I’m very happy with this new oven! I absolutely love it! When my old Westinghouse died, I’d planned to replace it with a new Westinghouse because I liked having a wide oven, however I read the Westinghouse reviews about the problems with the ovens not getting hot enough, and decided to go with this, as it is just as wide. I was worried I’d have the same issues with this Electrolux oven, because there was only 1 very brief independent review of it (as it’s relatively new) and it’s made by the same company as the Westinghouse ovens, but I’m so glad it worked out!
PROS: -Internally bigger than most other 60cm ovens (very wide) - Heats up quickly even without using the fast heat up button (the button makes it incredibly fast) - Food came out nice and crispy, so it does the job well - Easy to use - You can set a precise temp, unlike the other ovens where it’s a manual knob where you need to estimate what temp you have turned the knob to. - Shows you the temp against target temp and beeps when it reaches target temp. It also gives a visual display of how close it is to temp with a coloured line along the bottom of the screen which progresses as the temp rises. Also does the same as it cools down after. When it’s not heating up, it shows the time. - Soft close door (although I’m still getting used to it) - Can use my old Westinghouse oven racks - Reasonably priced for the quality (we paid less than $1k) - can handle high temps - went to 220 degrees easily
CONS: - the racks go up a little at the front and the back, which makes it a little tricky to slide baking trays off them - I’m not a fan of the black colour, but there was no stainless steel option. It shows up fingerprints and water droplets quite easily, although it’s easy to wipe down.
Note: - I have not tried the pyrolytic or steam oven functions yet, and I’ve mainly been using the convection oven
