almost identical to last reviewer bought from Good guys and first few week fine then dryer stopped working and just ran forever. Been real pain trying to sort it out with very slow replies and movement on what to do. would be a fantastic machine if dryer worked. this is Cleary a manufacturing or design error didn't even try to fix mine. Still waiting on how going to replace it.

Initially, I was considering a Samsung washer and dryer set, as I’d owned a Samsung set before and never had any issues in over three years. However, after chatting with the sales staff at Good Guys, I was convinced to try the Haier Laundry Centre. They assured me it was reliable, saying, “This will never let you down!” Even though it was $1,000 over my budget, I decided to go for it.

At first, I was satisfied. It was delivered and installed by Good Guys, and the initial performance seemed fine. However, within a month, the dryer started acting up. Instead of drying clothes, it would run for 4-6 hours and leave everything wet. I tried troubleshooting—empty runs, adjusting settings—but nothing worked. The washer functioned properly, but the dryer was essentially just a clothes spinner.

After one month and one week, I went back to Good Guys, but since their return period had expired, they directed me to arrange a service appointment. I was given a service date for December 30th—over three weeks away! As a family with medical workers, we rely heavily on a functioning dryer, especially during this weather, so I called to ask for an earlier appointment. While they were polite and promised to get back to me, it’s now been two weeks, and I’ve heard nothing.

This experience has been incredibly frustrating. For an appliance that cost well over my budget, I expected far better performance and support. My advice? Save your money. Don’t waste it on this overhyped, expensive, space-saving combo unit. Stick with a simple washer and dryer set—you’ll save money and avoid the headache.

I do NOT recommend the Haier Laundry Centre 12-9kg Combo Washer Dryer.
