Was the best oven ever, cooked everything beautifully. But now after 4years something’s wrong. Oven – Was the best oven ever, it cooked everything beautifully. So easy to use loved it made cooking so exciting you could’nt wait to use it. But now after 4years it’s malfunctioning. Won’t stop cooking doesn’t cool down. The only way to turn it off is at the switch board. We need to get it fixed

Double Oven – Just had an Electrolux double oven fitted. Best oven I've had. Perfect temperature every time. So easy to use. Clean simple, best cooking and just perfect. Great purchase. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone considering renovating or building a new home. Do yourself a favour. You wont regret it.

Worst oven imaginable – There are no words to describe how incredibly awful this oven is. I am an amateur chef and this oven has ruined my life. Regardless of settings/mode, shelf position etc, my days as a talented and successful cook are over. It's like a steam oven. Crisp roast vegetables and pork crackling are a thing of the past. Cakes are invariably dry and unevenly cooked. When called out, the service tech essentially told me I was incompetent and couldn't follow instructions. So I went back to the manual. Tried assorted modes and shelf positions. Still no success. I'm appalled that I spent so many thousands of dollars; if only I'd known that my grandmother's 40 year old, non-fan forced oven would leave this thing for dead.
My plan is to throw this ridiculous waste of space and money to the rubbish tip. I can't, in all conscience, give this oven away; I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
The highlight of my life will be to tip this piece of junk off the back of a truck, and watch it shatter into a million pieces.
I've always had Smeg, and that's where I'll be spending my money again.
It's hardly surprising that Electrolux have discontinued most of their ovens. It's a shame they aren't providing compensation.

Cheap Double Oven with many features and some flaws – I purchased this oven as it was pretty much the only double oven in Harvey Norman with 2 full size oven compartments and a full set of features for both top and bottom oven. There are a lot of negative reviews for the related ovens and I can see why (Mostly due to what I have described as 'design flaws'). However, some I think are a little unfair and because people haven't adapted to their new oven.
I have had a couple of months to play with this oven and these are my opinions. (Thermocouple tests were NOT done under lab conditions.)
Good Points:
- Both top and bottom oven have the same set of features.
- The oven heats reasonably evenly front to back
- The grill works well
- I like the interface (my wife is not too sure)
- The front of the doors remain cool (So far - child touch safe)
- I like the timers and the switch off feature
- Relatively inexpensive
- Sliding drawers
Bad Points
- There are a few to many settings. (Just give me a fan oven at 180 degrees already!)
- In fan oven mode the things do not cook to the recipe setting. (I often have to use non-fan values from recipes) Fan assisted Bake mode seems to sort this problem.
- Once the oven is at temperature the displayed temperature is not updated properly. (See design flaws)
- If you switch from grill to oven mode the oven temperature can be way too low
- There is quite a variation in temperature between top to bottom of oven - even in fan mode.
- Sliding drawers don't come out far enough (Remedied in the next model I am told)
Observed Design Flaws (in my opinion)
- Using a thermocouple (accuracy +- 0.5 degree C) I measured fluctuations of up to 10% of the ovens desired temperature over cooking period. (20 degrees C at a setting of 200 Degrees C). The average temperature over 30 minutes was within 1%.
- The Pyrolytic Fan cover blocks the fan. The over works significantly better in fan mode without it. Sadly I have no alternative fan cover and don't want to risk using it without!
- The oven thermostat is located in the top left corner of the oven right next to the grill element. This means that it still detects the oven to be very hot for a while after the grill has been switched off - Even if you are attempting to use it as an oven. I measured the oven to be 40 degrees C despite the fact that the oven confirmed it was at temperature for fan cooking at 200 Degrees. (The oven display said that the temperature was at 200)
- The oven temperature fluctuations are not displayed on the oven display and therefore must be calculations or averaged over a very long period.
- As a result of many of the above issues the fan makes little or no difference to the cooking. However, if you use it in a combined mode for example bake and use non-fan assisted guides for cooking times you should be okay.
- Why did they not include multiple thermostats? This thing has a mini computer in it. It can cope with more than one thermostat!
Conclusion
I am okay with this oven. I really wanted a double oven with all the features in both sections and now that I am used to its little quirks it makes a stylish addition to our kitchen.
I am still able to cook all the things I used to cook in it (twice).
It has low temperature cooking so doing 6 hour low temp roasts works quite well.
It is a real shame they made some rooky mistakes in the design of the pyrolytic fan cover and placement of the thermostat.
It was the cheapest 2xfull sized oven in Harvey Norman by about $1000
