Exelpet Capstar For Cats and Small Dogs

Beware! Adverse reaction – I bought this for my 9 year old cat, who's just about 6.5 kg. Shortly after giving him the pill, he became very agitated and kept scratching his skin for hours. The next day, he was acting extremely weird - hiding in unusual places, poor coordination, extremely lethargic and would meow terribly like he was in pain. I had to take him to the vet and they took a blood test which will be analysed for toxins and diseases! It's past midnight now, and he's still lethargic and meows like he's in agony from time to time. I'm extremely worried as he's not acting like himself at all. It seems this is a fairly common issue, judging from the other reviews on this product. For the safery of your pet, please don't buy this dangerous product!

Fast Knockdown of Fleas – I have used this product many times on the cat and dog when flea control has not been kept up regularly. Best used 24 hours before applying another product like, say Advantix. I hide it in treats like fresh mince or cheese and feed the dog and cat near each other so the perceived competition for food makes them eat the treats faster. This means they don't keep it in their mouth long enough to taste it and spit it out. I cut the tablets into halves or quarters so they are easily hidden inside the morsels fed.

The fleas die very quickly after feeding on the animal. I love it. Better than a flea wash. Then AFTER 24 hours (when their body has cleared itself of the Capstar chemical) the longer term product can be used. Don't used both at the same time or the animal can become sick as it is too much for their system. Capstar is not a product I'd used all the time but it is very effective at giving an almost instant kill for infestations. Fast, easy and reliable effect for infestations. Maybe the flavour which is why it is cut up and hidden in treats or favourite foods. A bit expensive but worth it. I'd be very wary of using it regularly.

Would NOT recommend – Gave my cat capstar and 45 mins later she was convulsing, vomiting and running around like she was going crazy. After 2 hrs she calmed down but was quite weak and lethargic. Not worth the distress for your pet. Definitely don't recommend this product. Show details

Worked very fast and brutal to fleas – I gave my 5-year-old cat a tablet and decided after 10 min just to check on internet the signs to look for that it was working. I picked him up and out side i brushed him, though he was not happy my brushing him, he normally loves it, his behaviour started to calm down after a hour and he was back to normal 2 hours after pill and flea freee

Gets the job done – After using this product on my cat which was a simple process she seemed to have improved. I did not notice any side effects aside from using it on her.

It's not a flea preventative people – It does the job it kills fleas doesn't prevent them some people seem to be confused by that It's not going to prevent fleas it kills the current fleas until you can get proper flea prevention tablet My cats used it they were fine the fleas died it did the job till I could get my revolution

attack. I have settled her down and her heart seems to have settled only a little. I believe this product is dangerous to animals. How they can say it’s ok for kittens when my cat is five and reacting like this is ridiculous. I am throwing my unused tablets out and will never purchase this item again. The worst I've ever used – Does not work at all my cat has more fleas then it ever has didn't even kill any, will never use again. I promote advocate flea and worm control works amazing only brought this one to give it a try and was extremely disappointing. Trying to get my money back but no such luck.

She has survived but may have brain damage. I will get it pulled from the shelves. I went through an absolute nightmare seeing her close to death. She still can’t walk properly

Working long tern – This product is only effective for a few hours after your pet takes the tablet. You must give another tablet no more than two weeks after the previous tablet for it to be effective in the long term.

Brilliant product for cats and dogs! – Starts working within 5 - 10 minutes. I've used it for MANY years now (17 or 18?) on cats AND dogs! * Hint; cost wise; I buy large dog size and cut into 1/4 for our cats - theoretically a slightly higher dose if you are exact, but never any side effects.

Excellent – Does exactly what it is supposed to do when used correctly. It is not designed to kill larvae or eggs nor does it prevent reinfestation. It simply kills all the adult fleas currently on the animal and it starts to work within 30 minutes. It induces hyperactivity in the fleas causing the animal to scratch and/or lick but this settles down within an hour or so as the fleas start to die and drop off.

Waste Of Money!!! – What an absolute waste of my money. Not impressed at all. DOESN'T WORK!!! Please don't waste your money on buying this product!!! I will not be recommending it.

Worked Quickly – This product worked super fast. Within 20 minutes the two cats had fleas coming to the surface of their fur and dying. Yes, they did get really itchy at the same time but that is a side effect. Two hours later they have settled down, stopped scratching and they do not have one flea left.

waste of money – Bought the flea tablet for small dogs and cats. Dog still scratching think it has actually helped fleas hatch. Worse than before treatment covered in tiny fleas. Not impressed will never use or recommend exelpet for any of my 9 pets.

Worked well – I used capstar for first time on 7yr old ragdoll cat as I had missed flea preventative treatment so she ended up with some fleas from the courtyard. Adult fleas were gone within 24 hours and she didn't have any adverse reaction. fleas, you will still need to give your pet pet flea preventative treatment, capstar is really only for when you've missed or forgotten to give the regular preventative treatment.

Poison 4 sure – We used this product on our 10-week-old Maltese it caused her to have a seizer. She had to go to the after hours vet and was lucky to survive. I would not recommend any body to use it at all. It may be more expensive but it is crap. Avoid it!!!

Love it – my vet said its ok animal welfare league said its rubbish i think they want money from public i used it on a kitten and an old cat and they were fine hard to give

pathetic – This product is USELESS! i put this product on a small toy poodle, week later STILL has fleas & this useless product says "kills in half hour" CRAP! Very dear product for useless results!! Dont use it, dont waste your money!!

Warning Cat couldn't walk again ! Don't use any exelpet products ever! – Poison the cat couldn't walk the day after and has not walked again caused him to have a stroke or a seizure rotten company will. Worst product, would like someone to call me – I gave my small dog the flea tablets, he got no relief at all, in fact itching got worse. I have used product before but the quality of the tablet and its effectiveness is very poor at best. Not happy at all.

Haven't seen full effect yet but great so far – We recently moved into a new house which was riddled with fleas therefore riddled my cat with them. My local vet stopped selling my usual flea tablet so I purchased this just to see if it would work. Went out about an hour later to find a pile of dead fleas all over the dining table where she had been sleeping. Not sure how well it will kill the rest of the fleas she has but so far has been great

Ineffective – There is no weight nor age per ratio, also no time limit stated. My cats scratched madly,within half an hour.The next morning adult fleas were still present,and not even encumbered by the expensive tablets I purchased. #Refund

cat sick – Gave to my cat within 10 mins running around the house & panting. The next day unable to walk, stand or eat. Appears he won't make it thru the night. DO NOT USE it can kill your much loved pet! Devasted watching my cat die because of this product

Allergic reaction! – Gave a Flea Knockdown tablet to my cat in the morning. 15 minutes later she started running around the house, licking herself, got too agitated and panting like a dog! Will never use it again.

Life cycle of fleas will be interrupted with this product, just need to monitor then reapply.

Remember, you are not applying Spot On, Frontline, Advocat.... to kill adult fleas.

exelpet is better than advantage and frontline – we found exelpet capstar to be far superior to dearer veterinary and pharmacy products. They are around $84 here. Could not believe the difference in effiency.Cats did not appear to get upset when it was administered. Company should be shut down – I have 2 kittens they are older than 3 months. They have fleas and I got this powder to fix the problem but one of them affected started salivating but wasn't too bad. I washed the kitten just with warm water now looks okay no more salivating. I hope it is not going to bleed inside Not really safe to use
