Why does this oven struggle to brown pastry at 230c after 35 minutes? It's not cooking evenly, outside cakes are hard whilst waiting for centre to cook. Pastries are taking way too long to brown in the centre and then the filling is ruined. What a disappointment. $1700 oven.

Hi, My EVEP616BA takes so much longer to cook and brown. Today I have checked my oven and it seems to be about 80deg C below what it should be. Can you tell me how to fix it, Thanks

Thanks for making contact Julie. I have tested my oven tonight by putting an oven tempeture gauge and it seems to be ok. I will try it again when I’m cooking something. Yesterday I made scones and instead of cooking in 10-15 mins as per recipe they took about 22mins and although cooked were not brown. Other recipes I have cooked take a lot longer to cook. Nothing ever burns!! I would appreciate your thoughts and help. Regards. Susan

Same problem here, Susan. Good luck. I can't brown pastry on 230c. All my cooking has to be left so much longer. Sausage rolls after 35 minutes were only starting to brown on outside of cooking tray, middle of tray was pale and unappetising. Filling was rubbery and hard because of the time needed to actually colour the pastry..

The Power On button intermittently won't turn the oven on and there is a beep from the oven every 2 to 3 minutes. When the button does work, the oven appears to function normally, any help?

Display no longer works for the function settings. All I see is time and the temp. How to fix this?

I was changing the clock to the correct time and it set perfect. I then scrolled through to change the brightness and I arrowed through to get it brighter and the setting displays completely disappeared. All the other 'light up' displays are showing up, just not the settings to tell me what I'm scrolling through. We have no idea how to fix this as I can't read what type of cooking its set on or what function it's on?? Please help. We have turned off at main switch and turned back on to try re set and this didn't change anything.

ok try these buttons.. power, up, ok, up x 4, ok, that gets you to screen settings. try up again from there

Hi,

There seems to a lot of negative feedback on the internet in regards to the electrolux oven EVE613SA. I would also like to know if food is hard to crisp up and if the oven has had issues with heat distribution.

We love our oven, we don't have any problems with it at all. We use the air fryer for smaller things because it's quicker, but with the larger items it's great. I make pavlova's which are always cooked evenly so there's certainly no problem with heat distribution.

The negative feedback is well deserved. This oven struggles to cook a steak in 15 minutes due to the element cycling off and on Our old F & P oven would do it in half that time.

I am looking to buy an electrolux eve613sa from harvey norman's. Can you tell me if it will brown food properly, or does it cook more slowly? I don,t want cooking to take extra time, as one review mentioned. - pauline
