Great service – Great TV for a great price. Only thing I can fault is that within a couple of months the smart tv version was the same price as this one. Easy to set up and have mounted. Have recommended to everyone Togo see the guys down at frankston good guys due to the great service you get there Show details
Excellent – Never heard of Hisense til after we bought it and that was on channel 9 morning show where they were plugging it but willing to take the risk at the price, so far so good. Easy to set up by my husband who's not great with electronics. Picture quality to me is excellent, excellent sound, for a smart tv it's easy to operate switching to SBS on… Read more
demand easily.
Sits in an alcove, quite light as I shift it to clean the shelf under it.
From a person not tech minded it's an excellent buy on a budget from HN with 24mth product care so I'm covered in case something goes wrong.
Some may regard it as basic.
We've had expensive Panasonic and Sony to cheaper Palsonic TV's and found they all last about the same time.
I would buy a Hisense TV again when this one gives up.
Good value for money – Bought this tv from JB around a year ago for a small bedroom. Around $350 mark and easy to use. since it’s a smart tv, I quite often use it for YouTube Chanel. The tv is not very thin (slim back) but since I’m not mount it on the wall, it did bother me. Show details
Hisense – God tv good picture quality. Fow the price this makes an excellent tv we have ours in a bedroom but would have in the living room as its a good looking tv. The internet connection is good, if sometimes delayed, but nothing bad, If you want an inexpensive quality tv, this hots the spot Show details
Perfect for the bderoom , good picture – Bought for $279 on special from the Good Guys. Replaced an aging 68 cm CRT in the bedroom , fitted in slot great. Menus can be a bit slow , not a smart TV but have a media player and a chromecast and it works quite well. Sound is a bit tinny but thats expected for the price. Factory warranty is 3 years which is reassuring. Show details
Great! – Bought this tv from Harvey Norman at Springvale last weekend. Very happy with the help and guidance provided by the sales staff there. Great picture, easy to install and use and having Netflix and YouTube available by pressing one button is fantastic. Would recommend this tv without hesitation. Good price too! Show details
Great Picture but lacks in areas – The picture quality is terrific. This is our first Smart tv and I guess we expected it to have all the freeview apps loaded without us having to do so. Sadly the apps in it are not local and most are of no value. I am struggling with the net side of things and the browser is not friendly enough for us. But Great Value,Picture quality and sound output. Would I buy another? Probably yes Show details
Good – This tv is great for the price you pay, I wasn't expecting it to be that good as it was only cheap but the picture quality is great, and it sounds alright aswell. I will definitely consider this brand again when looking to upgrade in a couple of months and would recommend to others. Show details
Great quality for the prices – Been using this tv for a year+ and we can't see anything wrong with it. It's probably one of the cheapest in the market but the value is quite high. There are enough ports for us to plug in everything we want and the picture quality is great. Make note: if you want an affordable tv (which may not necessarily have all the frills of a tv that's more than x4 its price), this is great Show details
Smart TV – The picture quality is quite good. For the price of the tv compared to its more expensive rivals, it is really in a class of its own with more than enough HDMI ports and the features of this smart TV really make it a great all-round. I would recommend this one for sure. Show details

Good speed on the wireless network , great for connecting a usb drive to so one can watch movies or photo's .Wishing for and update to firmware to allow casting to ipad. Great quality and affordable! – The picture quality is perfect, nothing I could as more. I am satisfied with the built in speakers as well, produce solid sound. It's very convenient as we can do everything with the built ports. The operating system is good, can easily connect to other features. The price is very reasonable. Good value for money! Show details
Sensor dead on day 2 – We bought the 32"smart tv on Friday. Initially impressed by the features--wifi, Netflix, YouTube, a headphone jack (useful for adding a better speaker & something other brands don't add any more.) TV was easy to set up and connect to wifi. Seemed to work well on Day One. However on Day Two the remote no longer worked and the sensor light would… Read more
not turn on, neither would the TV. Tried to unplug and leave for 10 minutes before turning on again. TV powered up with Hisense Logo but screen went black. It would not turn on with on/off button on back of TV. It just would not turn on so returned it to Harvey Norman where it was purchased.
Luckily HN replaced it as it was only 2 days old. The replacement TV is working ok so will review again in a few months.
Best brand out quality with best warranty – Totally happy with mine being the first smart tv at a price under 400 dollars it's a steal, 3 years factory warranty with ease of use, this is my 3rd hisense and I wouldn't by anything else for price value or quality, a definite recommendation before buying another brand with 1 year warranty. Smart features are good but non smart features are not as good as older non smart Hisense model – I purchased the Hisense 32" (81cm) HD LED LCD Smart TV 32K3110W 4 months ago as I needed to replace a 22" Kogan non smart TV in the bedroom which was a little small and I was wanting to upgrade to a smart TV. I chose Hisense as I have owned a 42 inch (106 cm) Hisense non smart TV (HL42K300PL) for the living room for over 4 years that has features… Read more
that are superior to the Kogan (and in some ways to the Hisense 32" smart TV).
