Fantastic Furniture are rubbish – Would give zero stars if possible. Purchased initially from the Campbelltown store. 1. Initially purchased the lounge with the chaise until the chaise section failed. Back section was coming away and was unable to be sat in. After numerous back and forth emails and ongoing need to keep proving our purchase, they agreed to replace the chaise with the “new and improved recliner section”.

2. Went well for 6 months then began to deteriorate. Padding disappeared completely in the recliner seat. Timber bar of recliner broke in half. Lounge clips would not stay joined together and it kept separating from each other. Requested replacement under warranty, received nothing but grief from the Sales Reps and Managment. They finally agreed to a replacement recliner section only. Mind you, that’s all we were asking for.

3. After finally agreeing to replace the faulty part, it arrived a different shade of colour and material pattern from the rest. More phone calls and emails showing the complete difference in colour and material. It stood out like it was off a different modular altogether. We finally had the whole couch replaced to match in together. This is while the sales people were acting as though they were paying for the replacement out of their own pocket, making us feel like we had somehow inconvenienced them.

4. Within another 6 months, the same troubles began. Padding disappearing, springs began coming through, recliner timber bent and feel like it’s about to snap. The clips that hold the couch together just refuse to stay connected. Everytime we sit on it, we need to rejoin the clips. It has come apart and fallen back into our walls, damaging them quite badly. We’ve just now moved the couch to do some cleaning and have found it had left massive black grease marks where the rails sit, all over our white carpet.

Rang the store to ask what our options are, only to be completely dismissed and told to send an email. Of course. Who wants to be helpful on a Sunday afternoon at 4pm I guess. Silly us for thinking we would get some assistance or guidance on what exactly to do.

Here we go again. Another waste of my time and effort conte ting this store for remediation on a very expensive couch.

Please save your money and time and DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. We have had nothing but trouble with it. It’s a shame as when it’s together and brand new, it looks very nice. It fails so fast and then it’s a massive battle to try and get anyone to help under what are very clear warranty terms and conditions.
