Credit where credit is due, the cameras work perfectly, super easy to connect and install but thats about where the positives end. The app is terrible, very rarely opens straight away. After a few attempts it might work or just stop working altogether. Events recorded hardly open straight away, sometimes never, with the intention of security… Read more

cameras thats pretty poor. The door bell takes so long to open whoever rang it is normally gone by the time it decides to work. Motion settings are useless, I've changed to the lowest setting and they have been on human only the entire time and still just constantly go off with Motion detected, almost never anything there. Turning off notifications for individual cameras is impossible. I use homebase2 but might get homebase3 if that will fix these problems but I doubt it. I have a door bell aswell.

Unreliable – - Failure to record events. The cameras are always missing events even when set to the highest sensitivity. - will randomly choose when to start being hyper sensitive to every blade of grass blowing in the wind to birds flying by but won’t pick up humans even when standing right in front of it waving -only seems to be competent when at 100%… Read more

charged so even when battery is half life it will mess up. Only working on 100% defeats the purpose of battery life if it’s supposed to last the whole time.

-only records for a few seconds seeming only to capture the end of an event on the start.

They’re just not a good investment have a look into something else

Unreliable after 6 months, Minimal customer support, impossible to get refund – Bought a 4 Eufy 2Pro and 4Eufy 2C Pro system with Homebase. System fairly easy to set up. Worked fine in initially. After about 6 months, started having multiple recurrent problems including 1- FAILURE TO DETECT or RECORD EVENTS e.g. garage door open/close; someone entering our property and walking out with our dog; cat walking back and forth… Read more

past camera; delivery persons. This despite cams set at HIGHEST motion detection sensitivity and to detect ALL MOTIONS

Sometimes the thumbnails would show an event but no recording of the actual event happened.

2- FALSE RECORDINGS (recording nothing)

3- RECORDINGS stopped prematurely, despite set to record for max of 2 mins

System has been updated, reconfigured, reset, firmware updated. Customer service is a bot with cookie cutter auto replies. Requests to escalate to Eufy human communication are ignored. The most is a request from Eufy for my available dates and times but no Eufy person has ever called back.

Very Impressive Security System – Had this for 6 months before writing this review of which I am not being rewarded. I'm like a lot of readers seeking an unbiased honest review. I wanted the ease of WiFi connectivity and no running cables but with image and sound clarity I could depend on should I need it. I chose the 2K 4 camera system with Home Base 2 as 4 cameras give… Read more

flexibility to cover the average home very well both inside and out with image quality and audio to identify facial features, vehicle registration plates and voice conversations. So here we go. First the set comes complete with 4 cameras, camera mounts and mounting hardware, home base & cable to modem, camera charger and charge cable, instruction booklet. After opening the box start by charging up the four cameras, this will take a few hours, (longer than the actual time to do the camera installation and mobile app set up) but enough time to download and set up the eufy app to your mobile, and read through the included instructions. It's that easy to do, you don't have to be a rocket scientist, basic hand tool skills to mount the cameras and basic IT knowledge is all. As each camera obtains 100% charge link it to your home base as explained in the manual, that way if there is a camera software update pending that camera can be updating while your remaining cameras are charging, allow that update to fully complete before continuing. Then you can see the camera video via your mobile as you begin the camera installation and testing set up. Take note to select where you would like your cameras mounted to give good coverage but also where no one or anything can interfere without being seen in view, so typically in a room corner up high. I found the activation to trigger recording can vary depending how the movement occurs with cross motion quicker to trigger than walking straight toward the camera, so take the time to use the "test" set up as explained in the manual to ascertain the best location to mount the cameras, by walking around and watching the "red" led on the camera to see which location gives the best and most reliable trigger to start recording (you may need help from someone to do this prior to mounting permanently). Once you have the cameras mounted and identified in your app you can view live footage or recorded clips from anywhere with internet available. The included 16GB memory provides enough capacity for recordings, given like most of us as soon as we get the txt alert notification, we watch the footage and if of no importance delete it. You will notice it also captures a still image of the triggering item, but I found that image isn't as clear as the 2K footage, so I froze the video playback and screen captured that paused image. The video footage can be downloaded to your mobile, so if in doubt do this before deleting. You can set up "privacy" zones that will prevent footage being recorded and set up areas or zones you want recorded so as to cover as much as you can without spurious areas outside your intended view, such as passing road or footpath traffic. You can also set up for "human" or "all" movement recording but I found using "human" it did capture at times vehicle movement. There does appear to be a slight lag from triggering to recording, which means by the time it starts recording if the triggering item is moving fast it could be out of view or too far away. Having said that I found those triggers are spurious because it's not something going past that's as important as someone or something loitering around in your protected zone, for those instances it will capture and record sufficiently the details you need dependent on how long it is in the protected zone. I found the audio to be clear enough to hear spoken words within 3 meters of the camera, again dependent on surrounding noises like traffic, wind and if you want to speak you have the ability to conduct a conversation with whoever is in the protected zone, but again it's the 2K image clarity detail I found most important. Battery life on this set is listed at 180days and depends on your activation settings. High traffic area with frequent recordings will use more battery life than less or no recording but I was happy to check and charge before allowing them to deplete completely, I mean if you are going away make sure they are charged up, it's not hard to do. In the app you have all the details available, like contact eufy although I did find asking and obtaining a response a bit tedious and at times longer than I expected. When eufy have a software update it will do that automatically and you will see a notification in the app alerting you that has occurred. Listed for sale around the $799 and with the same 4 camera 4K set up over $1400 found this great value. On a side note I also later purchased a eufy 2K camera doorbell "add on" which links perfectly to this system just as easily as setting up the cameras. As this system uses Home Base 2 whereas the newer Home Base 3 units have been reporting connectability issues so maybe check to see first if that situation has been addressed by eufy should you have that Home Base 3 set up before purchasing the eufy 2K camera doorbell "add on".

Fantastic camera system – This system is so easy to install and operate. The security (alarms on the cameras for motion), as well as the ease in recording activity/motion are so easy to set up and monitor. This system is an exceptional product to help you to deter would be thieves and unwanted visitors to your home. Can't be happier with this product. Show details

Reliable home security system – Purchased a eufy 2C Pro SK system with 4 Cameras plus the Homebase ~12 months ago. Have been so happy with this system, from the ease of setting it up to how versatile it can be in unscrewing the cameras and moving them around. We have them located outdoors in locations where they constantly pick up movement. They never fail to detect something… Read more

(we did a lot of testing with the sensitivity level for each area to find the right level for each). The battery life is very impressive, I think we have to charge them once every ~3-4 months and it is so simple to either unscrew from the wall mounts and bring inside or connect them to a portable charger. We have very reliable, fast internet with minimal dropouts – so the performance of the cameras is extremely good. There is the occasional instance where we cannot view from the app (shows as camera offline) however this doesn’t happen very often and is from the Internet dropping out, not the actually performance.

Being able to quickly switch them on/off as we are leaving home is simple and quick to do. The ability to talk through them is great – from talking to strangers/the postman at the front door to telling our little dog to stop doing something naughty. The night mode has definitely picked up movement (usually a cat) and for any potential intruder the light that comes on is a good deterrent. The price is very reasonable considering how much security they have added to our home and how reliable and easy to use they are. Looking at purchasing a few more as they are well worth the price (although I would recommend testing your internet connection before purchasing as unreliable/slow internet will affect them greatly).
