Do not buy! Same issue with the other reviews. No longer works after buying it around 15 months ago. Show details
At first I was excited about how great this machine was. Purchased Oct 2024. I used it on and off maybe once a month and byMarch it was faulting out constantly. In June after parking it for three months it wouldn’t even get going. To say I am… Read more
disappointed is an understatement. Bunnings sent it away for repair. When I picked it up today four had been returned fixed. To me that is a lot in one batch. Took approx 2 weeks and another gentleman was returning his today that he had bought in Jan. There is a big problem with Gerni. I do NOT recommend this brand.
Follow-up · As a follow up I will say that I have only used it once as it’s winter and everything is already too wet. It worked as expected. I have to just have my fingers crossed that it keeps going in the long term. The repair process was about three weeks. Apparently it used to take months! At first it would intermittently go off while using it. Or it was… Read more
Now OZITO CRAP!! – Purchased new in July 2024 from Bunning. Broke after 4 uses. Bunnings sent me to a repairer who no longer repairs them because Gerni were taken over by Ozito and Ozito are not paying his invoices. Gerni used to be a quality brand. But Ozito!! It is now being sent to another repair shop in the Central coast of NSW. Wh knows how long it will be before I get it back! Show details
Buy Gerni not Karcher – Forget Karcher!! Just put one of those on the rubbish removal pile - the second one to got out the door this way. Just purchased the Gerni 7000 to cleanup our sandstone pavers around the pool and the garden edging. Hands down a better experience and product. Build quality seems better and the 10m hose is a big thumbs up. I note that… Read more · 3
purchasers complain about noise but seriously - all these products are noisy. Things that are better - the hose reel, extendable handle, the neat way the electric cord packs away and the round paver washer is better. All round pressure is also better. They are not cheap but you do want them to last and for the operational parts to be of good quality. Time will tell. So far, no complaints.
Update: Jan 2025: Product still rates highly for us as a recommendation
Not cheap or perfect but does the job – Cleans everything I need it to. Pressure hose has left black marks on everything it touches since new. Getting tired of having to clean up after the cleaner. Pressure hose needs to be made from a material that won't leave marks everywhere. The silicone O ring on the hand piece connector failed on about the 4th use. This should have been a nitrile O ring from the factory and that's what I've fitted. Show details
Garbage – Bought one 9 months ago from Bunnings and used 4/5 times for cleaning the car. Max usage time of 1 hour total. Was cleaning the car today when I took my finger off the trigger the motor started pulsing. Didn't think anything of it and carried on washing. The motor was still pulsing the next time I released the trigger. The pulsing stopped and that… Read more
was the last of the Gerni. Took back to Bunnings with receipt to be told it will be sent away for repair. 3-4 weeks until its back. Pretty average service for a $600 pressure washer.
Horrible machine with horrible service – Purchased for home use, registered for “extended 7 year warranty” used once a month if that. Stopped working after approximately 4-5 uses (washing car and driveway) took it back to Bunnings and was told it’s repair warranty only which could take over a month!!! Waste of time and money.. Karcher is replacement warranty so get a Karcher don’t get Gerni. Crap service and product
Faulty after 1.5 hours use – Used my new Gerni 7000 for about 1.5 hours on the first day, next day there was a loud bang noise and leaking from under the machine about 1 min into using the machine. I took it back to Bunnings at Kirrawee who would not replace this machine but wanted to send it off for repairs...therefore disappointed about the machine and about Bunnings customer service. Great Product, Price point not ideal – Great product, however I do feel that it is $50-100 over priced at Bunnings for what it is. I paid $550 for this Gerni, however I believe it should be priced at a lower price point $499 would be more fair. I purchased this Gerni to replace my Aldi $99 Special. It is a great machine, good and easy to use. The Mid Patio Cleaner however, part of… Read more
the reason why we purchased it did not live up to the hype. We ended up relying on another product to finish the job.
FANTASTIC MACHINE – Got this from Bunnings and have used it several times...It is without a doubt the BEST Gerni I have ever owned....It is the only machine I have used that got all the mould off....It is very quiet and very solid build...Would totally recommend this gerni....The warranty is 7 years....WOW... Pricey, but same great Gerni quality and brilliant hose – Lots of online information about Bunnings/Ozito purchasing the rights to Gerni in Australia from Nilfisk. Rest assured the quality is just as good as a Super 130 (8yrs old) I’ve owned previously. In fact lots of improvements in usability. Owned for 1 month and only used to clean cars, so haven’t tested the patio attachments. (July '21 update -… Read more
Patio attachment is very good) Pros: + Awesome power + Snow foam attachment (optional) is actually REALLY good. 90% as good as proper ones from Meguiars or Bowdens, but 1/3 of price. With benefit of simple click attachment, and storage on the machine + Hose really doesn’t tangle + Hose guide for reeling in/out makes it so easy to pull the hose out and wind it in. Zero feeling that the unit will tip over as you pull on the hose to feed more out + Auto nozzle and underbody nozzle are great optional attachments. Almost a con that they are not included standard Cons: - 15deg “variable” spray nozzle included is way too narrow for auto usage. It’s also not variable in degrees as specified. More variable in terms of strong stream to weak dribble - With awesome power comes higher water usage, so doesn’t really save that much water - Lance is way too long, particularly when used with foaming attachments
