The worst TV I have ever purchased - Bitterly disappointed! – Purchase this on advice from a salesman at Harvey Norman, in Sale, Vic. He said he had one and it was the best. I overheard him later chatting to another potential customer and he said the same thing about the TV she was interested in! (totally different brand) I have had nothing but trouble since buying it. Connecting to the internet is touch… Read more
and go, will not log on to the 5G network, will not play YouTube for any longer than 30 seconds, then it just stops and all I get is....loading!! The remote is painfully slow, can take up to 8 seconds to respond to channel change. Three yrs and all I have is a basic tv with a line running through the top of the screen that goes through everything and distorts faces. Been onto the service dept, three times and each one reset the tv and said that should sort it, any issues call-back. Nothing again!. My ISP can not sort out how to get YouTube working either and have mentioned the brand can have issues and to call Hisense. If I had my time back I would not, and will never, purchase a Hisense, product again.
Will never buy a Hisense product again! – About 6 months after purchase, Netflix and Stan apps stopped working. We bought this TV for its 'smart' capabilities but they stopped working, rendering the TV a normal non-smart device which allows us only to browse free to air channels like a regular $300 TV. Hisense are no help as have contacted them for troubleshooting twice now with no… Read more
solution. Have also contacted Netflix but the issue is with the TV's capability to host the app correctly. Hisense say this isn't covered under the 3 year warranty and will not send out a technician to review or replace. Sound quality is also not good, gets very loud and then very soft on a range shows and movies. If you want a reliable product, I wouldn't buy anything Hisense.
Stay away from Hisense if you don't want a huge headache – Very disappointed in both the product and technical support. Bought a brand new TV, after a week I found a fault with it and for the last 3 months Hisense, after 20 phone calls, has done nothing to fix the issue. Just to pushed me around. If I had know before how they relate to fixing their mistakes and the low quality of the TV, I would not… Read more
have bought it!
Try to give a new name a chance and this is what you get. There is a reason why it's a no name brad.
Luckily the manager at JB Hi-Fi knows what customer care is and was of great help.
UPDATE: I got a replacement , same brand, brand new TV. In a few weeks same problems occurred, and I moved to another brand. Again, praise to JB Hi-fi awesome guys.
If you want a slow tv, buy this – The picture quality is fine. But this unit is terribly slow. You can't skip the ad because by the time it registers your command to skip the ad, you will have finished watching it anyway. It hangs and turns off on it's own at times. Drops the wifi at times and at times works fine. I recommend to spend some extra money and buy a samsung or lg and get satisfaction for the money you spent. Show details
Beautiful picture, awesome TV – Wow what an upgrade! I went from the first and most basic flat screens to this in one jump. I LOVE the smart functions and the picture bows me away every time I turn it on. The colours are so vibrant and it has really good dark separation too. The sound quality is quite decent. maybe not the best ever because TV's just don't have the room for big… Read more
speakers anymore but more than OK. The menu is a bit overwhelming at first but I have the hang of it now,. It is a great TV with no obvious faults and I think anybody would love it,.
Love This Awesome TV – This was a present to myself and a big upgrade from the 32 inch I had. All I can say is 'wow' about the picture. It still impresses me all the time. It is so sharp with excellent colours - like the first time you upgrade to an iPhone. The remote is good. It looks complicated but you soon figure it out. The only thing and it's true with lots of TVs… Read more
these days, is the sound quality. The speakers are not as good as the screen so I am looking into getting one of those sound bars to go with it. Overall an excellent TV.
Happy with tv for price – Happy with this tv for what we paid. Had not heard of this brand before but got a good price and so far very happy with it. Crisp, clean images and loads quickely - no waiting for the display to sharpen like other cheap tbs. Speakers are very good and don't get fuzzy even when on max volume. Thin and sleek design. Would happily recommend. Show details
Gets the job done – This is a very competitively priced 50" smart TV. If you're able to get it on sale even better. Takes a little bit of time to set up the picture quality setting to your satisfaction but I've had no issues with sound and operating the built-in apps. Plenty of inputs and even a headphone output which has proved very useful. Show details
Good value for money – if you are watching only TV its a great choice . if you try to connect through smart view, like anycast view it takes forever to get connected to the other device. Poor sound quality. Fiddle around the colors to get good view. Not a bad choice overall , value for money. Show details
Perfect for the bedroom – This smart tv is a perfect size for my bedroom, and the quality is great. The best part of the remote is that it has dedicated buttons for Netflix and YouTube! Works seamlessly @ all applications and this by far exceeded my expectations from Hisense. Will definitely recommend to others. Show details
Pretty decent – I've had this tv for almost a month and I m relatively happy. Excellent features and picture quality, only negative is that it took a bit of fluffing around to set up the surround sound and get it to work properly.i bought this TV from Harvey Norman a few weeks ago, its a great tv, easy to use and a great picture. Unbelievable Value – For the past 18 months friends have owned 2 Hisense LCD TVs with no problems so we decided to buy one as a gift for our daughter. So far, so good. Easy to set up, good remote control and reasonable sound. The picture is excellent. Connection to the WiFi was a snap and Netflix works a treat. Has enough inputs and even has a headphone output so can connect to PC speakers. Also has a 3 year warranty. (hopefully won't need it) Show details

This is great – Bought this item from the good guys when it was on sale 20% off, it worth every penny. It has high quality definition, allowing me to have a great view without being close up to the screen. I can now watch my favourite program and hook up to my high-definition video equipment. Hisence, geez its slow – I do like this t v, but, negatives its slow slow to start up, I often forget its coming on and go do something else. maybe mine has a fault. The display for programming is a bit small for me (I will sit closer), Positives great sound with add on speakers, Lots of ports etc to plug stuff into, I would recommend it but don't be in a hurry to watch it. GREAT VIEWING – Wasn't sure about the brand having stuck with the more well known brands in the past but we were pleasantly surprised by the Hisense TV. It was easy to set up and the picture quality was sharp with the sound also excellent from it's built in speakers. We had enough ports for all we have to plug in (2 set top boxes, surround sound and DVD… Read more
player). My husband's the one who checks out all the features and he is very happy with all the added features.
