GMC BD 1500 – I know they're not made anymore, but I've had two of these. The first I bought from my local hardware shop , quite some years ago now, approx. 10 years ago , I can't remember the exact date . It was running for less than 1/2 hour before the motor burnt out . I returned it to the shop, they gave me a replacement. The second one is still working… Read more

today , however, the teeth on the drive belt are getting worn . I have adjusted the belt a few times as the teeth are starting to slip . The replacement belts are available, but after much searching. They're not easy to find. As a general purpose sander for domestic use , its OK , but I wouldn't run it for too long, and definitely not for industrial use.

Good – i would recomend this unit to the novis wood worker but not to anybody that wants to do real work! replacement belts are as rear as hens teeth and cost $11ea at bunnings! you have to buy a velcro conversion kit and special sander discs to replace the disc whitch in the end costs $20! quality seems good thought- would recomend to hobbi wood worker… Read more

great for wood work it does not have the rpm ! it is good for working on soft woods like pine or bulsar but when you put hardwood or steel near it it ripes belts kicks back coughts splutteres and the rest
