Hiclone Petrol Saver

Rip-off merchant – Be careful with this company he will try to over charge you when you deal direct. Bad feeling he is just a rip- off merchant
Hiclone makes no difference in either my carby car of efi car – I have used Hiclones twice. No effect either time. After doing some research and better understanding the operation of a modern combustion engine. I have discovered the Hiclone is incapable of delivering any of it's promises and is a scam. Do no waste your time or money. Show details
Diesels great, petrol cars - no noticeable difference – Had 2 in my turbo diesel and it has had far greater low end torque and also had noticeably more top-end power. Fitted 2 hi-clones in my next petrol car and absolutely no noticeable benefit what so ever. Show details
Fitted to 3 consecutive vehicles with no noticeable difference – I fitted one to 3 consecutive Commodore utes that travelled 1000000 km between them. Absolutely no difference in fual consumption on any of them. All fitted with dual fuel set ups and every drop of fuel used tracked for tax purposes. Show details
Great BUY – I put one on a mazda bravo 92 4x4 2.6litre petrol. instantly got much better acceleration, and got extra 30-40kms per tank. Iam getting one fitted to my 2.4ltr hilux diesel and cant wait to feel the improvement as they are supposed to be more effective with diesels. But seriously if your car is in good nick, dont drive like a fool - i cant see why you should have a negative effect with this product. I recommend the Hiclone
Great results on all our vehicles – I've had Hiclones in the last 5 vehicles, carby, Efi and Tdi all with excellent results, if a company is giving you a money back guarantee based on your happiness with the results and has been around for over 20 years it's obviously on to a good thing. I would recommend Hiclone to any one who needs more power and economy to give them a go.
Hiclone in HJ61 Landcruiser – I put a hiclone in a 1986 landcruiser 12HT turbo diesel about 14 yrs ago it made the turbo cut in 300 rpm earlier so less throttle needed to accelerated resulted in an 0.5 lph fuel saving. It also reduced the vehicle from labouring at low rpm by 150 rpm I was happy with the results. Show reply
25 Years & still selling (2nd try) – Why are "Product Reviews" added here from people who never tried the product? How can they give it a star rating? Why the listed website is only a reseller, not the main website? Why this review is used to advertise counterfeit products instead? I have used Hiclone for many years & have always had good results. My current turbo diesel car should… Read more · 1
have ADR fuel economy of 8.5L/100km, I have achieved 7.8L/100km for 90,000km with 2 Hiclone's from Melb Hiclone Fuelsaver dealer, better than ADR, I can send a pic of my dash trip comp to prove it. Proper Hiclone websites don't claim more than 10% fuel savings for diesels. Plus if a product claims 10% & you buy 2 or more you don't just add the 10%'s together, that's not how maths works, the % always becomes less just like in the 4x4 mag test years ago with Toyota they got 17% with 1 part & then gained an extra 6.5% from the 2nd = 23.5% total. How much is saved depends on how much is wasted to start with so less efficient cars gain more. I also saw on website that all car manufacturers use swirl combustion now so Hiclone swirl has been proven by being copied. I picked up a Hiclone leaflet at the Melb 4x4 show which says Toyota Prius Hybrid went from 4.9L/100km to 4.5L/100km with Hiclone installed, so that also shows even the highest tech can be improved with fitting a 25year old product.
works best before just afm – I have used hiclones on three vehicles now. I recently fitted one before the AFM in my r33 turbo skyline and was impressed with the instant result. I believe just as an intercooler does the heat from air being sucked in dissapates into the stainless fins on the hiclone hitting the AFM cooler and denser.
Market hype rubbish – I tried two Hiclones in my 4x4 TD. First off, a lot more intake noise was noticed. Yeah cool. I am guessing due to the RESTRICTION in the intake hose is why more noise was heard. Further more, no improvement in performance and bugger all improvement on fuel economy. My advice, buy a potato, cut it in half and jam one of the halves in the intake. Placebos must be a wonderful thing if you believe all the hype/
HiClones - Do they really work – I have kept a full log on my Toyota LandCruiser 105 Series HZJ105R Diesel 2001 model of each & every fill, Kms/Litre, Litres/100kms since new. HiClone in QLD recommended I also fit the recommended two HiClones as well as a Snorkel & Reusable Air Filter. Realistically the overall performance was noticed especially when towing. However the fuel… Read more
economy was approximately 10-15% better. The figures do not total what we should have saved overall as if you do the math we should have seen a 20-30% decrease in fuel usage. I do not think I would install the HiClones now as I would need four of them in the 200 Series Diesel LandCruiser at a cost of $800. I would recommend the Air Filter as well as a Snorkel with large bore & air ram.
2011 Ford Ranger (hi rider) – I purchased 3 hiclones and a K & N filter, Getting tired of the rangers very ordinary fuel economy. Was promised a 20% gain in fuel economy. First tank gave me a 10% gain, since then every tank has been getting slightly better. Must be the computer, adjusting. Was a skeptic before purchasing, was an easier decision considering it came with a money… Read more
back guarantee. Still far from the 20% promised but it's showing signs of getting there Saving fuel (diesel), saving 10%+, more power, nicer to drive hoping on 20% saving, might still get there. Not cheap, spent $600+
Waste of money – Fitted two hiclones to my 2005 rodeo diesel they made no differance at all a total waste of over three hundred dollars.i think I got ripped off.would nod recomend them to any of my friends.really really diserpointed in the product.Would have been money better spent elsewhere.will not buy them ever again.... Waste of money

WILL retard the performance of your car – Despite my reservations, I put a hiclone in my Range Rover alloy 4.6 V8, with Motec, ported, cold air induction and 3in. exhaust, and after running it for 6 months there was NO improvement in fuel economy but I was convinced that it had reduced power. To determine if this was true we put it on a 4 wheel dyno and did 6 runs, 3 with and 3 without… Read more
the hiclone, and found an 11% average LOSS of power when the hiclone was in the system.
