Awful quality, not built to last – My 40 inch Hisense smart TV always had pretty poor picture quality. The colour looked very unnatural. The remote control stopped working, the buttons are virtually non responsive. But my main issue is some kind of faulty backlighting? Any show with a night time scene in particular is basically in the dark. The entire picture looks really… Read more

distorted & the colour is completely off. I liked the smart features, but the quality is really suspect. Of course ours deteriorated right after the warranty expired. I definitely wouldn't buy a Hisense again.

Not built to last! – I’ve had the TV 3 years and in the last 3 months, it started acting strange. Wouldn’t turn on unless you unplugged it and plugged it back in. When I contacted customer support, the first question he asked was did I try unplugging it. I guess they know they have an issue. Then he asked if I bought an extended warranty. I’ve had other TV’s for… Read more

10-15 years... I guess they don’t worry about quality anymore. I wouldn’t waste your money on this brand, unless you can afford to replace it every couple of years.

Great TV – So if your the same as me which is that you don't want a huge TV dominating your room and you don't buy many 4K films/tvshows then this TV is more than good enough. The amount of non HD shows on regular TV means buying a better TV is pointless. For HD quality the best show my husband watches are the live sports but apart from that there's not… Read more

much else for our taste.

That's how we look at it.... your TV is only as good as it's weakest component and in this case that's 1990 and 2000 repeats.

Hisense offers good value and we think excellent quality for our needs.

Amazingly responsive UI – I love this TV. Picture quality is great and compared to other TV's I've brought the UI is much more responsive and intuitive. My only minor complaint is that it was a bit hard to find a screwdriver sized to put on the legs, but aside from that I would highly recommend this tv for spaces that requir a 40 inch TV.  Show details

ok tv, but not the best – decent tv for the price range, but sound levels are very low and picture quality is a little disappointing. pixels are clearly visible and sometimes letters on screen are distorted. very slow to surf through channels and the menu. i would rather pay a little more and get a better quality tv from respectable brands and better quality.  Show details

Not very happy with Hisense Australia – Bought this tv in October 2016. Was wall mounted straight out of box. Tv has been fine till last weekend after a terrible day of extreme heat. The following day turned tv on and the bottom left hand corner of the tv was cracked. Called and emailed Hisense about the problem and received a reply email from Aphrodite Myron National Customer… Read more

and the response was a cope out....and was basically blamed for damaging my own tv and was told accidental damage is not covered by warranty. What accidental damage may I ask??? the tv has been wall mounted since day one and one extreme hot day and the screen cracked and its my fault ???. I replied back to the email requesting a call back....to no suprise, no return phone call to date.

I will not support this company again, very poor customer service and clearly they don't back their product, you buy the tv and when it fails its your fault regardless.

A week has now passes since i requested a phone call from Hisense Customer Care Manager and to no surprise there has been no contact from Hisense whatsoever.. This is very poor customer service.

Update today from my retailer 24/1/2018 that a Hisense Rep was going to organised someone to inspect the tv (Hisense has not has an approved repairer inspect the tv at all). Was advised by my awesome and helpful retailer that the Rep was overruled but management that no one will be inspecting the tv at all and from still receiving no return phone call from the manager of Hisense Customer Care it goes to show what sort of company Hisense really is. This matter will now be put in the Hands of the Queensland Office of Fair Trade to hold companies like this accountable for not standing behind their shonky products.

Great Picture, horribly slow menus – For me this would be a 5 star review, except for the excruciatingly slow menus. Waiting for things like settings, EPG etc. just ruins the experience, and should not be an issue with the modern processors built into TVs. But great picture quality and no faults after more than a year of solid use, for a reasonable price. A side note - I can't… Read more

connect to Anyview Cast using my fairly modern Windows 10 PC, despite the TV being found. But this could be an issue with my computer.

Not bad for the money – I bought this TV from Harvey Norman 23 Dec 2017 for $589. It has a nice clear screen but find the sound is a bit muffled. I asked the guy at HN and he said I could add something to make the sound better, but I might first switch this TV out for my other one to see if there is a difference in the sound quality. Other than that, it seems to be quite good  Show details

Loss of money – Hi all you ardent FHD SMART TV buyers I bought this 40" FHD Smart TV from Harvey Norman at Loganholme for $600.00 on 27 January 2017. The TV worked satisfactorily but on the 24 May 2017, the TV developed a black blob in the top right hand corner. Throughout the day, the blob became bigger until the whole of the right hand of the TV turned black.… Read more

Lines started appearing. I phoned Harvey Norman and they told me to phone Hisense. I went through the actions of taking photos and sending them. Hisense, told me after two days when I contacted them that the screen was 'crack' and they did not cover 'accidental damage'. Harvey Norman after a lot of persuasion decided to refund me my extended warranty which they said was $160.00 but later on changed it to $60.00.

