Felco 2 Original Secateurs

These are really good quality and I have used them many times.

Still have the original pair after 46 years, "cheaper to buy expensive"! – In about 1977, wife and I went to a hardware store to buy secateurs. The old guy behind the counter said, "get these. They last forever and you can get spare parts! - cheaper in the long run." We took his advice, never regretted it. They have had heavy use from time to time over the decades. Current price is about $100. We bought a $10 Chinese knock-off for volunteer use in an area where they could easily be lost. The cheapies hardly survived the first week. I sharpened the cheapies to better than factory sharp (wasn't hard!) but still return to the original Felcos. I have sharpened them every year or so for most of their 46 years, and they still cut, operate beautifully, original blades, I may have replaced the spring (lost, not worn). Worth the additional expenditure - cheaper in the long run.
