EWW1275310 years warranty, was bought 6 years ago, doesn't pull detergent and if manually drained the detergent, spins for 6-7minutes then stops working and have to restart again. We've clened the drain and pipes, no coggings. please advise some trouble shooting.

PPal
PPal

1. Inspect the Water Inlet Valve The water inlet valve might not be opening fully or may be restricted. This could prevent sufficient water from entering the detergent compartment. Ensure the water pressure is adequate from the main water supply. If the valve appears to be malfunctioning, you might need a technician to inspect or replace it. 2. Check the Drain Pump and Filter Since the machine does not complete the cycle, it might be due to an issue with the drain pump. Remove and inspect the drain pump filter for any obstructions. Even if you don’t see clogs, sometimes lint or small debris can restrict the pump. Check if the drain pump is making any unusual noises. If so, it may be faulty and need servicing.

My washing machine keeps coming up with E10 message, what does this mean?

Hello, I purchased the Electrolux 12753.

As soon as the warranty expired my machine started to malfunction. My machine is only 6 years old and should be working longer than 6 years given the price I paid for it. Buying a new machine every 6 years is unreasonable and ridiculous.

According to Australian Consumer Law, even though a manufacturers warranty expires, a consumer may still be covered for repairs, or replacement, or refund under Australian Consumer Law.

I believe that the machine is malfunctioning due to a manufacturing fault.

Fix my machine for free Electrolux. I've contacted the ACCC and am going to take this issue further.

Mine died after just under 2 years and electrolux did nothing. Dog of a machine and pathetic company. Had the last laugh by cancelling my order of $10k of kitchen appliances and bought fischer and paykel instead. Best decision I made.

Good on you for cancelling your order. I contacted Electrolux when my machine malfunctioned just out of warranty and they refused to fix it. Electrolux products are terrible.

Machine will not divert water to softener cycle?

Have you checked the dispenser - hopefully is not blocked. If you have no experience testing electrical appliance then get in a repair guy. But if you know what you are doing then approach as follows: DISCONNECT POWER SUPPLY BEFORE OPENING UNIT. Once opened you can power up to do trouble shooting. CAREFUL - there are live life sapping voltages in the machine. DO NOT OPEN IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT COULD KILL YOU. The machine has a solenoid operated valve where the water connects to the machine. This can be acessed by removing the top of the machine. The problem could be electrical - ie not getting the command to open the water valve or it could be mechanical - ie the valve is stuck. If the valve is stuck you could just order a replacement solenoid unit and change it. If it is electrical then more trouble shooting will be required. Do a search on replacing the water inlet valve on an Electrolux - there are lots of videos of what to look for.

I have an EW12753 which has apparently only been used by my wife on cold water and dryer has not been used Inspected and tested element and got hot water to work but clothes will not dry Is there a separate dryer element or a fault with machine

Mine died after 2 years. Electrolux no help. Suggest you leave backdoor open with machine on trolley to facilitate someone stealing it, or set fire to it, then claim insurance.

If it doesn't dry on drying cycle, it may be the same fault as mine - thermostat. Give electrolux service a call, it's 150$ visit plus parts, and they let you know the cost of parts if any need changing. Mine has been working fine since the visit, although I can't say I'm happy to have to pay for repairs in a barely 3y old machine.

Our Electrolux EWW 12753 hasn't been working on the drying cycle. That is clothes are still totally wet/cold at end of drying cycle. Does anyone know if there is a known fault and standard fix for this please? It's an expensive unit. Thank you.

Andrew m.

I emailed Electrolux directly and they sent a polite but useless reply. The problems with the Electrolux machines not drying and the problem with the Electrolux digital selector only working half the time appear to be VERY common to this machine. Surely they would know some fixes for these common Electrolux washer dryer problems, but hey refused to give any information or suggestions for the actual fix. Instead we are all left with an expensive but faulty Electrolux washer dryer that is faulty after relatively little use. If Electrolux want to save their brand image they would be wise to show they both care about their customers, and demonstrate they understand their own machines, by going through the fixes for these common problems publicly on this and other forums.