I am left now with a TV which was not fit for purpose, literally disintegrated in front of me and for which I have to go to court to try and get my money refunded. The TV with the extended warranty was supposed to be covered for 7 years totally. Guys be careful what you buy, cheap and nasty with bad customer relations is my experience. Don't let it be yours.

$600 for a Hisense TV which worked only 4 months. Warranties for 7 years not to be honoured! – The TV bought from Harvey Norman Loganholme in Jan 2017 lasted till May 2017, developed what Hisense called cracks, accidental damage and impact damage. 7 years warranty no use. Hisense and Harvey Norman insist that I damaged the TV. Result is I have now to go to court to recover my money. No good words about both multinationals. Cheap and nasty… Read more

is what comes to mind. The TV now sits in the corner in its box with no repair possible. I live alone and have looked after the TV like gold. TV was sparingly used. No external damage visible but still it is according to Hisense and Harvey Norman Loganholme my fault. Beware users, you need to be prepared to go to court when you buy such stuff. Fault repair technicians hopeless and are quick to pass the buck. There are numerous ways of the TV damage - in transit from the manufacturers, change in weather and poor materials. This will come out in court, but I have been advised that I have 7 years to do this, so watch this space!!!

$600 for a Hisense TV which worked only 4 months. Warranties for 7 years not to be honoured! – I bought a Hisense SMART FHD TV from Harvey Norman (HN) on 24.01.17. It came with a 3 year manufacturer's warranty and an extended warranty of 4 years. It worked somewhat ok until Saturday 27.05.17 when it developed a white patch on the top RH corner of its screen. Throughout the day, the patch developed to become a black blot with colorful lines… Read more

across the top of the screen. I phoned HN Loganholme who told me it would be faster to phone Hisense. I went through Hienses' rigmarole of getting colored screens and sending these to them. After a couple of days I phoned them. They told me that it was due to impact damage and if the Technician attended and saw any impact, I would be charged for a Technician call. By this time I was fed up and took the TV to HN Loganholme. The salesperson (2IC) signed a repair form saying there was no visible damage.

The next day the technician visited HN and gave a report that said 'crack'. HN sales person calls me and offers a convoluted explanation which included 2 different colored cars. He also said that he had no time to discuss the matter with my brother in law who was chasing up the matter for me as I was working at that time and needed someone to pursue the matter for me. Feeling totally fleeced of my money I tried to find out what HN was offering as a return. The TV price included 4 years extended warranty and the sales person at HN had the hide to tell me that I would lose all my money. To me it makes perfect sense - No TV = no extended warranty = refund money at least for extended warranty!

In addition, Hisense do not seem to know what the fault is. The email sent to me later by Hisense said it was accidental damage. I live alone and use the TV sparingly. There is no physical damage to the TV yet the Hisense deems that my money is forfeit for 'impact', 'crack' or 'accidental' damage, God alone knows what else. These are the excuses given to me by Hisense. HN offers fairy tale explanations.

Mates, be careful of all these HN and Hisense products. They are trying to get some fast money for some poorly constructed and mishandled shipped items. I have now the tough task to recover my money through legal means. Hisense should not be selling inferior items in Australia. If there was a rating of minus Hisense, would be awarded this from me.

Loved it! – Using Hisense smart led tv for more than 5 months now. Good picture quality. Pretty satisfied with OS and speed. Got enough ports. Very cheap compared to other brands available in the market. Only drawback is the quality of sound system which is average. Overall this one is worth the price.  Show details

Great tv for a cheap price – Bought this tv as a cheap option for a bedroom. I have been surprised by the quality of the unit. Great picture quality, great sound quality from the built in speakers and the late night sound mode is fantastic. Dedicated netflix and youtube buttons make operating simple. 3 year warranty to boot means you can't go wrong.

Good value for money – Good picture and sound. Only problem was difficulty setting up the tv. Supplied installation documentation is not current. I had to enter setup screen several times before a detailed menu with all the options appeared. From then on, all was straight forward. No issues with wireless internet connection.
