Website needs redesign – Bought off ebay. Scanned QR code to access the website. The 'software' link is hard to understand. I downloaded 3 different apps, none of which worked at all. Another app I didn't download due to a warning message that 'file could harm your device'. So this cute little matchbox sized thing was a waste of money. Excellent device with stable data flow to iPad – Bought this device on ebay for $10 - best $10 I think I've ever spent! mechanics for the next service. Potentially avoid being ripped off by mechanics that want to charge you for things that don't need replacing or fixing. The mechanic will plug his own device into your vehicle and get exactly the same data as you've already got.

The app this device connects to is pretty awesome (even the free version is feature-rich). THe device itself creates it's own wifi network for your iphone or ipad to connect to so no need to be near your home wifi. The device and the connection to my ipad seems reliable and stable, as is the data flow to my ipad.

I'm not a car person / don't understand all the acronyms and terminology, however the data this device pulls and displays is very close (if not identical) to what the mechanic will get when they plug their own ELM237 OBDII device into your car.

Allows recording of each trip taken, fuel use....so many reportable functions of the car 's performance that It's overwhelming!

For $10 this device is excellent value for money (note: this version is just the wifi version, although you could opt for the wifi with bluetooth option model), and at least you'll know ahead of time what faults exist with your vehicle before getting to mechanic and being told there.

ELM 327 – What a lot of rubbish, all this product does is the same as your vehicles dash: revs, speed and coolant temp.
