Does nothing

We live in South Australia. It does nothing at all in our conditions. We end up just using our $50 fan, as it does the same job, but a lot quieter Show details

Cools well - make a lot of sound

I really appreciated this over summer. It make our stuffy bedroom bearable but we would have to switch it off when we went to sleep because the 'roaring train' effect was too much. It doesn't sound too bad during the day but its too loud at night. Its a good machine though. Its portable and comes with a compartment for ice. So long as you have reasonable expectations about its capabilities (size limit) it does a good job

Good for cooling but noisy

I bought it from last summer. It’s really good in hot day from 35 degree. With the water tank underneath, it’s very easy to clean and fill water. Much more cooler than normal fan, easy to move.

The cons is it’s quite big, not suitable for small room and very noisy at night.

NO MORE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS

Cooling function very effective; easy to set up, ie to attach exhaust hose to vertically-sliding, bedroom window; easy to operate the sensible, functional selection of options, eg, "sleep"; noise of no concern, personally, although some friends have reservations about it (thus 4-Star rating); and, my little Moodle (Maltese/Toy Poodle), who's bed's next to it, is still a bit apprehensive.

The "CoolAir' brand is being heavily advertised..but does it perform in humid places, like F.N.Q. Australia?

Rick
Rick

No, water coolers need dry air optimally 30% humidity or less, no good in the tropo tropics...
