DO NOT PURCHASE! After 6 months minimal use it would not switch on. F&P claim they will not repair under warranty as there is no 4mm gap above the drawer beneath - despite plenty of air flow inside the joinery below. Both our electrician and joiner have not heard of this requirement. F&P’s own Technician said they are seeing a lot of this and… Read more

company making a stand as it’s costing them a lot of money. Charging $1200 to repair - despite not knowing the actual issue. Inferior product so we will replace with a different local brand with better customer care. F&P were bought out a few years ago - not the company they used to be.

Worst cooktop – Very disappointed with the cooktop and the customer service as well. Faulty display can't cook anything and wouldn't get any appointment from technician to come have a look. Only appointment I got is 20 days from now. Show details

Very disappointed – We put this cooktop into our new home which we moved into 18 months ago. We were looking forward to cooking with it, disposed all our Esteele cookware and purchased all new pots pans etc (good quality ones) We are so disappointed and will be replacing it with gas as soon as we can afford it. The hot plates provide very uneven heat, so frying and… Read more

using a wok and getting a good result is difficult. The safety features, if you use a hot plate and then turn it off, you can't use it again for ages...At least 15 minutes....are very annoying if you need the same plate for a different pan. To be fair we have juggled around this.

We cook a lot and love it. These units look great and are easy to clean and I am sure would be fine for people who rarely cook. Not us

5 Zone Induction Cooktop, spacious – Upgraded to a 90cm wide induction cooktop and love the extra space on it, no more shuffling pans to get them to fit. The touch slide controls are easy to use and the timer for each element is also handy. It has very good temperature control (from low heat to high heat). I Haven't used the zone bridging (no suitable pan) but the big double burner… Read more

zone is really good. The keep warm function is also really handy. It is easy to clean.

On the down side is that if it breaks down after 6 months (like mine just did) accept to have to wait 3 weeks !! for a service person to come (and hopefully not say that they then have to order parts and wait a few more weeks). This is really not acceptable from a big company like F&P and it's such an important appliance in your kitchen.

Excellent Cooktop – This cooktop was already in the house I bought in 2014 so it is now 5 years old. It is well designed, has a good combination of different sized burners and has been trouble free. This is the 3rd induction cooktop I have had over the past 20 years and induction is the best form of stove top cooking in my opinion. It does take a while to get used… Read more

to and the amount of heat required does vary considerably depending on the quality of the cookware you use. If burn marks appear on the cookware then the pan has been overheated. A good quality pan only needs a setting of 5-6.

Customer service pathetic no reply after 3 weeks – Bought all Fisher Paykel appliances for new kitchen. After just cooking for 2 times found burnt mark inside cooktop sent pictures last month in March still waiting to hear back from them in mid April. Also bought 2 ovens one came with missing parts same thing after several phone calls got some parts but still not all of them.  Show details

Great when it worked! – I purchased this cooktop after a good choice review, it's great to cook with and cooks very fast. But after only 2 months 2 of the 5 burners stopped working and after waiting a month for repair (2 visits for a technician) the cooktop has stopped working completely. Now I'm currently waiting for a replacement, which Fisher and Paykel are not sure when it'll arrive.  Show details

The buzzing is driving me batty – We did so much research on this. It had a good review in Choice. We went to two friend's homes and cooked/listened to any potential buzzing noises - none (different brands than Fisher & Paykel). Then we had ours installed and it's "on/off" constant buzzing when it's on low to mid heat -- buzz buzz buzz. We called Harvey Norman to see what our… Read more

options were for replacement as we were told this is normal for this brand just now over the phone - even though we ASKED specifically about this prior to purchasing. Right now we have a service call for Friday just to make sure nothing is wrong....but this is not looking good for us!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! 2 faults within 2 months and no one will help us!!! – Since installing this cooktop we encountered a major fault within the first month of use. It took Fisher & Paykel over 3 weeks to resolve with very poor communication. We were constantly given the run around. We had to continually follow up only to be told they didn't know about our problem. Staff weren't logging our calls properly and we received… Read more

disgraceful customer service, all the while not having use of our cooktop. We were originally told we'd get a new unit as it was a major fault however they chose to make us wait for the part to replace it. It took the service guy a couple of hours to repair. We've had another month of use and the same problem happened again!!!!! We have children and once again can't even cook dinner with a cooktop. Absolutely outraged, no manager will call us back and deal with us. They just evade our calls and tell us they'll call back and hope we'll go away. Quite disgusted, let down and completely inconvenienced. After spending top dollar on apparently a top of the range product, this is certainly not how we expected to be treated and we definitely didn't expect faults within the first couple of months. Will never purchase Fisher & Paykel again. We are currently trying to get our money back and want to buy something different entirely. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! If I could give it 0 stars I would.

BEST COOKTOP EVER – I love the cooktop it's the best money spent it does need a higher voltage power source ( install as per instructions....l needed to upgrade my power source) and mine cooks and boils much much quicker than gas highly recommend in fact l am building again and have installed the same. Fisher & Paykel CI905DTB1 – I bought new when I was renovating my kitchen and soon after 2 elements on the hot plate didn't work, technician from Fisher & Paykel couldn't fix it so they replaced with the new one but that one was working only few days and all stoped working. I do not recomend this product to anybody. I went through lot of stress waiting and replacing and for Christmas Eve I've stayed without cook top.

Stay away from it – We bought this Fisher and Paykel induction cooktop as we were renovating. We used it for the first time 7th April and it was very slow. We used it again a few days later and again all the plates were very slow. The third time we used it it did not work. All under one week. Fisher and Paykel refused to give me a new one instead preferred… Read more

to fix this one. The shop I bought it from though gave me a new one and this one is not any better. Testing all hot plates to boil two cups of water the quickest one was 4 minutes 55 seconds and the longest was over 10 minutes.

I am taking this one back and getting a different brand.

It didn't work and was very slow
