Fagor 6H-875ATCX

Full of nice surprises – We choose a Fagor 6H-875ATCX because of its steam cooking function - no other reason. But there is much, much more to it than steaming. Think of any type of dish and the chances are that Fagor has worked out a way to cook it well, by which I mean they have found a way to automatically apply the right amount of heat in the right way to achieve a perfect or near perfect outcome.

We needed some help to master the controls because the little instruction booklet is packed with lots of information and you need to know how to tailor things to your own taste too. (Thanks for your help, Chris). The first cake tasted superb as did the first Cajun-style chicken, which took less than ten minutes to cook. Lots of tempting recipes are demonstrated at the website (which help learn how to get the best out of this oven) and, as time goes by, I expect to be pleasantly surprised many times over, because this oven cooks quickly and evenly, and it retains moisture.

Being pyrolytic, it's easy to clean.

As part of a package, the Fagor was great value and with a five-burner cook-top and range-hood above it, the whole lot looks first class. Fagor's after-market support in Victoria is fantastic too - a minor hiccough at installation was very quickly and professionally resolved. Sophisticated looks and 'programming' drive this oven to achieve consistently good results Need to read the manual to get the best out of it (but worth it)
