Electrolux EVEP616SC Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: EVEP616SCWe ar so disappointed with how the wire racks sit on the telescopic runners. The racks don’t sit flat because they are shaped to fit the regular racks too so they can easily fall between the runners. The oven tray screeches so badly as you slide it in too. Feeling like we’ve got the wrong racks or something it’s so bad.
Mine fit very neatly. Ensure you have the racks the correct way. On one edge of wire rack is a small upstand about 1 cm tall. that should be inserted facing up and towards the back of the oven. If I try to insert other ways , it will fit , but not as neat and secure.
Wish I could add a photo on here… I’m wondering if we have the right trays tbh because we tried them every way including what seems like upside down and nothing works!
How to fit the glass back in door?
My oven doesn’t turn on when I press the on button No light or buttons are displayed screen is totally black No button works Checked the fuse in the electrical box it is working
We purchased this oven March 2020 and since then we have had to replace the control panel under warranty as it would randomly stop working. Now that it is out of warranty it is happening again. The oven can be on and cooking beautifully but then it wont let you turn it off, adjust the temperature, set a timer, etc. Anyone else had this issue. Is this a fault with the product or do we have to accept it and buy a replacement panel?
My EVEP614DSD door is open and the child lock is on so the door won’t close. Tried turning child lock off but oven just says SAFE. I have turned power off for 5 minutes and reset, still can’t turn off child lock.
As unhelpful as they are, I think this is a question for Electrolux as I have never had this situation. Good Luck.
What is error code F 239 ?

Really disappointed with the oven. I used the self-cleaning function today just because the display panel kept urging to clean the oven. Half way through the process, the oven stopped working and showed error code F104. The door was locked for the process and then it could not be unlocked after that. I tried to disconnect the oven from the breaker for a few minutes and brought it back to electricity. The oven restarted the self-cleaning process and there was no way to cancel/stop the process until error code F104 was back again. Now the oven is locked and it seems that the pro of the oven - pyrolitic cleaning - is a con to anyone considering to give it a try.
Mine comes with two extensions rails and is recommended to fit on the bottom and third rail up BUT this really leaves no space for the third manual rack. Kinda disappointed as there is a lot of space unused because of the height of these extension rails when installed. All I could come up with is extension rail 2nd from top and extension rail second from bottom leaving space for the manual rack on the bottom. A bit of a disappointing design fault really. Yes it does work out too small for my needs. New one week old.
Does any one else have issues with the sliders falling apart? Like the little clips that attaches to the rails falling off.
evep616sc Telescopic rails now flying out / sliding out of the oven when you open the door - even with a rack of food, the rack still flies out to meet you. The oven was installed in the cabinet and is set high with spacers underneath it already, and it can't be moved any higher up. How can we solve this issue ?

