Hitachi UZ507000 (50")

Picture started deteriorating at 3.5 years. No picture at all at 4 years. Hitachi now obviously lends their name to rubbish. Avoid brand at all costs!

The worst TV – I bought this brand because they have very tool and plant equipment. However tv is completely terrible, remote control doesn't work properly from first day you need to push buttons so hard to make it work. I have had this tv for 2 years and now it has issues with black color. I don't recomend to buy this brand. Show details

tv, the tv's antenna connector immediately snapped. I called Hitachi for the warranty. What I was told it was a physical damage, so no warranty covered. I said why it was built so fragile, with just a pull, then snapped immediately. I owned tvs of other brands, never happened like this before. Now I have to send it to the repair shop to replace the antenna on my own expense. Hitachi's warranty is ripping off!!! Folks, if you are planning to buy Hitachi's tvs, think twice, even thrice!!!

content right now, so couldn't test that feature. But on HD & Full HD it can handle very well. Sound quality is very basic but most TV's has same sound until you are ready to spend more than $2000.

TV is bit slow to start and takes upto 30 secs before I can do anything like changing channel or volume.

Pros:-

At about half the price of other models this good budget smart 4K tv with wifi.

Good picture quality, easy to setup wifi

Great smart tv features, specially it's QWERTY keyboard for easy typing.

Cons:-

Takes about 30 secs after starting before I can do anything with tv like change channels etc.

Smart TV slow & some times can be bit frustrating.

Sound quality very basic I will suggest using sound bar etc.

Pretty good – Picture quality is great as long as you put it to use with at least HD media. Sound quality is ordinary but that is most TVs now a days unless you go wtih 2000K plus TVs. as it should be for a smart TV. Processor seems a bit slow and takes about 20-30 seconds to load and TV itself has limited smartness about it. I would even say it is not full on smart TV. But then again there are plenty of ultrafast smart boxes available on the market to be connected via HDMI.

Overall not bad quality

Lots of Problems – EPG turns off after 60 seconds, USB is unreliable, Freeview only appears sometimes, TV is slow to do anything, Lacking options and poorly made software, After sales support will not help. This TV was replaced by retailer only to have same problems. Not Happy at all. I recommend you look at different brand.
