Gainsborough Down Alternative Quilt

Poor Quality – Well I'm very very un happy with this doona. The fluff that comes of it is everywhere my doona covers my sheets my pyjamas my undies an in my lungs. Bought the doona late 2019 stay away from this DOONA definitely a wast of my money and the time to get the fluff out of my home. Gainsborough thanks for fluff! Show details

Nice quilt but it sheds very fine plastic fibres – I loved the Gainsborough Down Alternative Quilt as soon as i opened it. It's generous in size and super cozy. But it sheds micro plastoc fibres! This is a very bad thing. Micro plastics are not good to breathe in, and then when I've washed my quilt covers I've had micro fibres over all of the items washed with that quilt cover. I'm seeking a refund. Not impressed. Show details

Very very very disappointing – I purchased two Gainsborough King 80/20 down feather quilts thinking they would be of the same beautiful fluffy warm quality as those i already have in doubles yet Elysian brands. Dreadful – Fluff everywhere. Usually have confidence with Gainsborough products. Don’t buy this. Fluff on everything- floor, washing machine, bottom sheets and inside doona covers. Need to get something different. Only bought for last 2 winters. Not happy.

Do not buy this product! – I purchased 3 of these quilts and my doona covers are covered in fluff that does not come off in the wash or airing them. I contacted Gainsborough and they just said that I can take them back to where purchased and didn't even apologise. Not happy at all! This is now the second type of Gainsborough product I have to take back for inferior quality. Won't be buying their products again!!!  Show details

FLUFF EXPELLING QUILT - DO NOT BUY – Purchased this quilt approximately 18 mths/2 years ago. Started noticing bits of fluff on quilt cover and sheets when removing them to wash. Fluff has steadily gotten worse over this time period and it comes from the actual quilt. This quilt has not been washed, but only aired from time to time. know that they have a dodgy product (still on market June 2018) and asked if they could/would do anything for me.

They have advised that because it is out of the 6-12 month 'warranty' period and I therefore have no consumer protection they are so sorry but cannot help me.

I expect my quilt to not expel fluff in the first place and I also expect my quilt to last a bit longer than 12 months.

Bottom line - DO NOT BUY THIS QUILT.
