2 Alex  · New formula only lasts 4 weeks and my hair starts going orange. This never happened with original formula Will not be using this product again
1 Neringa K.  · Not happy. Colour doesn't stay at all. After 1/2 weeks it fades away like never ever had dye on my hair...
5 Leanne Page  · Better than expected – Color has only slight pink, more a strawberry blond/copper. I love it
5 Jo K.  · Great for sensitive scalp – I recommend this product, I am very happy with my result.
1 Krys  · Didn't work – This product didn't cover the grey it was also extremely oily after. Needed to wash my hair the next day as it was that bad
1 Emma  · Rubbish – Did not make My hair colour any different and certainly did not cover the roots. Very disappointed!

  6.0 - Light Brown

Used on virgin shoulder length hair that is naturally light ash brown with some grey around the temples and scattered throughout. I chose this hair dye due to Garnier stating 6.0 to be a natural light brown (not warm tones) and had read reviews that it has good grey coverage and minimal damage to hair (although very hard to know which were… Read more

relevant as annoyingly on other sites the reviews do not specify which colour was used). I found this dye easy to use however that is the ONLY positive. Colour is flat, slightly orangey in the light and worst of all the greys at my temples and still there. Very disappointing experience with this home dye, on the plus side according to some reviews the colour washes out quickly. I used to use Castings Creme Gloss and found that very good, but since grey hair has started showing am skeptical that will cover them, but it can't be worse than this so will give that a go in a few weeks.

Doesn't match the colour on the box at all. My dark blonde hair needed the roots touched up. Now all my hair is a warm mid to dark brown. They must've messed up the dye because this doesn't even resemble blonde whatsoever. It is awful! Do not buy this if you want blonde hair. Show details

Very disappointing. Hair was so dark after colouring and following instructions to the letter. Then, ironically, after 2 weeks it started to fade; 4 weeks later, hair back to the colour it was before I used this product and it's not cheap. I wash my hair twice a week so it's not because of too much washing. Will not buy again. Show details

Permanent Colour & Shine! – I have naturally dark brown hair and being 37, quite a few greys! I used this on my lightened hair and it was fantastic. It gave the more beautiful deep dark down shade better than my natural shade and my hair was SO shiny afterwards, best hair dye ever! Show details

Hair breaking and hair loss – I used this on my hair because I am starting to gray/white and wanted to try to hide it. I have not used a hair dye or bleach in over 20 years so my hair is healthy and free of previous processing. I got scared 10 minutes in and decided to rinse it out. During the initial rinse my hair started breaking mid hair shaft and clumps were falling onto… Read more

Greasy hair – First time using the 'new' 112 Superlightbeige with 60%oil (natural origin flower seed oil).. Pros: easy to follow instructions, easy mix,no ammonia, easy to apply(no dripping),perfect colour for me (result not as box but you have to be realistic about end result if it's not used on 'virgin hair' which is naturally blonde) Quick developing time.… Read more

Cons: One massive issue after rinsing the dye out (seasoned hair dyer so I know the process) hair was GREASY..I'm talking smother your hair in cooking oil greasy..now the grease is not immediately evident prior to using the after colour care or after rinsing this out..the magic greasy mop (that used to be my hair) only appears when trying to blowdry (on a low setting, don't go frazzling those beautiful locks )..my hair just wasn't drying and looked/felt like I hadn't washed it for weeks. Only way this was rectified was with a clarifying shampoo and my usual conditioner..blowdry part 2 and now my hair is back to normal. Negative :Overall the 'new' formula doesn't work for me...wouldn't purchase this again. Positive:Love the colour..will look for same/similar shade different brand.

Pleasantly surprised – My roots are naturally dark blonde /light brown. I've been bleaching my hair for years. I've had a pixie cut for a few months and the brown to blonde looked awful. I bought this dye a couple of months ago on sale. After seeing a photo of how bad my hair looked I was like OOKKAY. IT IS TIME. Firstly, I loved how the kit was prepared. So easy to mix… Read more

the dye. Secondly, the smell was great! For the first time a relatively cheap dye didn't wreak of chemicals or make my eyes burn. Thirdly, it was easy to apply, spread and it felt like an oily treatment whilst processing.

Lastly and most importantly, the colour is beautiful! It is the closest to a natural dark blonde I've found. It's so shiny and multifaceted. I look like I have my natural hair colour and it's lovely and soft.

In conclusion, a super easy to use, pleasant smelling dye that is fool proof. Natural results and my hair isn't fried. I will note that there is a slight residue on my hair, like a film. But it's no biggie. I obviously can't comment on longevity as I used this tonight, but I felt obliged to write a review as so far this is my favorite dark blonde dye. (I've used some pretty expensive salon ones too).

