I enjoy a good shaving experience - and switched from another well-known brand I have used for years to the new Gillette Labs.(Not cheap - $45 with two blades) I always use a shave cream with black carbon. In spite of initial reservations, I am… Read more

pleasantly surprised - the closest shave (without any skin irritation) I have experienced (from a home use product). I expect the blades to last well (we'll see) - however, I can confidently recommend this razor.

Follow-up  · A month of daily use has gone by, and I'm happy to share my thoughts and observations: The stand is next to useless - it's easy to knock the razor out. Blade cleanin - no problem - just a good wash with hot water. Handle grip: takes some getting used to, as it feels 'skinny'. Good points: closest shave I have experienced from this type of razor… Read more

Stear Clear – This is not the best razor I have ever used. Does not work as promised. Not worth the money.

The worst shaver I have ever used – I bought gillette mach 3 due ti its claim i could get 10 shaves. Very poor product. Got 1 shave - completely useless for second shave. I now have a moustache it was sooo bad. This product should never be sold in Oz Show details

A disappointing experience – After years using Fusion blades, I updated to new Labs, and like many others found the experience to be rather disappointing. The blades are not only very expensive at $40 for a pack of only four, but also seem blunt even for first shave. They need to be replaced after only two uses in my case,, which at $10 per blade seems quite ridiculous. The… Read more

handle is also poorly designed and is slippery when wet, which is normally always when you are shaving

This product is inferior to the Fusion system in my experience, and it seems that Gillette have dropped the ball with their current product quality !

Not to the standard I expect from Gillette – Bought this as my fusion was old and wanted to update. Tried the shaver for 4 shaves and each shave was very bad. Irregular coverage and took twice as long to shave over the fusion. Only good thing was that I received a full refund and threw the shaver out. Show details

Overpriced and badly designed – Overpriced, bad design and not nearly as good as predecessors. I would never purchase again. Show details

Quick and effortless shave – This is such a smooth transition quick and easy shave like no other shaver I've ever used especially using quality shaving cream however , the replacement Blades are very expensive coming in at a bit over 60 dollars just for 8 Snap On shaving pieces Show details

Gillette Labs Razor (PAT Edition) With Exfoliating Bar – I purchased this product @ Woolworths for the discounted price of $20 (X2 Cartridges), having previously used the original Gillette Labs product. The packaging is of premium quality, and I find the 5 blade cartridges & exfoliation mechanism help to produce an exceptional shave. However, the handle of the PAT special edition is of much lesser build… Read more

quality than the original & feels like a disposable razer. I agree with other reviewers that the stand is pretty much useless on both models.

Gillette got me good – I purchased my Gillette Labs razor on sale from Chemist Warehouse for under $20. I was expecting a lot because I have been happy with the performance from my Gillette Fusion for the last ten years. I found that the packaging was nice and the unboxing experience was like opening a iPhone. After I opened the box I realised I had been had by… Read more

Gillette. Nothing amazing, no battery vibrating feature, just a boring razor handle, magnetic stand and two heads. The heads are not even interchangeable with my fusion blades that I have built over the years. Nothing special at all. I’m just grateful I didn’t pay the full recommended retail price, otherwise I would have been really upset.

Very disappointed in this Gillette razor – I bought this Gillette labs razor from my chemist, National Pharmacies, hoping to find it as effective as it looked in its advertising on TV. I am usually quite happy with Gillette products but, because of my skin condition, am always hoping to find a better razor that doesn't leave my face feeling a little sore for a few hours. This model… Read more

fails, for me anyway. Also, it is supposed to have a magnetic stand that allows the metal razor body to sit firmly upright in the stand and so dry more easily. The magnetism is exceptionally weak and the razor simply falls off the stand every time. It is costly: around $60.00 and comes with two blades only, blades that are unique to this model.
