The dumbest "smart tv" in existence – The operating system (opera) is woeful. Doesn't have AV out (as alas many TVs these days), otherwise has sufficient ports. Wireless connects, but that's it. Cannot access iview or similar, so all in all, a complete dog. Show details

Been a good cheap tv – We purchased this with Christmas gift vouchers at JB HIFI and three years has pasted without any issues at all. Picture quailty has been good but the smart functions are very user frienldy and very slow. We use apple tv any way and its price point was the reason for this purchase. Show details

terrible sound quality, but great picture – internal speakers do not have a good sound quality or depth at all. it has few options to connect external speakers.. Apart from that, the picture quality is very good, Sound quality and volume let it down . It is light and easy to move. remote is easy to use , but I have told my friends to purchase other televisions that have better sound quality, especially if music is important to you . Doesn't have Bluetooth  Show details

Great quality – Tv has great pic, all the needed smart tv features that work perfectly. Once i adjusted the settings for pic and sound to how i like it the tv is perfect. I cannot fault it. The remote is easy. The navigation and connectivity has been perfect. I'm very happy with the purchase and the price ensured it was great value.  Show details

Perfect Bedroom TV at a great price – Purchased this as a bedroom tv and I’m very pleased with the product especially for the price (got it on sale for $504). Starts up very quickly, sound is perfectly suitable for bedroom use. Picture quality is excellent. In terms of smart capabilities, I’m using it primarily for Netflix however the Freeview plus is a great addition. Definitely recommend this for a bedroom or small living area.  Show details

Great TV – Super happy with my TV, it was my first time buying a TV for myself and I couldn’t of chosen better. The price was perfect as well. I purchased mine through Harvey Norman. I’m looking at buying a second TV as well for my lounge room now and I will definitely be buying another Hisense branded TV in a bigger size but I think the 39inch was perfect for my small bedroom.  Show details

So happy with this TV/Desktop/Internet Browser Multimedia Able Screen – Value for money. Excellent picture & sound quality & ample options to adjust these. Plenty of USB & HDMI ports on , the side (where you can reach without moving the tv). Very smart tv - can get to Netflix, Stan, Youtube & many other online multimedia channels that I have never heard of it needing different entertainment options. Foxtel doesn't… Read more

work however but this is a Foxtel problem (too restrictive with whom they let play their channels). Very light so 1 person can move if necessary. Reasonable ergonomic remote that has buttons placed where you would put your fingers. Still waiting for GLOW in the dark button on a remote from someone. Good number of speaker, headphone and other ports however require 2 people to move tv to reach these which is difficult. Thin frame & screen border so fits on ledges and gives you the most tv picture on screen. Can hook up computer, extra speakers, bigger hard drive (stored movies & music) & so on, & easily switch to these if you want a multi-use use desktop (ie big computer screen). Would buy brand again. Easy to set up, only legs to attach. Not too much packaging to get rid of.

Great TV for simply watching – Picture and sound a great for a TV this size. The menu system, especially the EPG, can be a bit slow. When looking at the TV guide, you have to click through a few channels to get it to update. Haven't tested the PVR yet, but all the other inputs and outputs seem to work.  Show details

Great for Netflix, not great for Freeview – We wanted a smart TV of around 40 inches and the Hisense came recommended in the price segment we were looking. As some other people have noted, there's something weird about the feet and you have to fiddle a lot to get it to stand straight. Once that part was done, the TV was a breeze to set up and get it online. Regular TV channels and… Read more

Netflix work well. However, I was told this TV came with SBS on Demand as an app, or if not, that I could simply download it. That's not true. The app store Hisense uses doesn't have the SBS on Demand app. Getting to it via Freeview takes a lot of searching and scrolling and clicking. After 6 months, we're still not entirely sure where it lives and how to get there the quickest. This also doesn't give the full SBS on Demand library, but only SBS's catch-up TV shows. The layout and user-interface of this are horrendous.

Other than that, the TV works well, the picture is clear enough for us, although the sound isn't that great. We now have sound go via our hifi system and that's a lot better.

On hindsight, we would have made doubly sure the Freeview channels had their own apps before we bought, and we probably would have gone one size bigger after all.

All in all, not a bad TV for the price.

Perfect decision – 39 inch TV falls under niche segment as there are only few TVs in this size. Ordered from Myer website for my mother in 2nd week of Jan 2018 as it was on special at $449 (still on special). TV size is absolutely perfect for a bed room. I am still finding it bit hard to assemble the base stand with the TV as even after tightening of screws, TV is… Read more

leaning little bit to front. It may be a normal design of TV but I am chasing customer care with the pics to resolve it but that's not a big problem.

Pros:

1. Netflix & Youtube are just one click away as these are accessible using dedicated remote keys

2. Smart TV functions are very easy to operate

3. Picture quality is one of the top notch which I have seen in Full HD TVs, almost as close as of my Samsung TV

4. Switch the Sound mode from "Standard" to "Music" and enabled the DBX sound settings, you will see a altogether difference in terms of Sound quality

5. Icing on the cake --> 3 years in-house warranty

Cons:

1. Navigation of apps is not fast, so little patience is required. But it's with almost all of smart TVs

2. Not able to find the FreeView app on TV although it's written that FreeView app is installed. Checked TV playstore, but no success

3. Default sound settings just sucks. But once you change the sound settings as above, you will find the sound so refreshing

Really love it – I bought this a few months ago and was worried I wouldn't be able to use it to its full potential due to being a technophobe but it was really straight forward to set up and easy to use....I'm loving it so much I've now purchased Netflix as the picture is lovely and the sound it clear even for my hearing impairment so I can't praise it… Read more

enough...Isense was recommended to me by a TV repair man who said they very rarely get them to repair and up there with the top brands so I got the 39" and so pleased I did....definitely recommend....

Good middle of the range tv – I was looking for a TV that wasn't too expensive but still a smart TV for my bedroom. It has the quick features of Netflix and You Tube at the click of a button. The sound is pretty good and the picture quality is great. I would recommend if you don't want to spend a fortune on a Smart TV this would be a good product to buy.  Show details

A great TV – Picture quality is great, speakers are good, heaps of ports and loving the Smart TV features. We bought this newly released TV from Good Guys and it was only 20% more than the previous model. Although it's a smallish TV it perfectly fit in our cabinet and looks great! A great TV.  Show details

Excellent Quality at reasonable price – After researching Tv reviews on the internet for the Samsung, Sony ,LG & Hisense I decided that Hisense offers the best value for money. I bought the latest 39" N4 Smart TV from the Good Guys Besides being several hundred dollars lower price that the equivalent so called "better brands" it comes with a 3 year warranty as compared to the others… Read more

with a 1 year warranty

I have only had the TV for a month and am absolutely delighted with my purchase

It was very easy to set up.

The TV is connected via Foxtel IQ with a HDMI cable and both the picture and sound quality is excellent if not brilliant

There can be no justification for Samsung, Sony or LG higher pricing

Hisense is the third largest Tv manufacturer in the world and including other appliances their last reported annual sales was US$15 billion. I am therefore confident that the after sales warranty support will be there if I ever need it

Well done Hi Sense !

Quality TV – A very good Smart TV, great price with good quality. Haven't had any problems. The Guide is often very slow and does not work properly - however, it does deliver in all other aspects. I would not change the brand of my TV anymore, the Netflix app is its best feature!  Show details