The price was excellent and it comes with 36 months repair warranty.
Most Intuitive TV We've Ever Had! – Wanted to finally move into a bigger TV than the Samsung 32" that's served us flawlessly for years. It's be re-tasked as a gaming rig now. After much research we settled on the 50N4. Easy pickup from Good Guys, well packed in slim box. Not much in the way of documentation with it .... however this leads me to our greatest impression with this… Read more
TV. It has been the easiest and most intuitive to set up of any TV we have ever bought. Menu prompts appear in an ordered way ... and in a minute or two the job is done. Have NEVER seen anything even close ... and I am NO techno head ... lemme tell you!!!
We had heard that sound quality can be an issue with these models .... not in our case. It is easily a match for the Samsung ... which itself had very impressive sound. In fact we tend to have it on about 1/3 of the volume range the majority of the time ... whereas the Samsung used to sit on about 1/2. Impressive for our cavernous open plan house. Quality itself is impressive .... certainly good enough for us - we tend not to be the "cinema in your lounge- room" types ... we just want clarity and good stereo ... and this one has it in spades.
Picture is perfect. Linking to YouTube simple and intuitive. We don't use Netflix or similar - we actually have a life ... and most of it doesn't involve TV!! Comes with 3 X USB and 2 X HDMI inputs ... even the old composite inputs. We can plug in our 21 year old video if we like .... something we couldn't do with the Samsung. Thanks Hisense!!!
Haven't tried to stream from memory stick yet ... but have no doubt it will be a breeze.
The only minor criticism ... if we had to find one .... is that the electronic programme guide takes a little while to populate - however we do live out of town a little ... so this may be a factor. The Samsung was much faster in this respect. I'd like to see a "previous channel" button too. It may have one, but we haven't discovered it yet. We used to use this a whole lot with the old Samsung ... and miss it!!
Given the low price these sell for we are extremely happy so far with this easy to have around set.
Great purchase – Finally upgraded our old tv to this smart tv and could not be happier! The picture quality is perfect and the connection to the internet and use of netflix is outstanding. For a person who is totally technically defunct this product was super easy to set up and I had this up and running in no time.... Show details
Value for money – Got this tv from Harvey Norman online. No drama there, they got it in stock so went the other day to pick up in Preston store, Melbourne. To easy. Tv is packed compact to fit in a small SUV - Tiguan easy. Went home - was easy to setup and first impressions are wow. Good bang for the buck. So far few days in the only thing down side is that the… Read more
software responds really slow! No idea if it needs a firmware update or something else or ... This is the first tv with that kind of anomaly let's say. In the end very nice tv for $795.00au.
Hey it is Smart 2 so I don't have to send it to school that's a bonus, and a nice one I must add. 3xHdmi, 2xusb Netflix and youtube dedicated buttons on the remote a bonus. Good choice.
Excellent TV That Surpasses Its Cheap Price – We bought another brand and took it back and replaced with this model TV. For under $800 price, we are happy with the quality. Start up is quick, quality is great and one touch to apps like Stan & Netflix. Sound quality is very high. It has a stylish frame and looks just as good as $1500+ TVs, just less a very minuscule amount of resolution. Would recommend.
Affordable mid range TV – After having purchased a high end series 7 this model is the smaller budget version. Easy to hang on the wall as the leg stand may not be suitable for stability. The familiar Opera operating system is adequate for this range. Note that this is not UHD but FHD so you are limited by viewing distance. Show details
Had for four years now. Excellent TV – Was easy to set up - the attachment of the two bottom legs seems a little flimsy/weak so you'll want to be forever mindful that a half drunk friend or kids... (dogs?) don't rest or push against the TV. ***Tip: DO NOT over tighten these stand screws! The unit was very well packed, no items missing. Ended up paying $735.00 (asking price was $799.00… Read more
on 24.06.17 @ Bing Lee). Considering I'd done quite a bit of research on current model 50cm smart TV's, this was a very good deal at the time and appropriate for my range of usage with the TV.
