Epson Expression ET-2720 Questions & Answers

Hi there, Unfortunately if there are no specials on, that's the price that you'll pay. I can say though, that i am now three months short of owning this printer 2years. Apart from a reset and topping up of the black ink, i have had no problems with this printer and i still love it - unlike the G3600

Hi Lesley Good question and i can only say that i have not used the ET-2720 to print glossy photos - I did check the Epsom Australian site (as you probably have) and it does say - Max Photo Default - (10x15cm)/4” x 6” *Approx. 90 sec per photo2 * When printed on Premium Glossy Photo Paper

So, my first thought is when you say "quite pink" after you tried the glossy - did you try a print again with normal paper, just to see if it printed correctly on normal paper? If it was still pink i would run a Nozzle check.

I checked the manual external link  and it says on page 140

Do one of the following: • If there are no gaps, the print head is clean. Select No and press the OK button. • If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, select Yes and press the OK button. Follow the instructions on the screen to clean the print head. If you don’t see any improvement after cleaning the print head up to 3 times, turn off the product and wait at least 12 hours. Then run a nozzle check and try cleaning the print head again. If quality still does not improve, run a Power Cleaning. If there is still no improvement, contact Epson support.

Hi Biyamaru. Have you set up the Epson ET- 2720 to print and are you able to print without a USB connection? If you did and can print via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, I dare say you may have installed what you need on the initial installation.

I have never used this printer to scan before and usually take a photo on my phone and send that to the pc but since you asked the question, I thought I had better give it a go and the scan worked perfectly - so this is what I did. On the printer. Put the document as you would if you were going to print. On the printer control panel - push the House icon on the left On the view panel screen - mine is set to copy as that is what I mainly do - push the right arrow beside the OK button to move the screen panel view along until you see the Scan picture (which is 5 clicks from the copy screen) Push Ok Push the button again to select the desired outcome e.g. JPEG, PDF etc. On the screen, mine has usb connection or my computers name - I push the arrow down under OK to highlight my computer. Then push the Scan button, which is the diamond shape key with a vertical line in it - located on the far right of the control panel - to start the scan. The scan should save on your computer in pictures (unless you have them saved to go elsewhere)

Don't forget when you finished scanning to return your printer panel to copy.

I hope this has helped - I didn't have to open anything on my pc like the "Epson Scan2" or "Event manager" that you have mentioned. I am impressed with the scan and how easy I was able to do the scan.

Hi Jackie This model does scan, so I now send as an e-mail but to answer your question no this model does not have a fax function. I think the next model up did but it wasn't worth it for me to spend an extra $300+. I use this printer on a daily basis and still have not had an issue with it - I love it and cannot recommend enough - yes it doesn't feel as sturdy as some printers - but the last sturdy printer I had gave me nothing but a nightmare to deal with.
