning cycle [probably the 3rd time I had used this cycle in its 8 year-life]. Door would not open and service person said 'something' was burnt out - was told not related to the pyrolytic cycle!!!! Otherwise had been satisfied with the… Read more
performance of that oven so decided to replace with another Electrolux [due to being assembled in SA] - just not pyrolytic. Replacement oven cooks reasonably OK - very average and the steam function [on this model at least] is useless. Put the water into a cold oven and it is gone when preheated.. can't add water after pre-heating! BUT the over-riding reason for the poor score is the face of the oven - I have to use a torch to see what function and temperature it is on - even then it is difficult to work out. Apart from the on/off light and the clock - nothing illuminates and even the static markings on the face are dull and almost impossible to read. It is mystifying how any manufacturer would approve such a poor design. Will probably cut my losses and my $900 and scrap this oven - simply due to a problem that could be easily, cheaply and quickly rectified, should there be the will to do so.
disappointing build quality – We bought this oven as we were impressed with the size. It was not a cheap oven. We have had a serviceman out twice for a clanging noisy fan. The oven cooks unevenly, particularly on fan setting. It burns the edges of the trays , whilst the centre is uncooked. The silver finish on the knobs has melted in very efficient fashion. The dials are… Read more
difficult to read when light is low, as there is no back lighting. An oven does not need to do many things, particularly in our hands, and one would think once you've made a few ovens it would be pretty straightforward to build one that cooks the food, evenly and spares cooking itself. It appears that this is not the case. This oven is less than 3 years old, has been a disappointment, and now its out of warranty. We regret not spending more money and going to a higher tier brand. We will avoid Electrolux/Dishlex from now on after 2 poor products from this company.
a Great Oven with a couple of minor defects from our point of view – We recently bought this oven to replace our older oven. This oven cooks great and can do steam cooking for baked dinners. The roller trays are a pleasure to use but the bottom shelf has none supplied and is much harder to slide. The Control panel writing and the Marking on the knobs needs to be more distinct against the black back ground maybe… Read more
OK with perfect eyesight Also to change the time on the clock the instructions supplied in the instruction book are wrong. pressing the clock symbol does not help you change the time, you have to tune the oven off so you need a switch near the stove, none was installed. I have turn the power off in the fuse box, this was installed by the good guys supplied tradesman. overall a good oven for the price could be better with a few tweaks.
regret buying the electrolux EVE614SC – I purchased 2 of these 600 Electrolux ovens to fit into my old space, what a mistake they cost about $900 each and do not cook well at all does not matter which setting you use if you bake or fan force middle does not cook and outer burns if you try cooking cakes or pizza does the same thing very unhappy with this product avoid purchasing this as… Read more
you will regret it unable to clean between glass door as need to dissemble door to clean between glass door, but the cooking is terrible anyone that believes this oven can cook obviously they cant cook themselves, I cant urge you enough don't make the same mistake as after almost a year I"m replacing them.
Rubbish - Do not buy – Terrible oven. So expensive but cooks very unevenly even with fan cook on. Burns the edges, the middle undercooked. I literally sit in front of it and watch to see when the edges are done and then take them out, then rotate and spread out the center biscuits. Cooks cakes badly as you can imagine. Absolute rubbish. Ovens have one job - to cook… Read more
properly - and they cant get it right. Oh and the handle came off after 12 months and it wasn't covered under the extended warranty. Wear and tear they said. Electrolux did eventually send me the broken washer for free but I had to find the part, order it and install it myself - over an hour for this run around. They wouldn't send anyone out without charging me.
