Ok, the fans can be a little noisy and it can get hot when playing games, but that is to be expected - it is almost as fast as my desktop machine! I had an issue with mine, which in all honesty may have started with it being dropped in hospital. I contacted Gigabyte hoping for some technical information to fix it myself, as I thought the warranty had expired. They looked up my serial number and I found the invoice after they told me it is a two year warranty. It took a few weeks before I was capable of getting it in to them, but they notified me it was ready the next business day! Staff and company attitude are beyond compare, I still love the laptop, though I can't turn off the touchpad and I have a brace on my hand.
Purchased in for $1,599.
Case #G6-2024 — The People vs. Gigabyte G6 (2024) Presiding Judge: Hon. Common Sense Charge: Offering suspiciously good specs at an entry-level gaming price. Verdict Pending: Is the Gigabyte G6 (2024) guilty… of being a great deal? Opening Statement – The Prosecution “Your Honor, the defendant presents itself as a mid-range gaming laptop with high-end aspirations. But beneath the specs—an RTX 4060, a 13th Gen Intel i7, and a 165Hz screen—we suspect cut corners: plastic build, weak thermals, and short battery life. We argue this laptop overpromises and underdelivers.”
Defense Argument – Counsel for the G6 Exhibit A: Performance The G6 is equipped with capable internals that allow for smooth gameplay in nearly all modern titles at 1080p. Whether you’re diving into Cyberpunk or playing Fortnite at high FPS, it performs consistently. Conclusion: No signs of throttling or fake specs. It holds up under pressure.
Exhibit B: Display Quality A 16-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) IPS panel with 165Hz refresh rate? That’s not just marketing fluff—it looks great in use. Colors are decent, motion is fluid, and the taller 16:10 aspect ratio is actually useful. Conclusion: Display punches above its class.
Exhibit C: Price-to-Performance Ratio For $2,000, you're getting desktop-like gaming performance in a portable machine. It competes with laptops that cost several hundred more. Conclusion: If it’s a crime to be this good at this price, lock it up.
Cross Examination Q: Is the build quality premium? A: No. It's mostly plastic. Functional, not fancy.
Q: Does it get hot under load? A: Yes, especially after long gaming sessions. But the cooling keeps it from crashing or throttling.
Q: How’s the battery life? A: Weak. Expect 4-5 hours max with light use. Less with games. But honestly, it’s a gaming laptop.
Closing Arguments Defense: The Gigabyte G6 (2024) doesn’t pretend to be a luxury laptop—it just delivers real gaming power at a price that's hard to beat. Yes, it has flaws, but none that break the deal. For gamers on a budget, it’s one of the most reasonable choices on the market.
Prosecution: It performs well, yes—but style, thermals, and battery matter too. It’s a case of “you get what you pay for,” and maybe just a little less.
Final Verdict: NOT GUILTY The court finds the Gigabyte G6 (2024) innocent of all charges and guilty only of being a high-value, performance-first gaming laptop with a few rough edges.
Sentence: To be used and appreciated by budget gamers everywhere.