What I like about the non smart 42" Hisense model over the 32" non smart model is:
- It can play additional file types such as .ts that the smart 32" Hisense can't play.
- The PVR function shows recorded programs listed by name that is accessed via a dedicated button
- It has a button to return to the previous channel watched (handy when switching between 2 channels).
I assumed the smart model would have these features but unfortunately they do not. There is no button to switch between 2 channels, and recorded programs are accessed through the media menu (through which media files that have been downloaded on to a USB drive can also be accessed) and are listed by recorded date and time rather than by program name. Not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to have these features.
Some general comments:
1. Picture and sound is adequate for a smaller room such as a bedroom.
2. The EPG requires you to go to the channel first to download that day's programming before any programs will appear. You can go to the channels while the EPG is open and once the channel has loaded the programs appear. However I have noticed similar functionality with my other Hisense, and the Kogan, and is not a huge deal.
3. The TV has PVR functionality with the use of a USB drive (not provided and needs to be purchased separately). Up to 5 programs can be scheduled to record. The schedule of programs to be recorded can be viewed/edited/deleted through a sub menu of the EPG regardless of which of the 2 following ways the programs are scheduled:
a) PROGRAM TO BE BROADCAST IN THE FUTURE
Open the EPG, scroll through to locate the program to be recorded then press OK to activate the PVR menu. Edit the start and finish time (necessary given shows NEVER start or finish at the scheduled times these days) then choose to record once, daily or weekly.
I am experiencing a major defect with this method (EDIT: now both methods) of scheduling recordings for which Hisense customer service are yet to identify the cause. Once the first recording has taken place it skips the next scheduled recording. So if I schedule a daily recording on a Monday, it records on Monday, skips Tuesday and records again on Wednesday, then skips Thursday and records Friday. If I schedule a weekly recording, it records fortnightly.
I have called Hisense 5 or 6 times over the last 3 months and apparently no other customers have reported this. They said overall the main functionality of the TV works and this is just an "extra" feature and I am not entitled to a replacement TV. They said they can send someone out to have a look but I would have to pay a $200 call out fee if they do not experience the problem. I have scheduled countless different programs on different channels and different times and the problem keeps occurring so I am confident the technician would experience the problem. But I'd have to take the day off work to organise it and have been putting it off.
However, the second method below does not have this problem. EDIT: After a couple of months the same problem starting happening with the second method as well.
b) PROGRAM CURRENTLY BROADCASTING
Once the program has started broadcasting, press the down arrow key which will activate the timeshift and PVR menu. After selecting PVR you can choose to record once, daily or weekly and also edit the start and finish time (handy as the program has already started and if it's a recurring program you won't want to miss the beginning on future recordings). Sometimes I have trouble editing the start and finish times as the program has already started, but I just go into the EPG and access the menu of scheduled recordings and edit there once the first recording is completed.
I have only set up one program to record daily but over a 10 day period it skipped Saturday and Sunday. I don't know if that is expected behaviour or if it malfunctioned but it suited me anyway as the program only broadcasts on weekdays and there is no weekday option, only a daily option. EDIT: After a couple of months I noticed that every second recording was being skipped, so it turns out the daily recording didn't skip Saturday and Sunday, but only one of those days.
4. Smart functionality is good. I have connected through wifi with no problems.
Netflix and YouTube work great and have dedicated buttons on the remote.
Freeview Plus gives easy access to catch up services of the major networks (7, 9, 10, ABC, SBS). I've noticed some freezing and buffering with Plus7 recently but the other 4 services work fine, so it could be an issue with Channel 7 rather than the TV.
With Freeview Plus you can set reminders for upcoming programs or you can navigate to a channel's catch up service to stream a previously broadcast program.
The Freeview Plus version of SBS catch up says it is "powered by SBS On Demand" and the menu options are limited. However the TV also has a menu of premium apps which can be accessed via the input button and includes the full SBS On Demand as well as Netflix and YouTube (which have dedicated buttons on the remote so don't need to be here) and a few other apps that I have never used such as Pandora.
In conclusion:
Overall this TV is ok but if it didn't have smart TV functionality, I would have preferred to stick with the 22 inch Kogan, and the 42" non smart Hisense is superior in terms of the non smart features of the 32" smart TV.
Great functional TV – The Hisense 32" TV has great picture quality, speakers are clear and well balanced. There are more than enough USB and HDMI ports for my needs. Operating system is the best I've used and was easy to set up even for a novice like me.will highly recommend this Hisense product to friends and family Show details
No internet connection – The new 32k model does not connect to any network so the only way to use Netflix, youtube etc is to purchase a Nexus player for an additional $140 which voids the purpose of getting the saving on the Hisense. Noone had a solution for this problem. The Hisense tech support don't have any telephone operators apparently, Telstra have no idea what causes the problem and the store don't have a clue about it either.
