Overheats and shuts off after 15 min. Not recommended. Send away warranty leaves me without being able to finish the task I purchased for. Worked well while it worked in its defence, however poor quality motor/cooling causing thermistor trip for the price point Show details

DO NOT BUY a 5300!! – Bought a 5300 at Bunnings three years ago - it worked very well for 10 months, then started to cut out (seemed to be over-heating). Failed completely at 2.5 year point. Thank god for Bunnings! They exchanged it and issued the remaining 6 months warranty across to the new 5300 model. 7 months later, my second Gerni 5300 is doing exactly the same… Read more

thing - over-heating and cutting out. Utter junk! Gerni and Nilfisk used to be the brands that I swore by for water pressure-cleaning. DO NOT BUY this 5300. Look at the reviews over the past two years - something has changed with these lower home models and Gerni are now junk. The second 7 month old Gerni is out of warranty and overheats every time i use it.

Complete rubbish – I bought this after having several Karcher machines that made it to just after the warranty expired and then [Content Removed] themselves. I thought this time I would go with Gerni because they were a well regarded brand, and I don’t mind paying a bit more for something if it is going to last. Well, it seems that while the original Gerni was a… Read more

good machine, the Chinese manufactured units are complete rubbish. It lasted for a couple of hours light use over several months and the stopped working. I took it back to Bunnings and after explaining that the Australian consumer law requires that a product with a major fault entitles me to refund or replacement, they agreed to replace it with another one to say. When I first went to use the new one a couple of months later, something failed within the machine, such that the inlet water just started pouring out from the inside of the machine. I took it back to Bunnings for a refund which they reluctantly agreed to after I pressed very firmly on the Australian consumer issue. I will not touch a Gerni product ever again .

NOT HAPPY AT ALL – Bought this from bunnings 11/12/22... unit has no power due to overheating after 15 mins use... took it back to bunnings only to find out that they have to send it away to be re paired by Gerni ... Bunnings cannot tell me how long this will take .. they bunnings will not let you have another of the shelf... do not buy any gerni product over $299… Read more

as they will not replace it let alone give you a refund... this is totally frustrating...why do bunnings tell you this at point of purchase instead of people believing that it will be easily exchanged or refunded...not happy

Broke after 9 months taking over 3 weeks to repair – Purchased for cleaning my deck and drive way in Sept 22, used a handful of times, did a great job when it worked, However in June 23 got it out and the handle was leaking and the pressure was low took it back to Bunnings place of purchased, as it because it had a long warranty, been away for 3 weeks now with no repair completed so really… Read more

disappointing in terms of customer support. Feel let down by paying a premium price for a device which failed after 9 months of owener ship with limited use and the long repair time.

Excellent so far – Weight is just right, wont tip over for its steel braided hose. Noise level is acceptable. Pressure hose requires a push inside the connector when attaching to the unit. The foamer requires a good mix to last for a full car job. Pressure is noticeable hugher than standard units. Just buy yourself the autobrush which is very good quality and … Read more

swivels by guidance; this works well after foaming and if you need to add water just press the trigger. The Gerni Rotary Detergent Brush is better used for spot cleaning as its not swivelling but has rotary brushes inside.

Best pressure washer I have ever used – Coming from an old Karcher k2, and purchasing, using then returning the new dewalt dxpw160we pressure washer and upgrading to the gerni 5300, it is a night and day difference. This product has just about as much power as i could ever need for a prosumer, almost weekly use. mainly cleaning muddy 4wds and subsequently the driveway after. Start of… Read more

with the initial impressions. The product is rather heavy 18kg (in a good way) and feels super solid. It requires all but 2 things to be installed: hose hanger and water coupler. Comings with a detergent nozzle and patio sprayer is a nice extra touch. Everything from the solid top and bottom handles inspires confidence and nothing flexes about and feels cheap. The attention to detail is second to none, especially with how both the water inlet and outlet are on the front, power cable has a rotating clip to hold the plug in place and fit and finish of handle is nice. onboard accesory storage is nice too.

The pressure washer is amazing in operation. with a working psi of 1813psi(which is what really matters, not the max), its got power to do just about anything. The motor is really quiet and the noise it produces is a lower frequency hum than a high pitch whine that all other pressure washers have. It also seems to shut off as soon as you let of the trigger, not running on for an additional second or two. The water rushing out of the nozzle is louder than the motor. I love how the output hose just clicks in and pulls out without needing to unscrew a connector or anything like that.

Where i believe the gerni is slightly let down is the accessory and nozzle situation. The nozzle has to click into the g4 lance and cant click directly into the g4 handle. This makes the handle extremely long and hard to get the right angle to clean underneath the car and wheel arches. However, this problem seems to be common with all washers. i wish they created an adapter to bypass the lance. The wide nozzle included is only 15degrees and the adjustment only adjusts the pressure, not the spray width. I have purchased the 60deg auto nozzle ($17 at bunnings) but have found it to be slightly too wide for my liking so i wish they had something in between, or better yet and adjustable one. The foam sprayer is more like a detergent dispenser as no thick foam comes out no matter what car washing foam you use. I have since converted my old ebay foam cannon from karcher to gerni and it works great. The jet spray and patio cleaner are wonderful to use and have no complaint there.

I did weeks of research to replace my old dying and always underwhelming karcher k2. I knew i didn't want to go with a plastic pump housed karcher and it just didn't seem like the value was there compared to gerni in terms of power/$ and included accesories. I originally decided to give dewalt a go as it seemed to have more power than the gerni and im generally a fan of the brand. This was before i learnt about max psi vs working/rated/nom psi. Also, Just about everything had to be assembled on it (wheels, handle, all the holders) and after all the effort, the handles would flex around and the gun holder was not well though out at all. Ended up returning it and spent an extra $50 to upgrade to the gerni and very happy i made that choice. I also like how it comes with a 7 years warranty. Hopefully i will not have to use that but glad it's there just in case. I am a heavy user of pressure washers having multiple 4wds, MTBs, Dirt bikes and love a clean driveway too. I am very happy with this unit so far and don't see any other pressure washers that compare in terms of power value and build quality.
