I'm not a medical person but there are no electrical impulses on skin, electricity only makes the machine move. If that helps.

It isn't heavy at all Julie. I was concerned given I have a crushed spinal cord and severe osteoporosis that is might not be suitable but I have no problems with it whatsoever. I'm sure it will be safe for people with pacemakers Julie. Take care. Karen
