we moved in they replaced the oven. Today- I turned the oven on to cook some chicken- oven doesn't work. It is now 4 months out of warranty so I guess we will have to foot the bill to have it repaired. If it is too expensive I will ditch the whole thing and but a more reliable brand.

It blew up 4 days out of warranty ! – Can't be more objective than what I stated in my title however text requires more than 30 words. So what can I say. It worked ok as an oven, but I would've expected it to last a little bit longer than 2 years. Show details

Rotten oven – This oven has been operating poorly since we purchased it. It is always under temperature so when i cook i have to turn the oven up to very high temperatures. The oven has cit out on several occassions when it gets too hot. It leaks moisture during and after cooking into draws underneath the oven. vegetables on a small tray grilling on the highest setting for a short period of time. We were very disappointed, as you can imagine.

After purchasing a replacement inner glass panel from a local appliance spare sales shop, I wrote to the distributor (Glemgas) who agreed to refund the appliance spares store who in turn refunded me, which was fantastic customer service.

Made in Italy – Bought this oven brand new from a couple who'd moved into a display home and had bought a different one. I've had it installed almost two months now. I like how it looks and thrilled that it has Made In Italy on it. than usual. Once I discovered this, cooking has become much better. I baked a banana cake a few weeks ago and it came out perfect. Next, the temperature dial MUST be turned on along with the grill setting else the grill won't work - the guy at Glem who took my inquiry must not have known this either when I called him thinking the grill was broken. The grill works really well. I always take the grill shelf out when using the oven. The grill and oven will not work at the same time. I like the fact that the timer is just a timer and that it doesn't turn the oven off. Good basic oven, no worse really than others I've used.

Not Happy with this Oven – Have had this oven for just under 2 years and for the second time the heating element has blown. Not impressed that I had a roast out to cook yesterday and couldn't. warranty will have run out after next month. Not happy that the warranty from this part isn't extended for another 2 years after replacing.

Do note buy this oven – Bought in 2014 it has broken every year since then - that’s 4 times that parts have had to be replaced now. The guy who runs Emilia is also not super great to deal with and not very happy about fixing his crappy oven each time either. Not great, it must be an very old design – Bought the oven mid last year, since we got it we had problems. Installation service was awful, cables did not run properly, we had to have the technician over 3 times. less) one for the light and the ventilation options (grill very weak), and one for the minutes (be careful, just as a timer, it does not switch off the oven if you set a certain amount of time).

Biggest mistake ever was not incorporating the light that indicates the oven has reached the wanted temperature.

How can you build an oven in 2017 without it?????

Won't use the oven again – I am not happy with the way my food is "cooked". My oven was installed in November 2016 and did not get hot enough from the beginning. I have had a bigger jet installed and the thermostat adjusted and it still does not get hot enough to cook properly. I use a higher temperature than recommended and longer time than recommended and my food is still not cooked. Not happy. Dangerous – This oven was fitted brand new straight out of the box in February of 2014.but did not work and required a technician to attend to rectify the internal problem. stopped working again but this time it was the main switch and wires which had melted internally and judging by the black and charred burnt plastic, its a surprise that the house didn't catch fire.

worst oven ever !! & Now Christmas is ruined – Heats unevenly and has been consistently poor , has had 3 elements replaced as is only 8 months old, parts take sometime 3- 4 weeks . will be replaced under warranty, but after searching on other reviews it seems this is not an uncommon occurrence with Emilia ovens so I'm not at all confident with this oven now.

I'll post an update when I see how the follow-up service goes.

January 10th 2019 Update: First the door, now the temp controller has blown up

I posted a review some time ago about the glass door exploding, now the oven temperature controller has stopped working (the griller still works).

We've always found that the oven doesn't heat properly but had worked around that.

My hubby was cooking roast pork for Christmas lunch when we heard a popping/cracking kind of sound, as if glass had shattered, but couldn't work out where the sound came from. After a while, hubby checked on the roast and discovered that the oven temperature was going down, and finally it just became cold, so we figure it was the oven temp controller that we'd heard. He had to drive back/forth to my mother's place to get the roast cooked for Christmas and understandably wasn't too please about that.

Appliances Online have put a service call in with Emilia, but whether we get it fixed will depend on the quote.

If it's more cost-effective to replace, we certainly won't be buying another Emilia.
