Premium increased by over 25% - no reason given – I've been a loyal insurance customer with Woolworths, with multiple policies; however, this latest renewal quote is the last straw! I enquired why the premium had increased by over 25% - when inflation is now under 5% and the cost insured only increased by 10%; and when I've never made a claim. No transparency and no willingness to consider my… Read more
previous loyalty or the fact I have multiple policies with them; best they could do was offer a $25 gift card (for a premium that had increased by $850py.
So, I will not be renewing with them - and will move my other policy when it comes up for renewal. Great work Woolies....

By far the worst insurance – Worst insurance service ever , not even talking about claims . Staff are outsourced overseas and are very difficult to understand. Very incompetent to complete simple tasks . For example I was on the phone for over 40 min to update my address , staff advised process was complicated and had to put me on hold while consulting tech support !!!… Read more
Eventually could not complete it then transferred me to another team who advised I was transferred to wrong team and eventually no one could help . Don't be con into 10% off – I have had many problems with Woolworths Insurance over the last two years. My investment property in Kingswood NSW was damaged by the massive storm in February 2022. The assessor fixed the roof for $632.50 and then asked for a leak detection test, but when I refused, my claim was refused. After much correspondence I was paid $5476.68 for the… Read more
repair of the house, much much less than my actual costs.
Now Woolworths Insurance is at it again, refusing my loss of rental claim relating to the storm damaged claim, stating the assessor stated that "at no time during this claim was the property uninhabitable, therefore, we are unable to cover you for loss of rent." What a joke? I didn't believe that, so I asked for a copy of the assessor's report. No report from the assessor was forthcoming, then an offer of one week loss of rent. Take it or leave it.
The house was damaged on 27th February 2022, after carrying out all the repairs, it was re leased on 29th July 2022. My claim for loss of rental was $6800.
My recommendation to your subscribers is to avoid using Woolworths/Everyday Insurance, they use another company - Hollard, to do their dirty work, so they can claim, not me sir. Almost a scam.
You save some, you lose much more. Like I have.

Terrible claims service – Having read the other reviews online i wish I had so before taking out my policy with everyday insurance. Every timeframe they set gets missed, promised contact does not happen and this is after 3 and a half months. An internal complaint achieved nothing. The only way some action happened was through an AFCA complaint. Now back to waiting for… Read more
additional action after the items denied or approved did not match up with what the assessors report or some items were not included at all. I would suggest avoiding this insurance at all costs!! After writing this initial review I surprisingly received an immediate update saying I would be contacted. 3 weeks later and am still waiting and over 4 months since the initial claim!
Not worth the aggravation, would give them zero stars – Insurance claim in since beginning august 2022, I have had to do all the chasing, they don't call or e-mail back, insurance claim finally approved for payment two weeks ago, still waiting, 5-7 working days apparently. Having to call again, again, again. Now its another problem......Don't waste your time with this company, they should not be… Read more

Awful landlords insurance – Property damage due to stormnin July, still not resolved. We have been served breach by tenants due to leaks through roof. I have spent hours trying to speak to woolworths, I was told they only have 1 email inbox for all claims across Australia! Perhaps this explains the bad service. Had the quote back and offer of payout, the work given is… Read more
just painting the damage to walls and replaces ceiling not to mend the actual leak! I have gone through the complaints and disputes with woolworths, had no reply within the given time frame so I have complained to AFCA. It's all been said on previous reviews – 25% premium increase and automatic renewal of policy, without express permission from customer. What a con. No doubt somewhere in the numerous pages of the original policy it mentions the auto renewal, though it hardly lives up to Woollies hoped for reputation. Show details