Heater element is dead Part No: 132724240

Alex

Heater element or heat sensor (thermostat). In my case, thermostat and the rotary dial were both changed as the button was also playing up. Very common. Give them a call and book a service, it's 150 + parts, I think the parts are not expensive and they will let you know before changing anything that costs extra. Been working fine since the fix, although I'm not very happy that it did fail only 3 years in.

Andrew
Andrew

Rick. I bought and fitted a new heater element Part No: 132724240, which also includes a new thermostat. It still doesn't dry or even get warm on drying cycle. So, I guess I'll need to call for a service.

Hi Andrew, what was your eventual fix and part number replaced, if you would be so kind. We have the same problem and I have measured the element which is ok and the thermostat which is part of that element assembly as ok too, so don't want to get service people involved to just come and tell me what I already know, at huge cost. thanks for any info if its available.

My fix for now is to just plan ahaead and hang clothes out on a clothesline. A repairer said don’t bother, these Electroluxs are lemons.

How do I get my machine to dry only. What ever setting I choose on the dial always washes first and then only sometimes drys after.

Use the setting of drying mixed or drying cottons.

Thanks for the response, the issue is it wouldn’t change programs, but I opened it up and checked the chip board was covered in grime and and rust, have it a clean and it’s all working. Now the spindle can change programs not just default to same program

Hi does any body can solve my problem? The potions in my control panel doesn’t show properly in digital screen , for example when I turned from to cotton mood its disappeared but the next one(mixed mood) is working and the other(delicate) not , however sometimes it works good but most of the time it’s not?!

Have an EWW12753 washer/dryer, just out of warranty. Dryer runs, but has no heat. No error codes and clean drain filter. Would this be attributed to the THERMAL FUSE? Thanks.

This also happened with ours, I believe it was a wiring issue.

I have the same issue ! How is this a writing issue? Thanks

Alex

Also would be curious.... came here looking for the exact same issue, dryer runs but no heat. Machine is 3 1/2 years old, warranty was 2. Not cool, I expect a $1000 item to last at least 5 years. Edit: electrolux tech came, $150 for visit plus parts, thermostat replaced and it's working. Although I can't say I'm 100% happy to pay for a repair in a 3y old machine that everybody has the same issue, to me it's a clear manufacturing defect.

The spin function seems to perform a back and forward motion rather than spinning. I don't find it effective. Also can't spin for a lesser time then 8 minutes. Often I need a shorter time. Advice please? Perhaps I am not using the spin function correctly.

Andrew
Andrew

Troy C Mine was wires snapped due to vibration.. During spin cycle ... silly small gauge wires and too short.. Electrolux were no help at all.. No offer of assistance $$$ or tech support. During covid lockdown...

I fixed myself with automotive inline joiners.. I could email you some pics.. Easy fix..

However Took a few days of trial and error to work out ...under top lid I discovered lose broken wires on final look ... I only just promised, buying a new machine to wife after 3 or 4 days family washing piling up ... lol..

Poor design short and brittle small gauge wire. Destined to fail.. but quick fix for a handy man/person lol. Will break again due to wire fragility.

Working great ever since Took about 2 to 3 hrs to solder, join and check .. .. the vibration may still break in other locations .. but I know what to look for now...

Hi Andrew. I know this was some time ago but i would be interested in the pictures if you can locate them. Also a guide how to remove machine top. We are facing a machine that does not dry by heating at all currently! Dop 2018 and it was very expensive. Element and thermostat are good so problem is likely more serious! No wires have problems that I can see and only suspect left is the control pcb. All wiring does seem to be very light considering the heater current draw and vibration in other areas (as you found). Any other info or comments would be appreciated too. thanks from South Australia.
