I have had the Epson WF-3820 for about a year and it worked, although it spit out extra paper when printing multi-sheet documents. Then, suddenly, it won't recognize the black ink. I tried putting in a new cartridge I had from EZ Ink. When it didn't work, called EZ Ink support, who promptly sent me two new cartridges, neither of which worked. Then bought an Epson ink cartridge, which didn't work. Tried all the suggestions shown in videos. The Warranty expired on October 12th, about the time we had problems. So frustrated, plan on buying a new printer, not an Epson unless someone can tell me something else to try, besides cleaning chips, turning off then on, or changing cartridges! I did all those things, and tried so many different cartridges, I don't want to buy any more if the dumb thing won't print (the scanner does still work, so that is something).

We are having this exact same issue today, are there any solutions that worked for you to get it up and running again?

So I also had the same code 000047 show up and restarted the printer multiple times. I then was looking under my printer and found a sheet of paper stuck from the feed tray. I was able to clear the jam and did the restart again and then it loaded like normal. I did have to nozzle clean a few times afterwards but it seems to be working again. Hope this helps.

I've bought a new printer. No one could help fix it.

n the rear of the printer there is a door you must squeeze together these grey pieces to open, pull out the piece and see if there is paper stuck there, once removed the printer might reset the code and function as normal. Hope this helps
