We bought the Milly cubby. My kids were absolutely obsessed! Hours and hours of fun and imaginative play. We sold our home and included the cubby much to the new buyers delight! The cubby is still going strong years after we built it. Very happy!

Great looking Cubby House, Cheap quality, Poorly manufactured – Bought this for my kids during Lockdown. First issue was that quite a lot of the panels had to be sanded before painting. Knuckled down and got to it. Removed all the window and door hardware, ie; Hinges, metal plates etc. Once painting completed, 2 coats undercoat/primer, then 3 coats British Paints all seasons colour, then first job was to replace all the window and door hardware. Screwed the metal plates in with the same screws that came out of them and the timber split on both the door and door frame. Puttied and repaired and repainted. Put back the magnets that hold the doors and windows closed, more wood splitting. Puttied and repainted. Time to put the perspex into the windows. As I had painted the inside edge of the window frames, naturally some paint had fallen into the groove. Grab a screwdriver to scrape the excess paint out and the timber shreds. Now the window frames look terrible unless I remove the perspex and repair and repaint. Assembled the 2 floor panels first then the walls. Took one step on the floor and felt a floor board start to break. Dismantled and screwed in support beams on the underside of the floor panels, the verandah, and also the carport floor.. Another expense. There are many screws that need to be done from the inside of the cubby and the floor would not have survived the assembly, let alone my kids jumping up and down in there. Assembly was a breeze until putting up the triangle bits. the top of the front and back walls are buckled and don't sit right. Gaps at both ends. Silicone time. Time for the roof. Beams on the underside of the roof are not in the correct spots so there's gaps when you line them up to match each other. Not only that, there's a 25mm gap from the top of the 2 side walls to the roof, daylight clearly visible. Either way it's up. Now the carport. All fine until putting up the roof supports. No markings as to where they go so its hit and miss. If you get it wrong you're left with holes that need filling. Roof up, now to screw it down. Screw through the roof into one of the support beams down the side and the screw misses the beam entirely, and this is using the pre-drilled holes. Really? they haven't even pre-drilled the holes in the right spots. After a lot of mucking around with both the house and the carport and having to purchase extra materials just to make it stable for my kids to play in. Great looking Cubby but poor design, poor manufacturing, and very poor materials used in fabrication. Mind you, Hide & Seek Kids advertise it as being made with "Premium Timber". Cheap garbage at best. To date, I contacted Hide & Seek Kids when encountering the first set of problems and am yet to receive a reply. Between the Cubby, Carport, Flower Box, Mailbox, Paint, Undercoat, Extra timber and delivery, it has cost me well over $2k. Not worth it. I'm sure there are better options out there for the same money.
