Great tv for the price – Have owned his tv for over a year and have been extremely happy with it. Graphics and colours were amazing. For the price point and comparing it to other ULED TVs you couldn’t go wrong with it. The apps weren’t the greatest but offers Netflix and YouTube which is what I used it for mainly. Also used to play PlayStation on and never missed a beat. Show details

Impressive TV, Takes TV viewing to a whole new level – Hardware wise the 65P9 gets top marks. Well constructed and solid. Even the rear is smartly designed. The sound system is hifi with good bass & treble from its inbuilt sound bar. The TV runs remarkably cool even in our Perth summer. It almost seems to have been designed for Western Australia with effective cooling vents. Sufficient HDMI (4) and… Read more

USB (3) ports. My main beef is lack on a AUX RCA audio output port and no Bluetooth. Also for a premium product the Remote should have air mouse capability and ASCII Keyboard. The screen gives an excellent picture with realistic sky and good skin tone (after a few days of learning how to set the picture adjustments). 4K videos streamed from Youtube are a wonder to behold, especially scenic ones with realistically bright sunlight, and amazing definition almost giving a 3D effect. There is the occasional blurring but as it is only apparent on a few videos it may be an issue with the recording. If I have any reservations I believe the VIDAA U operating system could be a little more user friendly. I am an experienced computer person used to finding my way through menus etc, and I can see how a less experienced viewer might find it challenging. Adjusting the picture quality to a satisfactory level was no easy task even for me. Don't get me wrong the system is fast and works well with many options available.

To summarize. great TV, well built with dazzling picture quality and good hifi sound. Software could be a bit more intuitive. I can thoroughly recommend the TV, but be prepared to spend a bit of time learning how to set it up to enjoy its max potential. Mind you I'm a fairly fussy viewer.

EDIT.. 24-12-2021 After owning this Hisense 65P9 TV for 2 years, I thought I would do a bit of an update to my experience with a Hisense TV.

After my glowing review above, most of which is still valid, I have unsurprisingly found some rather regrettable issues with the TV. Lets not forget. At the time this was their Premium $ 3500.00+ top of the line model.

1. Hisense score very poorly indeed in providing any updates to their software on their TV's. In the two years I have owned this TV, there have been no software updates or upgrades I am aware of to improve the substantially less than perfect VIDAA U operating system. I had been hoping they would at least upgrade it to the VIDAA U 3 .

2. For a Premium product, another disappointing shortcoming I discovered was that when you are recording a program you cannot use the TV for viewing. It has only one Tuner so of course if you are recording lets say channel 7 to the USB PVR you cannot watch a second channel, That is granted. However on this Premium TV you cannot watch a Bluray connected to any of the HDMI inputs.

Quality television, minor issues – This television is quite good quality, we have thoroughly enjoyed the picture quality although have noticed motion blur on some occassions, usually we will turn the tv off and on and it will rectify the problem. We have contacted Hisense regarding the issue and we are awaiting reply. The television has amazing sound and we have not needed to use… Read more

our surround sound system. The bright colours and picture clarity are most impressive and if it were not for the minor issue of the occassional motion blur I would certainly give this television 5 stars. For the price we paid we are extremely happy with the overall quality of this television.

Wouldnt buy another Hisense – Purchase Jan 2019 and have had to call support almost every month. We dont have any issue with picture quality, our issue is the software. It's lost all sound and needed factory reset. Then another time it lost internet connection and needed a factory reset. 3 months in a row it's lost all live TV channels and needs factory reset. Support are ok… Read more

but only solution is factory reset each time. When we have to do this it takes a longtime to reset our customisation and login details for all streaming channels. It's a pain in the butt. We wouldnt buy another hisense at this point in time.

Only bought for less than 6 month and it totally not working now – I bought this tv from jb Hifi only half a year and now the tv is not working . DONT buy this model !!! Hisense customer service is terrible and you need to call Hisense and jb Hifi again and again about the return . They will try their best to make trouble for you although it’s totally not our fault. Don’t recommend this model to anyone !!! Show details

Couldnt imagine a worse 4k TV for the price – I bought this recenetly and the TV suffers from severe motion blur and ghosting on almost all settings. True motion is a joke and noise reduction does no work at all. the picture quality would be fine if it didnt always seem so blurry. Definitely better choices out there and unfortunately I made the mistake of going for a brand offering more and delivering nothing. Show details

All I can say is WOW!!!!!! – What a tv , one with the lot...easy setup easy to use and picture quality is in any setting is beyond words. Sound quality is amazing through the Harmon kardon speakers, brilliant tv. Netflix , YouTube, streaming is seamless and very fast. My 8 year old loves it . Remote control is great easy function with lots of accessories on it and u can even… Read more ·  2

use it phone app as a remote and works great. Connecting your phone is easy to view photos etc. Doesn't have bluetooth but doesn't need it. Worth every penny, can't complain about anything..

05/08/2019 Just a catchup review on the Hisense, nothing has changed , still working great , picture quality is immense , sound quality through the Harmon Kardon is great , and knowing the tv well now its a dream, i notice the other 2 reviews discredit the tv but the only difference is i bought mine from The Good Guys and they bought theirs at JB Hifi. I think its a great tv never droos connection from the internet and streaming is faultless , an absolout A+.