This is the worst landlord insurance that I have ever engaged with – I lodged a claim with Woolworth insurance in relation to my water tank. Due to the level of rain in Sydney in this year, the water tank was nearly fallen off its base due to soil erosion. Firstly I had to follow up with Woolworth for 1 month from March 22 for valuation process . Mid April a person visited for inspection and told me that a… Read more
engineer would visit in two weeks time which was at beginning of may to inspect and do assessment report. After numerous of emails, following ups, John Laing which is Woolwoth's contractor sent me a message that an engineer would visit on 5th July 2022, I communicated with my tenant to leave the gate open so they can visit, but no one turned up on that date. Later on in July, I did a complaints to Woolworth about this instance, a subcontractor of John Liang (Ben hasting) texted me to visit and did the inspection and assessment again for another round. They did not communicate with me exactly what they were doing but on 26th July, They removed the tank, cut the pipe, removed the concrete base and said to my tenant " phase 1 was done, now I had to wait for phase 2 - someone will bring the new concrete and reinstall the water tank"..
However, today 22th Aug, Woolworth called me and said engineering reports mentioned that the water talk falling off was not due to water erosion; they can not pay for my claim.. So, what I supposed to do with the mess that they left at the premise , the tank was removed and the pipe was cut off". Why the engineer did not turn up on time and did the assessment report properly on time so it could save lots of people's time, money ? why no one communicated to me exactly what is going on and what they did to my water tank?
The whole claim process from Woolworth, its subcontractors are horrible, unprofessional, ;lack of communication, unreliable.. waste my time and money
1 star company,.. never gone with them. They are cheap for a reason

DO NOT consider going with Woolworths Landlord Insurance EVER!! – Have been paying for landlord insurance for years, no issues, until we had to put a claim in. My biggest nightmare. I have even received emails stating that they will get back to me that day… Read more
or the following day, still nothing. They REFUSE to put us on the phone with the supervisor; at this stage I’m not sure if they even have one as they just flat out avoid having her on the phone. No escalation in claim after speaking with team seniors. This is beyond ridiculous. We know that we are 100% covered for our storm damage, yet they are trying to weasel their way out of their responsibilities. We suspect that the repair is a big one and hence they don’t want to cover. This company is no better than a scammers in my opinion. Staff are severely incompetent. I am shocked to the core on how they operate considering how big the company is. My advice, STAY AWAY and don’t even consider for a second about giving them your business.
UPDATE: claim has been partially approved and we are expected to fork out thousands of dollars for “maintenance work” (on top of the thousands we have paid in premium over the years) prior to them repairing their end. Total crap. Just seriously do not bother with this insurance company. Get away, and away as far as possible!

Contacted Woolworths Insurance Still NO outcome ?? – Ive just got off the phone to Woolworths Landlord Insurance Claims Dept. I asked if I could get an answer as to my malicious damages on my rental property which the claim has been in since 14th April and that Woolworths request for more photos were submitted by email on 14th June. Cheap & Nasty – Price is good but claims process is slow and due to that, we ended up losing a lot of money in lost rent. Also, due to the time it took to carry out the repairs, the property was vacant for so long and we ended up with someone stealing the copper pipes from our AC unit. After making a claim for that too, they decided that we no longer fit the… Read more

No Support - Take you money else where – TLDR; Save your time and go elsewhere. This is the worst experience I have ever had with an insurance company, they have an online claims portal, but despite telling them my claim wasn't there it was never fixed. Shocking service. Stay well clear – My claim for malicious damage and rent default by the tenant took 114 days to resolve, then to be told they only cover 70 days rent default. Avoid at all costs – As per woolworth spds published on 08/04/2020. For Landlord insurance no point to pay extra for rent default feature anymore. They just pay you for six weeks rent or $2500 which ever is less. I will not renew my insurance with them next year. Not recommending to anyone. Show details
There are no decent insurance companies – They're the only company I could find that would accept self managed properties. Which is good. But my policy is up for renewal 04/2020. But they are finding ways to void the rent defaults due to the crises or remove it from future policies so… Read more
they don't have to help when it counts most. They also increased my insurance by 30% to cover their losses for previous and future claims of other people. So they're not helping you, we are helping each other by spreading out the premiums while they pocket millions. They're typical money hungry leeches. They don't care about people, just profit. A person is just a means to make more money. What is the point in an insurance company if they won't be human and help people in one of the worst crises Australia may endure. This shouldn't be about profit, it should be about helping humanity. They may take massive hits, and have to suffer like the rest of the nation, but they could help millions, and they will recover. But to consider making a loss in any situation is just ludicrous thinking. Even if it means being decent and helping people.
