Ford Transit Questions & Answers
VerifiedPurchased a 03 / 2019 Ford Transit Cab Chasis. Trying to obtain a Bull Bar but told they are only available for vehicles Manufactured after 05 / 2019. Does anyone know if there is a make available to suit?
Hi from Brisbane I bought a 2011 2.4 turbo diesel 6 metre ex rental motorhome at 104 k (Kea stopped renting these) and 6 years later have 245k, generally with few problems (although Ford dealers are NOT good with any question so far) Now a real problem, on last 3k trip down south. 1 Engine failed to start (not even a click but no dip on dash lights) but started a few tries later 2 Another time (often) engine runs on even up to a minute after turned off 3 ABS warning 'squiggle' comes on sometime after driving 4 'Gearbox' general alarm sometimes on later on the trip 5 No cruise control or hill assist generally usable 6 FINALLY brakes lock on leaving home, had to get RACQ to reset code release brakes. Not driven since Only fault codes UO 121 (ABS com lost) and UO140 (BCM coms lost) Any clues, have found some test ideas in Web, mainly to test for missing end of line resistor. who knows where the cts temp sensor is located on a 2.4ltdc/ 140hp engine???????(h9fb engine) the rumor( ford) is ,its somewhere near the gearboxend of the engine.
Hello my 2010 Transit Jumbo is experiencing a sudden sharp rise on temperature gauge climbing hills and goes into limp mode once peaking in the red. Then falls as quick as it rises when you back the pedal/power off.
i have a similar problem in that most of the times temp readings ok= sensor reads ok. then occasionaly temp reads lolo= esensor o/c. then some times temp reads hihi= sensor shortrd and car goes into limp mode. here my question: does anybody know where the coolant temp sensor ( cts) is located. pls advise
Hi All. I have a 2011 VM Transit bus with the TD 2.4L H9FB Euro 4 DOHC engine. In every gear, when it gets to 2000 revs, it has a very bad hesitation. If you stay at 2000 revs it is quite noticeable, but if you put your foot down, it just goes past 2000 revs and there is no noticeable hesitation. I have put fuel cleaners and DPF cleaners in the fuel to no avail. It does feel like it is electrical, like if it was a petrol engine, the coil or plugs breaking down at those revs. Does it whether loaded up or unloaded. Has anyone got any ideas?
2014 Ford transit , VO , 350L. Lwb, high roof. Can I change the dual front passenger seats for a single so I can "walk thru" into the cargo area from the driver's seat.
Hi I have a Ford Transit late 2019 VO LWB. Have just had to replace the injectors after just 65000k. My local mechanic performed the job but using his latest and greatest 'Snap On' coding tool can not find Ford Transit to be able to code the new injectors. He has all the other Fords at his fingertips but no Transit. My question is..... Do I need to code them in this model ? I have rang Ford dealerships and they won't disclose any information until i book it in with a ford dealer which is booked out 2 months ahead. Thanks Johno
My Ford transit has been sitting at Eln Ford for Twelve months as it blew a second motor at 85,000 km th first one just stopped at 165 ,00 km not to mention my gearbox $7,500 had problems 2 months before that as well as wiper linkages failed and water bottle cracked there is so many things that went wrong with it I’m still paying for it and I haven’t been able to use it’s a 2018 model nothing but trouble so either the mechanics that worked were incompetent all the van was a lemon not happy with the way I’ve been treated

Hi - we have a 2005 Ford Transit Bus with Diesel engine( now a camper) but we have found in the last week that it has lost power in lower gears - very slow to wind up and then goes alright until you hit a hill when it really slows down and struggles till we get to the top.. I am not sure if it is the turbo or flow meter? Any help appreciated as we are far from home and it is tricky. Thanks
It’s the turbo I have one of those vans

What is the difference between a fa and a vm chassis?
to be honest I do not know ! my experience is with the new Transit custom long wheel base, great looking, goes well, the drivers seat did not suit me to the point with 500kms on the clock I traded it back to Ford, not a cheap experience !!
