There's a reason it's been discontinued – We are renting an apartment with a 'brand new' (obviously discontinued) Franke dishwasher. It takes 3 hours plus another 20 for 'extra drying'. Dishes have food still stuck to them, they don't smell clean, and there's water everywhere. The Franke technician says it works properly. Lol. Avoid at all costs, what a pile of junk. Run a mile if you see this in an apartment, the builder has obviously done the cheapest fit out possible. Show details

Terrible – I went into the shop to purchase a bosch dishwasher but somehow was talked into buying a Frankie. From word go it never washed properly and as per other reviews it did not dissolve the tablets! I phoned them to be told i was the only one who had problems and i must be using it incorrectly - I should always use it on a heavy duty wash. I did this… Read more

and still not a good wash. After some years it began to rust and then eventually died. YAH the best thing that happened to me! I now have a Bosch and it is a dream in comparison and cost less. How these crooks get away with selling rubbish like this with no accountability is a disgrace.

Sad to see it go after nine years of great service – We had no problems with our Franke TR60 ISX in nine years after which it developed an electrical problem so we stopped using it. We also thought we had a problem early on, but it was just that we hadn't work out that program button were out for on. We rang customer service and got a friendly and helpful solution immediately. No leaks, cleans great… Read more

(though I am a rinser because I don't get washing dishes in diluted food waste and don't want all that muck in my pipes either). Gentle on my dishes and racks make sense so that everything gets clean and dry. Racks designed well for stacking tons of stuff in. Fold down racks handy for big items and all sorts of items I dishwash. Able to do a half load - one shelf only. Looked great externally to it's last day. The wheels came off the roll out racks if they weren't pulled out straight, but they were easily put back on and never needed replacing.

Franke dishwasher – Worked for 2 years at a cost of $1400, Timer switch went and waited 8 months for the part. Part arrived and failed, new part came and replaced but repair company wanted to charge us for second switch after paying $600 for the first switch. 4 months later no water coming in to the machine so went to buy new dishwasher saying no to European ones… Read more

but came home with a Bosch made in Germany. I have worked out what the repairs and dishwasher worked out weekly $22.50 for one load a day as there is only 2 of us. I have a photo of Franke on the trailer going where it should be to the dump.

Bosch cleans dishes and quiet and am wondering why we waited 3 years to get rid of the bloody thing.

Bad service as waiting 8 months for parts, doesn't clean dishes (found out after first load with Bosch)

Not good enough average – The hinges on both sides of the door needed replacing, parts very expensive, $200 for trades person to repair, now the dishwasher leaks, I am not going to spend any more money it is not worth it, I think if any appliance is more than 5 years old and it needs fixing, get a new one. This Franke dishwasher is ok, but I would not buy Franke again. … Read more

I have had Asko, Westinghouse, both problem free, Bosch do not make under bench stainless steel that are easy care finger mark free, however I believe top machine. The Franke is only 6 years old, which I feel is really not good enough, the Asko, still was going strong after 10 years, (we sold house), and Westinghouse also over 10 years was going strong, (new kitchen). Looks good, easy clean stainless steel. Noisy, have to throw tablet in as it always sticks.

Good – We have been very happy with it. We did have a slight problem early on, can't remember what it was, and someone came out with 24 hours! Fixed it, and we have had no problems since. It may leak once in a while, but only if the seal has gotten grubby and is fine once the seal has been wiped. It does a good job, still going strong after 5 and a half years. The cutlery rack tips easily. Show 2 replies

Terrible – Brought house with all Franke appliances the dishwasher is just terrible, doesn't clean, powder doesn't disolve can't use tables still whole at the end of a cycle. It always smells and the dishes are never clean I end up taking them out of the machine and washing them by hand. Even dishwasher cleaner doesn't work the wax doesn't disolve after the hottest wash.

Terrible – Don't buy Franke. Too hard to get parts and no-one can seem to fix ours. Buy something made in Australia. Excellent product for about 6 months then... Stopped working just after warranty ran out. 6 months later still waiting to be fixed. Not acceptable Franke!

Terrible – difficulty getting service people to come back with an effective solution. We use it for drying dishes as can't be used for rinsing, leaving detergent on. I'm happy to give this one away if any body wants to experiment. This dishwasher has been hardly used chosen and installed by the builder. Yours for free, Brisbane. romankol@tpg.com.au Has never worked correctly leaving detergent on and dirty glasses and dishes.
