I wouldn't purchase a electrolux pyrolytic oven ever again. Just over 12mths installed lock error codes are continuously appearing, apparently the service man said they are renowned for this trouble, now taking and replacing many components as they can't figure out exactly the issue as they only repaired it for this same issue 1 month ago. If it… Read more

plays up again its going in the bin. Just lucky we have 2 ovens installed(1 normal) DONT PURCHASE ELECTROLUX PYROLYTIC OVENS THEY KNOW THEY ARE TROUBLE.

Outside of warranty – UPDATE AUGUST 2025. Electrolux paid for a servicing company to come and look at the oven. They managed to replace the fan cover and tap in screws in new holes in the back of the oven. Most of the rust was on the metal fan cover and I am grateful that they could find a fix. The original screw holes are covered by the new fan cover plate, which I… Read more

was worried about as they had rusted to the size of a five cent piece. The cover is slight out of square but the fan works and it doesn’t hit the cover. I presume they will continue to rust behind the fan cover but I presume I will get a few more years out of the oven, which is a good thing. I am grateful that Electrolux came to the party and found a fix as I was going to struggle replacing the oven so soon after purchasing it. Thank you Vivian for taking the time and paying for the repair. Thank you Electrolux.

UPDATE ON OVEN!! Ok, this review is important!! The oven has started to rust from the inside. I noticed a lot of rust towards the back of the oven. I unscrewed the two screws holding the fan cover and the back of the fan cover has rust all over it, the screw holes are so rusted the screws won’t go back in. It would appear that the glazing is thin/patchy as it has rusted on flat surfaces through and around the glazing. WHO MAKES A STEAM OVEN THAT CANT DEAL WITH STEAM. honestly, I think I’ve only used the steam a couple of times. Maybe it’s the pyroclean function? Either way the oven is now officially rubbish. 3-4 years and it’s done. I see they are selling these ovens for just under $2000.00. Do not waste your money and do not expect Electrolux to come to the party when I have only used their product as describe. (I’m not to sure what else you could do to not use it within specs! - I’ve only cleaned it with pyroclean when it’s told me too?).

The cracks in the enamel did not spread, mute issue, but information if anyone else has a similar issue.

We fitted out our entire kitchen and laundry Electrolux/Westinghouse products. The first oven we received was shorting itself out on the inside casing. It was replaced and the second unit has been working well. I’ve been keep up with cleaning it with the pyro cleaning as it’s been 28 months.l, and a few months past its warranty. The inside of the unit is starting to crack and I’ve rung Electrolux about the issue. They have told me is is outside of the warranty period and they can’t do anything about it. I don’t know if it is the pyro cleaning that has caused it? I should have got the extended warranty. Has anyone else experienced the same issue?

So much trouble for an expensive and near new oven – 1/2/22 1,888.00 the light went and was replaced under warranty as it looked like a very expensive replacement. The front had rust on it and was replaced. Now the stove is not heating up to the correct temperature and is just saying it is hotter than it is or just trying and trying to get to selected temperature.. I would expect this to be… Read more

fixed under warranty. We purchased the electrolux ceramic cook top at the same time and and it performs very, very poorly also, erratic takes 30 minutes to heat up. We have no confidence in Electrolux products. We would like replacements as these items were not cheap, including installation and are both very, very disappointing. Full receipts and documentation available. The temperature from back to front is definitely not even also.

After 40 years of ovens, this is the best – After many ovens in many houses this is by far the best oven we've ever had. The steam cooking is amazing. Moist, even and fast! Was a lot more than what I wanted to pay for an oven... But again, you get what you pay for. Design, function and asthetically very good. Lighting is brilliant and love the two tracks on rails. Used for 6 months... Haven't done a pyro clean yet... Show details

Unacceptable After-Sales Service – Oven failed to work after less then 6 months, and after doing a pyrolytic clean. Reset electricity twice still failed to reset. Reported the problem to Electrolux who will now take 8 days before they will send somebody out to look at at. Must they have a lot of failing appliances. Not impressed for the price paid. Would not recommend this… Read more

product. UPDATE: Person came to look & advised needs new door lock - will request overnight from Adelaide (I'm in Sydney) and return Next Thursday !! - Not happy. Today (Wed) receive text to which I cannot respond telling me my service is scheduled for another week. I try to ring but more than 30 min wait. I leave msg asking whether this is a joke? Receive same text saying scheduled for the 10th. Not even bothered to call me to or apologise - later text arrives saying part not available. AVOID AT ALL COSTS - now looking at min of 3 weeks without an oven - disgusting treatment of their former customer. I want the oven gone !!

Brilliant oven, love the steam function – We purchased this oven just under a month ago, originally we were going to get the model below (616DSD) but they were out of stock and we got a great price on this model instead. I didn't think the steam function was going to be that useful, and boy was I wrong, It's brilliant - we use it mainly for bread baking and roasts. The oven is super… Read more

easy to use thanks to it's graphical display, and easy to use control system, it heats up quickly and the temperature display will show you not only your preset temperature, but also the current temperature - very handy to keep on eye on when it's nearly ready to go.

Another thing I thought would be a gimmick is the food probe, but that combined with the steam function have been the 2 most used features of this oven - I really like the fact that it will show the current internal temperature while you are cooking and that it will calculate the cook time as well, which has made prep time a lot easier for other items that need to go in during the cycle.

One of the main drawcards for this oven was the telescopic rails, which are good, but I have found hard to keep clean, the other for us was the Pyrolytic function which I have only used twice, but both times it has worked well, although you do need to remove all the racks for this so they still have to be scrubbed.

All in all, it's a great, easy to use oven that cooks consistently and evenly, with the bonus of looking stunning in our kitchen with the matching fridge we purchased at the same time.

Absolutely brilliant so far – This oven has been brilliant so far and the food cooking time has been cut in half from the old Westinghouse , roasts come out perfect . The steam function is great and the food comes out so much moister with it. Still getting my head around the temp probe cooking and the suggested cooking times they refer to in manual . Haven't done a pyro clean… Read more

on it yet as we just give it a bit of wipe over when finished and still looks new inside . You do fill the steam drawer a few times during a roast cook and i haven't had to drain it as yet , but you have to take door off , no particularly hard as its two latches but be careful as if you pull door off in horizontal position latches flick up and hit glass , so undo latches in horizontal position and lift up to 45 degrees then remove door . A great oven so far and couldn't be happier

Grill element burnt out 2 weeks old – I bought a new Electrolux EVEP618DSD oven and after two weeks the oven display recommended a light pyro clean. As the oven got half way through the cleaning cycle, the top grill heating element started to glow extremely bright in one small spot just before it burst into hot sparks and melted. See pictures. Harvey Norman would not let me post this… Read more

review on their website, how very dishonest.

I have since researched and found that other Electrolux oven models EVEP618 have burnt out worse. Stay away from this model of oven.
