what was advertised, and there seemed to be little to no effort to verify the actual status of their hosts before taking bookings. What’s most concerning is that it feels like they are quick to take your money without ensuring they can deliver on what’s promised. When issues arise, responsiveness is poor, and there’s no sense of accountability or urgency to resolve problems. Overall, a very disappointing experience that I would not recommend. 1 star

Convenient & affordable – I live in the middle of a large city, and gave up on car ownership about 5 years ago. well designed & very easy to use. Participating owners are all great in my experience, delighted to help clients enthusiastic about the EV future, and almost always flexible about dropoff/pickup, extending the rental etc. Tolls and charging fees take a little while to work their way through the system, but again, owners relaxed about that and me too.

No response from car owner after 24 hours – Booked a car in Perth and 24 hours got an email 'sorry, your booking has not been confirmed and we will refund your payment within 3 days'. Just booked a similar vehicle with Sixt. Instant confirmation. We own 3 EVs and wanted to try another vehicle whilst in Perth. Never booking with EVEE again. Show details

Refund of Deposit has not happened – My brother in law hired a car from your company in December and returned it to you in good condition. He and my sister have emailed your support team on multiple occasions for the security deposit of $500 to be refunded to him however this has not happened. We have received ticket numbers but that's all. No-one has contacted him. Get your act together and refund the security deposit (plus interest for the inconvenience). Show details

Brilliant idea executed extremely well – Every step of the way was easy and straightforward, from picking a host to hire from, to scheduling the pickup and drop off, and uploading the required information to be a user of the site. breeze. The car itself was pristine and the host took the time to introduce the car to us, and highlighted features of the vehicle that we would rely on during the trip itself.

While it would be slightly cheaper to rent a conventional ICE vehicle from the usual suspects, the experience of driving an EV and the fuel savings from charging the battery as opposed to filling up with petrol meant that the eventual cost was similar.

The only thing I would say could bring better customer experience would be to also have an app available for customers to use, instead of only relying on a webpage

Cancelled my booking one day before pickup – Terrible service. Cancelled my booking one day before pickup (after they charged the security deposit) now I am out of 825 dollars from my bank account ($325 booking amount and $500 security deposit) without any car in Sydney. Seamless, excellent Experience – This was the first time we had rented a car and not used a major car rental company. We couldn't have been anymore impressed. costs, you really save a lot more renting with evee on a whole. You get a drive a swanky Tesla which offers you a smooth and silent drive- perfect for road trips around Australia. Apart from the drive itself, the pick up and drop off service of the car was smooth, convenient and efficient. The person I rented the Tesla from was extremely friendly and provided me with a detailed explanation on how I can fully utilise the car on my trip, provided me with multiple websites on where I can find charging points, and even brought me on an introductory drive to make sure I was comfortable before handing the car over. The car was also very clean and in good shape. I love renting with evee and considering how often I visit Australia, it is now the only platform I would consider renting a car from, from now onwards.