Electrolux EVE614DSD and EVEP614DSD Too much Fancy, Not practical – Bought these two ovens, replaced side door left and right White Chef Electrolux ovens. Was disappointed as they didn't make the side door openings anymore, best thing for my bad back like half the population. Firstly they are not identical in size the Pyrolytic is an inch taller opening. The clocks are different and dont match one lighter and… Read more
bigger the Pyrolytic is smaller and duller. Second the knobs are too smooth and round and are slippery and difficult to turn so I found out after using them. Next the Pyrolytic cleaning and you still have to remove gut the oven and clean everything that is not attached anyway, then still do a wipe out, then use the oven which takes 90 mins quick or 180 mins long clean, chew the power right, still then you have to wipe it out again and put everything back in. But does avoid chemicals which is better for the lungs. The panel doesn't light up so it makes it impossible to see what function your on, and so many useless functions, overkill. Also the light and timer need to be simpler. Personally if I could go back, I would not have bought these ovens. But they are black and heat up well and look pretty and the quality is better than most other brands. If Electrolux wants to make these oven perfect dont have push in slippery round knobs but odd shaped to grip/turn better, next light up the panel and take half the functions away all you need is fan oven and no fan oven and the same for grill that's it. Next side door openings left and right. Do that and ill buy those ovens again!. Love the colour of the ovens the design, quality just not practical. Your ovens 15 years ago were better what happened?
Perfect family oven – I searched for a very long time to find the perfect oven that would suit family cooking and was safe for my children to be around. The Electrolux certainly has not disappointed! I was tossing up being the Electrolux and the Bosch within the same price range and went with the Electrolux due to its huge capacity. The oven itself looks super sleek… Read more
in my kitchen. The glass doesn’t leave obvious finger prints which is great when my kids touch the glass which happens quite a bit. The glass is cool touch so if the kids do touch the glass while the oven is on they don’t feel the heat. Safety is so important! The oven is very easy to keep clean with no knobbly dials on the front. Just a quick wipe down and it’s good as new. The next thing I love is the huge baking tray in telescopic rails which fills the entire base of the oven. I can manage to fit a full chicken and a families worth of potato’s. I also managed to fit two 20cm diameter cakes on the one shelf which is unheard of! The oven cooks really well and I haven’t had any trouble with uneven cooking. The only thing I’ve noticed is the top of the oven doesn’t seem to brown food as well as the middle of the oven when it’s on fan forced and the top tray has been left in. Overall I’m a super pleased with this purchase and am now on the hunt for an Electrolux cook top!
Most difficult oven for cleaning ever – I purchased this pyrolytic oven as it was self cleaning and I thought that would save time and be easy. The reality is it takes three adults to get the door off it’s so difficult and then the cleaning of the glass and the hassle of getting it all back together is also really difficult. Then you need to lift a heavy door and get it back on the oven… Read more
before you can start the pyrolytic process. Anyone who is a bit older has arthritis or who simply doesn’t have the strength to lift this heavy door is going to have major problems. I could clean my old oven in its entirety in a tenth of the time this oven takes to clean the doors alone. I was advised they were a crock by both an oven serviceman and a professional oven cleaner. I only wish I had listened to them. Do not be taken in by the marketing. This is NOT an easy clean oven but extremely difficult. Never again. Get the liners save your money and spend far less time cleaning.
Good... and Bad, but overall OK – Purchased as part of a new build 18 months ago. I cook almost every day, so it's very much the 'workhorse' of my kitchen. It heats and cooks well. Lots of useful cooking modes. My dissatisfaction is more with the structure of the oven. I feel that the distance between the grill element and the grill tray is a bit too much, and therefore… Read more
the grilling function takes a lot longer to cook than it needs to.
The telescopic shelf holders can be fiddly when putting trays into the oven, especially when hot, and sometimes damn annoying; When not in use they sometimes telescope out with other dishes! (I have removed one set entirely... out of frustration!),
The oven door is designed to only stay open at 1/4 open or fully open..... and the fully open position can sometimes not 'lock' into place. This has taken SOME getting used to... and several cake mixtures dumped all over the oven. You have to fully open the door before putting a dish into the oven, or it bounces back up to 1/4. When you have a cake mixture in your hands and the door is already hot, it can wack you across the wrists as you are loading the oven.... hence, split cake disasters and minor burns. The door needs to be more easy to engage into the 'fully open' position, or the whole 'Open all the way, or not at all' idea should be removed.
Also, I have had to completely remove the shielding at the rear of the oven (covering the fan mechanism) twice now, and adjust the position of the heat element surrounding the fan, as it keeps dropping in its position at the rear of the oven. This causes the oven to have a banging noise in the baking with fan modes.
