On to second replacement and it has now seized. No replacement. Look elsewhere – We purchased tap in 2009 and it was a nice tap. Then it seized up in 2011 and was replaced by Franke. No mention was made that it was the pressure that caused this and that a pressure limiter should be used. Its happened again in 2016, where it won't swivel and it so it works the bolts securing the tap loose. Becomes rather useless annoying. … Read more

We spoke with Franke and they won't at this stage replace the tap as the original one was out of warranty. As well they say that it is our fault because no pressure regulator was installed which has caused this.

I asked about 'fitness for purpose' under Australian consumer law and what the guy from Franke on the phone to was wrong and illegal. We ended up arguing which went no where.

This tap has failed twice in 7 years and Franke don't care. Its my fault apparently! They just fall back on the terms of their warranty and hope people move on.

Even the cheapest mixers that we bought for a third of the cost of this Franke are still going strong! No damage caused by the pressure from the mains. What a load of crap.

The last Franke product I buy.

Franke Corniola - terrible. Deserves 0 stars – We have had the Frranke TA721 Corniola for 3 years. It was replaced after a year because the plastic receiver for the pull out spout cracked and the spout wouldn't swivel, and now the replacement won't swivel between sinks. It is completely frozen. Franke is not interested - so much for a "guarantee". The PRKS service people (Franke agent in… Read more

Australia) are worse than useless, blaming the "pressure".

This seems to be a design fault with the Corniola, and Franke's response is to ignore it.

DO NOT BUY FRANKE, the taps are very expensive, and the warranty is worthless.

Franke Tap – Pity I can't give it less than one star. Same problems as everyone else. Would not turn to cover both sinks and spray button is unreliable. Hardly used the pull out extension yet the hose inexplicably developed a major leak and flooded the cupboard and kitchen floor. I will never again buy any Franke product. Disgraceful product at an… Read more

exorbitant price.

Franke should be ashamed of themselves.

Have incurred additional cost and inconvenience.

Having a replacement tap installed today.

Not a Franke.

Franke…fail….don't fall for a FRANKE! – Our Franke TA 721 (cost > $550 in 2009) is having the same problem as others have mentioned here - won't turn from side to side and the sprayer won't pull out anymore. Having the same problems with the FRANKE staff - apathetic - trying to divert me and not honour the warranty agreement and not returning my emails. I have been following up for a… Read more

fortnight and still have not received an answer about whether they will assist. They really don't care…. I DID like it when it worked... It doesn't work!!!! Expensive. Franke not keen to honour their warranty.

Okay - update! Franke eventually sent me a new tap and paid for it to be installed!! Yay Franke! Thank you for that! Happy customer now!

FRANKE tap frankly useless! – The FRANKE TA 721 is a hopeless tap! I now have the THIRD one installed since the original which came with my new kitchen in April 2011. Every one of them has failed. Turning from side to side eventually wears out the ring between the FRANKE TA 721 tap and the OLIVERI sink. The pull-out mechanism is stiff and often gets stuck and will not… Read more

retreat. The special hose (at additonal cost) which was supposed to eliminate this part fo the problem has done nothing but cost us an extra $100.00+ The agents are not in the slightest bit interested in this. DO NOT buy FRANKE!!! Nothing much. See above: turning side to side; pull-out mechanism; pressure; spray etc etc

I agree!! These are EXACTLY the same problems I am having with my tap, and FRANKE don't give a flying fig about it!!

Nice, but can't change spray setting – This is a nice, solid sink mixer with pull out spray that works fine (so far) But it has one big problem - the spray doesn't change based on the spray setting, so you have to press it every time to get a shower spray. This may be a big problem in the future as it may mean that the rubber 'button' for the spray setting may not last. Simple, solid and pulls out easily Can't keep spray setting

Warranty repairs hopeless – I like the actual tap, although ours has not lasted two years before it required replacement. What disappointed me the most after spending so much on the tap (and let's face it, it is a lot of money for a tap!), was the apathetic nature of the warranty/repair Franke staff member. Emails are ignored, you have to follow up, and quite honestly he… Read more

couldn't care less whether you had to wait two weeks for a replacement tap. There is no communication at all as to the status of your warranty claim.

Franke, you need to remember that there are real customers at the end of the phone who bought your product for a reason, and who do not want to wait 2 weeks for a replacement kitchen tap.

Give Dyson a call, they may teach you some things about customer service!!

Disappointed.

Tap broke within 2 years of install. Dreadful warranty service. Terrible Franke respresentative. Apathetic

Totally agree - same tap, same problem and Franke don't want to know me!!! FAIL for FRANKE!!

For the money you can do much better – This tap is a nightmare to use. The hose is difficult to remove from the housing without the hose catching in the housing. The selector between spray and flow is dodgy, it never stays on the selected output. The stream is often mixed rather than one or the other. The RRP of mid $400 is ludicrous for such a poorly designed and the product seems to be completely unsupported by the manufacturer.

Beware of the cost of parts – Prospective purchasers should be aware that the rubber diaphragm on the top of the faucet which directs the water flow between stream and shower does not last, is not covered by warranty and can only be purchased with a complete new end assembly at a cost of AU$115.50 + AU$15.00 delivery fee. Apart from being exorbitantly expensive, manufacturers… Read more
