Had many brands of CCTV. But this Eufy is entry level trash. Drops out often. Chat log in. And when you hear a noise it takes so long to pull a camera up tp view it. when problems started to the point where the homebase needs to be reset several times per day as it just stops recording any footage. This obviously completely defeats the purpose. I contacted Eufy support who were quick to respond with the usual instructions. The suggestions did not fix the issue and I supplied my Harvey Norman receipt as requested. No further support was offered and promptly referred back to the reseller. I’m not sure what technical support Harvey Norman is able to provide other than a replacement. Poor customer service from Eufy and I will definitely canvass a refund for all products.
All good till last App update then terrible. Have 2 Homebases - one seems ok while the other is just terrible since the last update the schedule does not obey the set times.. set to come on at 9pm off at 7am but just does random moves into away mode then disarmed mode etc - no logic at all. I have had these cameras for a few weeks. They worked great from the beginning, very easy set up and clear footage. Not reliable, AI is not worth the money – The basics of the Eufy 4G package are good, but I have 5 issues. 1. The homebase regularly goes offline for no reason. I have to restart it to get it working again (not practical if I am away from home) 2. In theory the AI should make it easy to disable notifications for family members, but if you turn off the notification for an identified person it send a message "someone was spotted" or "stranger was spotted" Turn on notification for the same person, and you get a message "fred' or whoever was spotted. I don't see any point paying extra for the AI version as the feature does not work the way it should. 4. The sensor range is too short. The sensor range needs to be doubled to provide proper security. 5. There is a long delay before getting a notification on the app. I go to the front door as soon as I get a notification and the person is already out of the driveway.

Great quality image but durability is becoming an issue – We have a total of 11 Eufy cameras, with 8 of them being the S330 units. Glitchy and very unfriendly user software experience. Over peiced for security offered – Have two Eufy Homebase security systems but will flick them for anything else when I get a chance. You need to be an IT person to work out how to use these systems. Just try to transfer everything to a new phone for example. Wi fi cameras have limited range and use a proprietary wireless configuration so you cannot extend them beyond a limited range. Systems randomly go off line for no reason. What more can I say...

Great when it worked – The camera lasted for a bit over 12 months, just outside warranty. This is very poor for such an expensive system. I wrote to the Australian distributor but no response. I doubt I'll replace it, probably buy one of the other brands instead.

No security...don't waste your money – Regret not reading these first. Total waste of money. Support will only be online for limited time - and never enough to solve the issue. Should not be labelled security - "high cost cameras" would be more appropriate.

Don't buy this expensive product – I have purchase Eufy Cam 3 4 pack 12 month ago and cost me nearly $1,900. Just after 12 months a few days one cam not working. The cam keep flashing and not connect the home base. I try to reset the cam however is not working. I have email to service@myeufy.com.au. But never receive reply. Inconsistent detection makes it totally unreliable for security – Terrible product. It records events very inconsistently. At the highest sensitivity and will detect all motions selected, it will record some events and not others. Eg. sometimes it shows someone approaching the front door, sometimes it won’t. So you’d really only be hoping that it decides to detect an event that you really need it to. Definitely do not recommend. Show details

Useless – An expensive toy. If you just want to check that your car is still in the driveway with the live view then it’s fine. If you expect it to detect and record someone stealing your car then forget it. It’s not a real security system. The motion detection is a joke. Even on the highest sensitivity, it won’t detect any movement further than 3 meters… Read more

used in the repair. How does that work. I buy a brand new item and there is a possibility it will be repaired with second hand parts. I should have checked the reviews before purchasing these cameras and very disappointed in JB HiFi who seemed to have changed their return policies and making it very difficult for warranty situations. So no security leading up to Christmas no ideal. Very poor service from Eufy, extremely difficult to get any assistance on phone or email - very disappointing.

after increasing to max). If someone stays in front of your house and throws any projectiles, no way its going to record who did it. There is no option to increase recording time during motion detection too. I understand this is to save battery and hard disk space but then it undermines the whole purpose. Staff should always tell upfront that this one does not do recording like any normal security camera does. Will try to return this to the store and buy proper security system.