Happy customer but there's always room for improvement – I must say what an absolute joy it is to use this oven. it heats up pretty quick on most of the oven settings. best oven ive had for baking. The only down fall is the grill take a really long time to get going even on the max grill function but apart from that my family and I are pretty happy with it. Show details

GREAT OVEN – This is the same oven as the Ikea Kulinarisk, just rebadged. Rapid heat function is a very handy function and it tells you how long to go. I also love the defrost function. Recommended as a cost effective oven for a basic kitchen reno and couldn't be happier. Mine also has the steam function which I am still learning to use, but so far so… Read more
good! I also like that it is Australian based and getting parts will not be difficult if required. I have a lot of trouble getting out of the kitchen now!
Excellent family oven – Great oven, easy to use and clean. Great reliable cooking results. Well made and well finished oven. Pyro clean is great and so too the meat probe. Simple to operate and follow menu display. Setting time is easy and so too using timer functions. This is a great family oven. Show details
Excellent oven – Extremely satisfied with this oven. The features are brilliant with the telescopic oven trays that come standard with this model. Food is cooked evenly and quickly. I love the rapid heat function saving time..highly recommend this oven. Looks great and easy to use. Cleaning the oven, especially the glass is so simple without having to strain my arms scrubbing.. Control panel and surrounding cabinet work get hot after oven turned off – I had my new Electrolux oven installed about a month ago and have been disappointed to find that the control panel and the surrounding cabinet work gets very hot after the oven has been turned off. I have tried to contact Electrolux by phone and email to ascertain if this is normal or whether I should keep the fan going after I have turned the heat off but they have not replied. Show details
Fabulous stylish kitchen addition – Sleek glass face fits well with modern kitchen design. Very hard to mark with finger prints. The shelves are all on rollers, including the grill tray, making transferring food in and out a breeze. It is simple to change the level of the shelves to allow for larger items. Well worth it, decently priced as well Show details
Door collapse - plastic door – Purchased one because it was so called Australian Made, has had so many issues with it since I purchased it and am really regretting it. The door has collapsed with the plastic lugs that hold the glass in, the inner glass has shattered and requires a whole new door. The plastic handle has cracked from the heat and the shelves have started to fall apart! Show details

Best oven I have owned in 20 years – We recently put in a new extension which included a new kitchen so I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews on ovens . We have owned 3 ovens in our lifetime of owning a house and so far haven't been that impressed with what we had before. We purchased this Electrolux oven and the matching pyrolitic in the same brand as we have two… Read more
ovens in our new kitchen. We were very careful in our selection process to not be drawn in by branding ... you shouldnt just buy a product because you see it on a home Reno show and you need to keep up with the jones' and buy smeg or Miele for double the price
This oven is great, it even has a rapid heat setting so you are not waiting for what appears to be ages for it to reach the temperature you need.... the price was mid range so it's not a cheap and nasty oven but a medium range in price. The sales person from good guys referred to it as the top of the range in medium priced ovens.
We installed this oven in October 2017 and it's perfect and easy to use. The temperature hits the mark and my family even comment on how much nicer my cooking is... I think we have suffered too many years at the hand of a cheap oven with intermittent temperature.
Cooks scones and bread to perfection
Can't fault anything on this oven so far
Looks really good except faulty design on plastic Door – Got one in new house supplied by the builder. Really happy with the design, looks great! However there is a few faults which make me wish I purchased another brand. The plastic door frame is faulty, has already cracked after 6 months use. Plastic door handle, the bar handle is metal, but what connects to the door is plastic - again also cracked.… Read more
The enamel on the inside of the oven has cracked and there is rust in the oven.
Definitely wouldn't purchase again, great looks but poor build quality.
Stsndard oven – Oven has all the heating features that are required. Appearance looks slim and modern. The oven handle is loose so when you open and close it, doed not feel firm. Did not come with PowerPoint cord so i had to buy a separate one and ensured the voltage was the required. Show details

Stylish and Affordable – This Electolux oven looks excellent in our new kitchen. The black glass with the chrome features is great. It performs exactly as expected for a basic level model and I have nothing to complain about. It is a small step up in price from the rubbish base brands/models but looks like it is high end. Fabulous oven!! – My husband and I bought this oven in November 2017 and are so happy with it. It comes with 2 wire racks, grill pan and oven drip tray. 2 of the runners are telescopic which makes it really easy to pull out the rack. The oven selections are simple, all you need and easy to use and understand. Setting the clock is so simple rather than having to… Read more
press 2 buttons which has been my previous experience!! But best of all it heats up quickly and does the best roasts we have ever had!! Love the look of this oven too with the black and silver!