If you think about it logically, how do Nascar detune their engines to reduce power for some classes of race? They put a restrictor plate in the air system, and the mass of the hiclone reduces the amount of air your engine can get, just like a Nascar restrictor.
With the billions of dollars spent by car makers in r & d, if something like this foil-hat device actually worked they would be standard equipment in every internal combustion engine.
Honestly, save your money. it was easy to remove Not only did it not improve my fuel economy, it reduced the performance by 11%(average)
Garbage – From the moment a Hiclone was fitted to my 2009 Subaru Forester petrol consumption has steadily increased over the past two months with no increase in power or anything else beneficial. Despite the vehicle being fully and properly serviced during the period fuel consumption is up by over 15%. Buy one at your peril. Expensive, their warranty runs out before their recommended run in period and it actually wasted more fuel
Hiclone magic – First used in a Magna TM carburetor Hiclone eliminated flat spots, improved fuel consumption (dropped to around 11ltrs/per100 from 13ish) & acceleration improved. Then fitted Hiclone to a Discovery Tdi300 not only did notice smoother & faster response from the accelerator but the turbo came on around 200rpm earlier...remarkable. I then fitted… Read more
to a 3.5ltrs V6 Magna this I noticed a drop in fuel consumption .7ltrs per/100 but the biggest difference was engine response, it picked up it's skirts like never before particularly at high engine revs as those 3.5's do get breathless above 5000rpm the Hiclone eliminated this.
Also I later added a K&N air filter the combination reduced fuel consumption by just over a litre per/100. I then fitted to a Nissan Patrol 3.0ltr GUIII also the fuel consumption fell by just over a litre per 100 with smoother engine response which was kind of handy when overtaking or trying to climb the sand dunes down the coast (Robe).
Fitted one to a Territory with a drop in fuel consumption of around 1 litre per/100 but acceleration is improved. I lined it up with friends Terry with me almost a body length in front in drag to 100km, without we were pretty much line ball. Now I'll fit one my to my wife's Hyndai Sonata CRDi. Will post an update after a couple thousand km. Get one you will not be disappointed. Improved power, decreased fuel consumption
Good – Have used the Hiclone in different makes of cars for near a decade. The results have all been similar as mentioned above. One thing that must be mentioned that the Hiclone is an 'aid' for increasing fuel economy and not a miracle cure (as I have seen negative comments in certain motoring publications and forums from 'self appointed' experts!)and… Read more
works only as good as the drivers behaviour.
Currently I'm running Hiclones in my '97 TF 3 litre Mitsubishi Magna, and a '99 AU Ford Falcon wagon with no other modifications.
Both have better responsive acceleration when overtaking (we live in a rural area)and have enjoyed increased results in fuel economy between 4 and 9%.
Family, friends and associates have jumped on the bandwagon in the last few years have experienced similar or better results, in both urban and rural areas.
My brother-in-law who tows a boat (boat is approx 2300kg with trailer) has fitted one to his 2003 Nissan Patrol turbo diesel has also had increased fuel economy, he comments on the better acceleration and 'pull' his vehicle has when negotiating winding and hilly conditions.
My personal experience (and a few others) has been favourable, but as mentioned it is not a miracle cure.
For the price it has more than paid for itself. Smoother & responsive acceleration.
Better idle.
Reasonable increase in fuel economy.
'No questions asked' 30 day money back guarantee. None to think of.
Camry V6; – I have had one installed for over 5 years, they definitely make a difference but a lot is in your driving technique. Firstly the seem to make more power and torque so if you are a lead foot nothing will help, you'll just accelerate faster. However because they provide more torque lower in the rev range the car becomes more driveable and the… Read more
technique I evolved was to drive 1 gear higher everywhere. My car will cruise down the road in 5th at 60 km/h @ 1400 rpm and pull away cleanly in 5th from as low as 45 km/h. Giving me 10L/100 around town. Another bonus is spark plugs last a lot longer, mine have done 130,000 km (100,000 km normally). More bottom end power, increased driveability and better fuel consuption.
OK – Overall it certainly saved me money on my Pajero. Their website is good and tells you what fuel saving you can expect for your vehicle. I asked a lot of questions before I bought mine from mechanics that had nothing to do with Hiclone and all said that they didn't know anyone with one but should work in theory. Well I bought one and whilst the… Read more
initial price was high it did pay for itself eventually and then saved money. I drive a Mitsubishi Pajero and the Hiclone gave me a 10% better fuel economy on just around town. I haven't tested fuel economy on the Highway.
No determent to any other feature on the car. The directions and installation are easy, even for someone like me who isn't mechanically minded. The purchase price for what it is. It is a fixed piece of Stainless Steel with fixed vents that cause the air to swirl so it would be reletively cheap to make.
If it is so cheap to make then go make one, I had one on my hyundai excel and my economy with mixed… Read more
