My question: Is it normal that our Fisher Paykel double oven purchased one year ago makes a terrible noise from the moment it is started until it cools down?
Otherwise it is a fine product that works well, but the noise is very unpleasant. Does it come from the fan and is it possible to fix this problem?

Not normal no, must be dodgy fan. Take back asap
I had the same problem with my F&P self cleaning wall oven, turns out the fan unit was faulty and needed to be replaced. Glad you're happy with your oven other than the noise, mine turns out awful results on baking and roasting and I'd never buy F & P again.