Love the look of it – Seems to roast a perfect chicken and baked dinners are always a favorite with the family. Cakes seem to cook a little uneven towards the back of the oven. Its hard to see the temperature selection selection with the black glass. I dont have to worry about children burning themselves as the oven door is triple thickness. Show details
Great appliance – Great oven, we bought this oven 8 months ago from the Good Guys and so far it has been perfect. The internal lights are very good, they provide a great view of the meals while being cooked. Very consistent cooking performance with a variety of meals, also reheating, grilling and defrosting food. Show details
Waste of money – The light had rusted and burnt out then blew out.... electrolux and the manufacturer didnt want to know about it claiming that its wear and tear cooking my food in higher temperatures.... then what made it worse is the griller burnt out within 12 months and to get that replaced was going to cost around $350 including call out fees..... the whole… Read more
bloody thing cost me $390... so what a waste of money to get it repaired when I can buy a new one but different brand.... load of rubbish.... unreliable

Best Pork Crackling!! – This oven has replaced an awful Ariston that was about ten years old. There is great width for two trays, lots of light and consistent results so far. Very quiet and little heat release/escape. Most used function is the fan forced - roast pork twice now with all over, crispy crackle. Baked a couple of cakes with normal oven and these have been evenly cooked. Roast veggies perfect. For $850 I cannot complain... Show details
Great Oven – Excellent oven and very easy to use. For someone who had not had very much experience with the oven I found it very easy to use with the different functions. It heats up very quickly and has a number of settings to suit every occasion. Great for baking cakes and large roasts. Show details
Great going so far – Consistent cooking and very spacious . Very good value for money. Tried cakes, roasts, pizzas, sausage rolls, cookies and meatloaf. Very satisfied overall with the performance of this oven. The rapid heat function really helps putting the final touches. The various fan options - top only bottom only or both are very handy too. The digital display… Read more
for cooking time i.e. start time and end time could have been made a little simpler but really cant fault it so far. If you do get a lot of meat fat debris charred on to the trays then its a bit of effort getting them out but this is not too different from many oven i know. Overall a great buy!
Solid Build, Modern Stylish, Cooks Well, All the features you need – What can I say, apart from I LOVE this oven. With Decent cooking capacity 73L, 2 wire shelves, 1 baking tray and grill tray which is more than enough to cook multiple items. Love the large knobs to select cooking function and temperature, and has an overall high quality feel, unlike other brands (Fisher & Paykel, Bosch to name a couple) in the… Read more
same price range i was comparing with. 3 oven lamps is the best thing I love about this oven. 1 at the back top for grilling, 1 on the right side half way down and 1 on the left 3/4 way down. One thing I really dislike is not being able to see how the food is cooking, having 3 lamps makes me really happy! 2 Telescopic runners are brilliant, 1 for grill tray and 1 halfway down for wire shelf or baking tray. Both telescopic runners allow the shelf and tray to be pulled all the way out making for easy access, and easily glide back in them back in with small push.
Cooking - I've had a few hits and misses. I find at lower cooking temperatures its spot on to what the recipe recommends, but at higher temperatures I find I have to bump it up a little more (10 degrees) to match recommended cooking time. But overall this oven cooks evenly, even with 2 different items at the same time. I have tried most of the cooking functions, and for the first time ever I actually use each function to cook whatever the item is as per recommended function. 99% of the time with previous ovens I've always just selected Fan Force because I find other functions didn't cook as well. But with this oven I have found each function works even better to match the item I'm cooking.
To finish up - When comparing to similar priced brands I believe this oven is far superior. Look and feel, build quality, number of useable functions, 2 telescopic shelves, 3 lamps and even cooking ticked all the boxes. After researching ovens for 2 months before I purchased this brand and model, I could not find any other brand in similar price range that could offer all of these features.
Fantastic oven – Highly recommend. good value for money. Great consistency with the heat throughout the oven. Everything we have cooked has been a success. much better than any other oven we have previously owned. They even gave us a bonus baking dish with the purchase worth over $120. Purchased from Harvey Norman. Show details