Hello, yes I would like to talk with someone at Electrolux to get information about why this very common fault occurs. I have had technicians look at the fault & they contacted Electrolux for technical support. They ordered the replacement set of side rails for my oven - which took over 6 weeks to arrive. Only to then find that the racks they received despite being the correct parts number etc the Electrolux replacement runners did not fit on the oven side racks - yet they were the part they were told to order from Electrolux. Which makes the problem incredibly drawn out and the oven remains incredibly unsafe to physically use, because the telescopic rails fly out of the oven cavity so much faster when they are at regular cooking temperatures. It's highly dangerous and my daughter has already been burnt by one of the rails shooting out at her. We are deeply disappointed that this is the 3rd significant fault in the oven since purchase & installation. Faults should not be occurring in high end electrical domestic appliances. This is a very dangerous issues to have with the oven. We have already had to have the main fan replaced due to that hitting am internal part of the oven and making a horrific sound, then the temperature display and front panel had to be replaced due to heat and steam getting inside the front pannel and now the rails flying out at you with or without a try of food items is incredibly dangerous. And should however have been constructed in such a way that this can even occur. Rebecca HB
Hi I purchased this Electrolux model EVEP616SC oven specifically for the self cleaning function, as I have Chronic Lung Disease & can not use chemical based oven cleaners etc. I used the self cleaning Pyrolytic function for the first time today and whilst the sides, bottom, roof & back of my oven looks like it is brand new & completely spotless, the glass on the door has clean only about 70% of the glass & has left a weird area of unclean glass around the sides and across the bottom, making the glass look distorted & terrible, it looks really bad & I'm left wondering why this has occured and how an earth do I get it clean like the rest of the glass that is spotless. I'm throughly impressed with how clean the oven is, its just the sides & across the bottom of the glass looks worst than it did prior to running the cleaning cycle. How do I get it looking as good as the rest of the oven ?
as the glass does not have a self clean coating , it does not clean the same as the interior walls. unfortunately , a bit of elbow grease. Have not noticed mine coming out any different prior to the self clean cycle. I have found using a dish washing tablet, wet , gently rubbing on the glass does have pretty good results.(wear gloves)
Still very happy with the oven Had the kitchen fully renowed, but still kept the oven
You’re lucky if you notice any difference in the glass. Mine doesn’t clean at all on the pyrolytic function and I have to clean it all myself. I use a few methods- the dishwasher tablet as previously mentioned, gumption or just plain vinegar and elbow grease.
Hi , I previously suggested dishwashing tablers work well ( yes they do work). But discovered , stailess steel cleaner , works better and faster. "Baracatt copper and stainless steel powder". Work great on stainless steel as well
We have our new oven installed for the last 2 months and loving it, how ever I used the cleaning function last night on normal mode 2 hours. Then it cut out in 1 hour with nothing on. Extremely dangerous I thought the kitchen was catch on fire from the extreme heat. After cooling down for approximately 4 hours it rebooted. The only thing working is the clock with no control. Does this sound like a controller issue etc
Does not sound correct , Contact Electrolux We used self clean again last night , On light clean . Doors lock, Superheats for about 90 minutes. Doors remain locked until cooled down . Works pretty well

I have a rather new Electrolux oven EVEP616, Could you please advise how I can set the oven to start/stop at a particular time. I know how to use the timer - it is just to be able to set it at an earlier time e.g. 4 hours.. I enjoy this oven & am still getting used to it. Kindest regards, Elaine
Sorry, that’s one feature I don’t use. I know how to set it to turn off after a certain time, but not sure about turning on. The off timer is the timer on the left if you are facing the oven. Hope that helps.
Yes , start from controls , left to right 1. turn ON 2, Set function, 3, Set Temp. 4, Set Cook Time., whilst adjusting the cook time you will also see display changing to show what time the cooking will finish From here you can do nothing for 8 seconds or touch OK Then oven will start cooking , and turn off after the elapsed cook time ( cook timer will count down. OR After setting cook time You then can adjust delay time to extend when you wish the cooking to finish, which therefore delays the start time, Select ok , or do nothing for 8 seconds , and the timer will be set , to cook for required amount of cook time and turn off for the "set end time"
We are still very happy with the oven
Hello Rick, Thanks for replying to my email. I will try your second paragraph with extending the delay time of finished cooking, which will then hopefully delay the start time. Still think it would be much easier to have a start/stop timer. Regards, Elaine
My telescopic rails slide out them by themselves. When you push them in and close the door you can hear them slide forward onto the glass. Anyone else had this issue or a fix for this?
yes , , when installing the oven into the oven cabinet cavity, place a 3mm packing strip under the bottom of the oven at the front edge. if its already installed , remove 2 small holding screws , visible once door is open , located at the top left and right corners , lift oven slightly , and install spacer/ packer underneath oven and re-install screws, they should still screw in at slightly different spot into the cabinet
My wife thinks this oven is too small. She reckons you can't fit a family size roast on one tray and have another roasting tray above it. Is she right or wrong?
It is a tight fit with the way the shelves are positioned but you should be able to do it by using the roasting tray shelf that comes with the oven.

Is this a self-cleaning oven that works?
Haven't used the self cleaning facility as yet but I am quite positive it will work.
I just used the pyrolytic function for the first time, oven was pretty clean but the reminder came up to tell me to do it. I think the oven has shut down half way through. The whole thing is too hot to touch.
yes , works reasonably well , we have self cleaned about 6 times mostly minor clean , once medium clean, oven door locks during clean and after , until finished and cooled down sufficiently
