Gerni 3000

Wouldn't buy another one – I have had mine a few years now. It was good but one of the high pressure heads has a small ball bearing that becomes corroded over time and will stop the thing working properly. I managed to buy a replacement but then that one failed after a couple of years of infrequent use. When l went to get another, l could not find one as a spare part any longer. Very poor design. The motor has just burnt out after about 20+ hours of operation. Its now in the bin and l won't be replacing it with another Germi. Bought from Bunnings, not the store listed below FFS.
Purchased at Sove CPAP Clinic Physical store for $300.
Poor fittings – New model has plastic inlet hose thread which is faulty and when garden hose turned on blows threaded male fitting off. Will be taking back to Bunnings.our old model Gerni has metal thread and no problem. This is a build issue with poor plastic thread fit. No it wasn’t cross threaded at any time.

Exceeded my expectations – I have used both a much more expensive and larger Karcher and also a smaller pressure cleaner in the past and didn't expect a lot from this model as it is the smallest/cheapest in the Gerni range. It came with a patio cleaner which was one of the reasons (the other one the price) I purchased this cleaner as I have stenciled driveways and paths which needed cleaning. I was most impressed with the pressure and cleaning ability of the machine especially the patio cleaner although the patio cleaner doesn't appear to be very robust and care is required especially when pulling it back towards the operator as the brushes around the sides tend to get caught in the concrete and stenciling. I would imagine that it could be possible to break or damage the patio cleaner and/or the wands which connect it to the trigger handle. Also I accidentally pulled the machine over onto its side when pulling on the trigger handle and water then started to squirt from where the supply water hose was connected (via a click on connection). I remembered reading of another model here where the person criticised the clickon connector saying that it broke. It hadn't broken but the clickon connector had somehow become loose and retightening it fixed that problem. Saying that, the clickon connector protrudes from the machine quite a long way and as such I could imagine that if it is knocked it could break. It didn't take me long to clean the area using the patio cleaner which is a must for cleaning large flat areas.
So far I would recommend this product. It was purchased from Bunnings who it appears might be the sole distributor of Gerni products and it came with a 2 year warranty which is extended to 5 years if you go online to their website and register the product. Also spare parts and accessories seem to be available at Bunnings.
