If I could give less than one star I would! Disgusting customer service. Ask the same questions time and time after time. You provide info time after time after time. REPEAT. You get absolutely nowhere! ALL four cameras now gone in the bin. Will recommend to anyone and everyone never to use these cameras. Show details
I have been generally satisfied with the camera’s image quality and basic operation; however, several key features have not met expectations. Although integration with Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit is supported, the camera cannot respond to essential commands such as turning privacy mode on or off. The geofencing function has also proven… Read more
unreliable — it only switches between Home and Away modes consistently when the Eufy Security app is open and running in the foreground on my iPhone. In addition, the product does not integrate with iPhone Shortcuts or Automations, which limits its effectiveness within a smart home ecosystem.
These issues reduce the convenience and automation potential the camera is advertised to provide. I would appreciate any clarification on whether firmware updates or planned integrations will address these limitations.
Horrible camera – Horrible camera. Always goes offline. You can usually fix it by turning it off and on again at the wall but that defiets the purpose of having the camera at all. Would not recommend. Have an Arlo camera as well and that works perfectly. Show details
Great quality but have to turn off individually – The image quality is amazing. Connects will even when remote. Given it’s an indoor cam I don’t keep it on always. Each time have to turn off each cam individually and wait for the lag in the operation. Then go through the whole loop again to turn it off. There is a geofence feature where you are forced to share your location for it to work and even then it doesn’t actually fully turn off. Show details
Astoundingly good – After two or three cheaper ptz cams that were so glitchy they were unusable most of the time the Eufy is incredibly good! I've had it a few weeks now and continuously surprised how great this thing is. It works every time when I'm away viewing the dog at home out on my phone, alerts me that my pet has been spotted with a picture so I can see if… Read more
she's on the move if I like (you can disable this). Records flawlessly onto my phone or directly to the optional micro sd card. The auto follow works incredibly well and will follow a person moving around the room. It's an absolute pleasure to use

Unreliable Security Camera – Had this camera for about 10 months, but it has a big problem of going offline randomly at anytime and you get no warnings when it happens. The only way you know is by opening the app and seeing the message "Camera is offline (Refresh). This is a unreliable security camera and I don't trust it as far as I can throw it. Not sure if it tries to… Read more
reconnect in the background but 9 out of 10 times you need to turn off/on power to reboot. Too bad if your not home to do that, and in the meantime you have a dead $100 fake security camera? Was thinking of buying one as a gift until all this started happening, and then decided to buy something else instead, that works.
Excellent image quality...features not so great – Bought from JB HiFi on sale $99. I already have hikvision outdoor cameras but needed an indoor urgently so I grabbed this as it was readily available. Image quality is excellent. The features it doesn't have - no windows app. Can use the eufy's web portal. The Web app is useless. It is very slow and no pan tilt control. - No OnVIF support so… Read more
stuck with eufy app. - Cannot connect to camrera Locally. So everything has to go to the cloud before it goes to the app. Unless the app has smarts to check that if the device and app are on the same network, then it will connect directly. - only supports Synology NAS or SD Card storage. - tried to use with Google. It needs a smart display or chromecast
Great features, not so great features – The unit works well. Easy enough to set up and does mostly what I promises to. There are a few hiccups with it though. Setting it to Geofencing seems to be the best way to make it turn on and off as required, because Im a shocker for forgetting to turn it on when I leave. Problem is, I'll be at work and chek the camera and find it's still in… Read more
'home' mode even though I am 15km away. It happened too many times for me to be confident so I have switched to a 'timetable' mode. It now turns on between 7:30am and 5:30 pm work days, and I have to remember to do it manually the other times and on week-ends. There were a lot of false alarms at the start, and I had to decrease the sensitivity down to minimum to getthem to stop. Even then, if a car goes past and the sun is reflected off their windscreen onto the curtains it will give a 'movement' alarm. I am looking for an external camera system and will consider Eufy again but not dedicated just to that brand. Oh, and 1 annoying thing. If you are connected to a wifi network (like at work) that is NOT the same wifi network the camera is on, you can't do anything or control it from your phone. You have to connect to 4G to connect to it and see anything. Update 2/12/22... both cameras i bought have now failed in some way or another. No longer track people either. I won't replace until the new one comes out.
false alarms – got one of those from Bunnings ($95, a week later they were $130, talking about a price hike!) very easy to set up which is fortunate because the English instructions and help are very poor worked great for the first 2 weeks. Then they did a software upgrade, which I did not authorise nor could I block it nor select a suitable time frame. Since… Read more
then I received about 10 false alarms a day. Returned the unit to Bunnings but kept the app on my phone: I am still getting alarms from eufy This could be a really good system: if you don't mind being spied on by the Chinese government and if you don't mind being bombarded with false break-in alarms.
so I'm looking on their website and annoying music comes on, I mute the speaker and music stops, but then it starts playing again. I mute it again: it stops then starts playing AGAIN! These people just can't take no for an answer: THEY want to be in control even with something as basic as a website experience; how sure can you be that they will not spy on you when you have one of their cameras?
Great cameras with excellent images – We now have six of these small cameras that can tilt & rotate 365 degrees. They are 2K video & have excellent images in both day & night mode. They are very responsive & the feature that I really like is that they can be set by a function called "Geofencing". This means that each camera can be set individually so that you have "Home" or a set… Read more
perimeter for "Away" modes (small. medium, large) from about 100m to 400m. This uses your phone to track your location (Geo) so that once you are outside the "Home" zone it then switches to "Away" zone & you set this to give you phone push notifications & intruder alarms. They also have AI to differentiate between a human, pet or other movement. Recordings can be on the internal SD card, NAS or web (paid). They are incredibly responsive & once movement is detected you receive a push notification generally within one second. Video playback or live on your phone is quick & responsive. With the phone thing you can use multiple phones & once these are outside the zone then "Away" becomes active. We have two phones set. I originally bought two from Bing Lee ($99AU each) then four from Aliexpress (Alibaba) which cost $71AU, these though came with an EU plug so these cost extra to replace or you could use a cheap adapter. each camera has a 128GB micro SD card (optional). I highly recommend these as they are really relatively cheap. There are also outdoor battery 2K (365 day) cameras but these are quite expensive.