Love this hair dye – I have light blond hair going very grey ,I'm 48. My skin tone is fair and I was a bit worried about trying this dye after reading other mixed reviews and not dying my hair for many years. I'm so glad I did as I went to work and everyone said wow what an amazing colour!!.It didn't have the horrid amonia smell and the colour doesn't wash out much on… Read more

me. There was a nice biggest tube of conditioning creme too. If my roots didn't grow I would leave it 2 months between dyes, but I have to do it every month. I love this red its a gorgeous colour for sure. The black gloves are really good. The amount of product is very generous I think. I have fine to medium shoulder length hair and used two packets,I struggled to use it all up the first time I did it as There was so much. The second time I just used it I used 1 packet which was quite enough. I'd love to know if it completely washes out?, But I don't want all the root regrowth. I'm glad I tried it,it covered all my greys easily and I have lots and stayed in without fading at all. I was my hair every 2- 3 days. It didn't run and there was no mess in my bathroom. It makes my hair look beautiful with body and shine afterwards. A++++++++

Wanted to go darker so chose a nice brown. Covered my grey hair really well and loved the conditioner. My hairs a bit dry so this may be why I loved it, have seen other people had issues. I would definitely buy this again. Show details

Awesome deep black hair dye – Love this permanent black hair dye! Deep Black 1.0. I have long hair and one box is enough for me but would depend on how long/thick your hair is and in that case two boxes might be better for you. Covers greys extremely well. Great product. Highly recommend! Show details

Excellent product discontinued – Have been using this colour for years. I have brown coloured hair and the deep purple on it looks beautiful. I received many comments about the colour. I wash my hair twice a week and recolour every 4weeks. As this brand is the only one I can use, as others burn my scalp. Its gentle on my scalp and no side affects. I am sssooooo disappointed… Read more

that such a beautiful colour is discontinued and the other boring colours are still on the shelves. I can't understand why its gone as where I live I always had trouble getting it as the demand for it was there. Please bring this beautiful colour back. This is not a fake review. Its genuine

Bad product – Garnier Olia became very bad. I used it for many years and it was OK, but now it is almost impossible to rinse off, both - the colorant and the conditioner. There is so much oil!!! Why Garnier done this to a perfect product - just to spoil it? I gave a last try to it today, thinking, that just bought Olia is different, but it is even worse! I… Read more

They’ve changed the conditioner! – Have used this product (my go-to) for years and years every month with no problem - but over the last year or so they must have changed the formulation of the conditioner - it’s AWFUL - no matter how little I use or how much I rinse, it immediately leaves my hair lank and slimy, and this greasy residue stays till the next shampoo. last year or so wondering if it’s just my imagination, or am I being careless and using too much conditioner, or not rinsing properly but nah - it was always easy, quick and foolproof to colour, rinse and condition and it definitely isn’t a pleasant experience now. On the lookout now for an alternative brand - why pay so much to immediately throw half of the kit in the bin and replace with one of my own conditioners after colouring??

It worked, for covering grey hair – Had some grey hair, bought this for self dyeing hair, and it worked. The time when I wrote this review was about two weeks later of the dyeing, and the colour was still there, didn't seem fading yet.

Olia hair dye by garnier – I have used Olia for many years and it was ok. Since the pandemic I find it terrible. I have used dark brown (4) and because it became like black (after the pandemic. It seems they've changed the ingredients)I changed to number 5. Anyway, after two weeks the hair gets terribly dicolour with one and the other, looking almost as if bleached. I won't use it again and cannot recommend. Very bad quality.

Decent color, too much hassle – While I was initially skeptical of the 'oil' aspect, I decided to give this hair dye a try due to the unavailability of my usual Revlon product. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the results. The dye's liquid consistency made application messy, staining my clothes and the sink. Rinsing it out took longer than usual, and even after using the… Read more

after-color care product, my hair felt waxy and greasy AND NOT SHINY AT ALL. The color itself was decent, but it wasn't worth the hassle. Wont't buy it again for sure!

If you're looking for a hair dye that's easy to apply and doesn't leave your hair feeling waxy or greasy, I would def recommend trying a different product. There are many other options available that offer similar colors and are also cheaper !!

Greasy, messy, and does not work – I've used this box dye for over 10 years with no issues. The new vegan formula is very runny and messy, leaves my hair so greasy! I have to leave the dye on for at least an hour to get any sort of reasonable coverage and even then greys aren't covered. Dye faded within a week and totally washed out within 3 weeks, and to top it off it is more… Read more

pricey than it was 2 years ago. This is not a permanent dye just a "cheap" temporary dye. Back to the salon I go!

From love to hate... what a way to destroy trust from loyal customers – It was my favourite hair colour for a few years until they changed the packaging and the formula. I contacted them to understand and they told me that they increased the oil percentage and that could be the reason why the hair has a greasy feeling after dying. I tried shampoing several times but even then, hair stays greasy and has a wet feeling,… Read more

Always loved Olia, but now leaves hair greasy – I’ve used Olia exclusively for many years. Always gave perfect colour that lasted and covered greys. This year something changed in the formula because it leaves my hair so greasy and wet looking. I can’t wait to wash my hair to get rid of the oily look and feel. I wish they would change back to old formula. I’m left looking for a new hair colour brand. Show details

Terrible new formula- I will be changing hair colour – I have been using this product successfully for a number of years, but for the last 4 or 5 uses it has left my hair lifeless, lank and very, very oily/ greasy to the point that having blow dried my hair it still looks wet in places. necessary to re-wash my hair immediately after using this product. Very disappointed, poor quality box dye – Used product following exact instructions and processing time. Could still see greys after washing out the colour. After 2 washes(I wash my hair twice a week with high quality salon shampoo & conditioner) my greys have returned as if I never coloured my hair. Only been one week and my hair looks as if it’s not been coloured in 8 weeks. Very dissatisfied, will never purchase this product again. Show details

On my bleached level 8 (blonde) hair – I was quite nervous trying this box dye as I caught a lot of bad reviews online. I, however, decided to take a risk and the results were quite similar to the box image. I will say that this dye will most likely only work on lighter or bleached hair. purple. I previously bleached my hair to a level 8 blonde, and the result turned out to be a very deep plum purple shade on my hair. After a few washes, it faded to a lighter purple.
