Gasmate Butane Portable Cooker PC-1070

Danger do not buy one – I recently used my Gasmate PC1070 cooker and it burst into flames near the gas cannister. I contacted the manafacturer, Sitro who wanted nothing to do with it !!!! I also had a similar problem with a Campmaster cooker however it was replaced without any questions. I would never purchase a Gasmate product or anything made by Sitro.... I think they are sold through KMart...dont buy one.

will also drop temperature making it cold to touch.

This will eventually lower supply pressure towards an empty can over a prolonged period of use, the flame will go low .At this point your down on cooking energy.

Funny thing if you leave it to warm up , whats left will operate normally again for a while when you use it again but then will lower flame down. So there is nothing you can do about this, have at least a couple of fuel cans on the ready and swap over.

In my opinion , be mindful of the size of pan or pot you place on the trivet above the burner. Reason being is that if it is too large , you will cover the fuel can area and direct very hot exhaust gases over that area which I would consider unsafe to do so.

Pick you pan and pot sizes well, dont be too ambitious getting too big for the usage.

Male sure you take your fuel can out each time you finish.

I have had no incidents with it, but I dont take my eyes off when using it.

I like them , they are very handy.

Blew up on first use, purchased October 2017 – Loaded the gas canister and hit the pilot light and after a short delay the stove exploded in fire. We could not do anything so retreated and watched it burn out and then it exploded into four pieces. Very Scary.

Cheap and versatile, excellent – Small and light good range of temperature, $13 can't go wrong I have a couple one for camping one for on the table to keep food warm etc The grill top accessory is awesome for camping and having a bbq!!!

intermittent gas gas pressure – A great concept: economic , simple and quiet. However I am surprised that some basic issues have not been dealt with. Had numerous problems with unreliable gas pressure. Even after changing gaspak brands. May need a cylinder heating element to offset temperature drop of cylinder in use. would not recommend it until something has been done about tank heating. Convenience, light, lack of noise, clean and easy to regulate unreliable gas pressure

Excellent – Everytime we go camping we always bring out portable cooker as it is great to be able to pull up anywhere and cook breakfast, lunch or dinner. We do alot of camping with no facilities so we even use it to boil water for washing dishes. Good idea. up anywhere and cook a meal. When the weathers bad outside we have used it indoors to cook. We have even used it during a blackout. Comes with a handy carry case. Can be hard to clean. Otherwise nothing else.

OK – A handy little unit, great for camping or cooking at the dinner table. Doesn't cook on 'low' too easily, but otherwise works well. Very portable. Comes with handy carry case. Easy to start. Temperature dial does not allow for much fine tuning of the heat, especially at lower temperatures, where the flame goes out before approaching anything like "low" heat.
