Our second water receptacle has cracked and leaks! We cannot source a 3rd one! – We have owned this dryer for just under 3 years we have had to request a new water tank twice as this hard plastic part has cracked and leaks water. I hold no hope for the delivery of another water tank as it took multiple emails and soooo much time actually have the tank replaced the last time. It is not worth the trouble it brings. Do not buy this dryer. Choose a different brand of condenser dryer!
Unrepairable and dumped after only 5 years use – Unit broke down. Wasn't heating or condensing. Repairer thought is was the main board and replaced for $600. Didn't work on return. Repairer then indicated gas leak in condenser. Unrepairable!
One of the worst driers on the market – Cloths take 4-6 hrs to dry which increases your electricity costs. The drum often needs to be manually turned to try get the unit to start. Just avoid at all costs Show details

Does the job – With a family of 4 (baby + toddler) I manage to do up to 4 loads of washing (drying) on a laundry day. Efficient enough to get the job done. Takes some time, but hey, every other dryer I owned took it's time too. I love the feature where the water gets collected in the door, the filters are easy to clean and it has never shrunk anything. It seems… Read more
to speed up drying with every conceqent load. So load #4 would take less time than the first load would. I love it and cannot really fault it. Had it for 4 years with no issues.
Worst ever dryer – This dryer is pathetic, 4hrs in towels and was only 4 towel and 2 hand towels. Machine leaks water everywhere. Chews power like you would not believe and does not dry have more chance drying your stuff on clothes line in pouring rain. Highly recommend you don’t get ripped off and buy a machine like this Show details
Clothes still wet after 6 hours – We have tried drying the clothes on every setting and 1 cycle is not enough to dry the clothes- this totally negates the efficiency of 6 star energy rating. Most loads take 6 hours and some parts of the clothes are still damp. We've used dryer balls on recommendation from the Good Guys which seem to help speed the process up a bit. We clean the… Read more
lint trap and empty the resovoir after ever cycle but it doesn't make much difference to how fast/efficient the machine is.
Game changer, excellent product – With energy prices skyrocketing, we were overdue for an upgrade. We often avoided using our 25 year old Hoover 5kg tumble dryer (still working) simply because it used so much power. Following considerable research both online and in store we just couldn't go past the new Hoover 7kg heat pump dryer with Aqua vision and Dynamic Dry for quality,… Read more
build and value for money. And most importantly a 6 star energy rating of 159kWh per year.
The electronic sensors allow for a multitude of easy to use programs and functions, just set and forget with the smart technology and the appliance will adjust temperature and time of cycle depending on the type of clothing and program selected.
Lint filters are easy to clean and moisture from the clothes is captured in either a water tank integrated into the door or you can opt to drain directly to the laundry sink waste with the drain tube supplied.
We love our Hoover, and for $1200 on promotion at the Good Guys plus a 5 year extended warranty this appliance has exceeded our expectations on every level.
Waste of money. Doesn't dry properly – This machine is a joke. It takes forever to dry and then often needs to be put on for over five hours to dry anything. Feel ripped off and cheated. Any money that it is supposed to save in electricity is negated by the time frame it takes to dry. Don't waste your money. Notice they are now selling them $500 cheaper than I paid. Word of how useless they are must have got around. Show details
Water saving dryer, not bad – Good dryer, amazing how much water it collects in the door, which is easily recycled in the garden. Often stops drying well though and I have to pull all the filters apart to clean, but works well when it does work. Have started having difficulty putting the water collector back in the door. Is a good energy saver. Show details
Hoover dynamic next 8 kilo dryer – Worst dryer I have ever owned, bought this dryer because it boasted 6 star energy rating but to dry cloths no matter what setting you choose cloths come out damp every time and that's after 1400 rpm spin so a extra run is always necessary....Some programmes tell you only 4 kilos or less ,what rubbish for a 8 kilo dryer, sensors in this dryer are… Read more
useless and must be set at a factory in the Sahara as I have found after any programme cloths need extra time which runs into hours,.....For the money spent I could have bought 3 of the old vented dryers and got my cloths dry in half the time, Modern technology heat pump dryer more expensive and complicated to repair so nothing good to say ....
October 23rd 2016 Update: Update to Hoover Dynamic next 8 klg dryer
Have found that if you use mix and dry cycle that runs for 2 hours then set for rapid 40 and let it go through both cycles the cloths come out dry to our satisfaction and it only takes 2 hrs 40 mins to dry a load rather than 3 or 4 hrs and yes we dont listen to what the instructions say about max load of 4 klg for mix and dry as thats stupid for what is supposed to be 8 kilo dryer so we put in what we think is a fair load ..In doing this we can get 2 loads done in a bit over 5 hrs which is not really very fast but a bit more acceptable than the books method ..Also spin the cloths at 1400 rpm when in the washer, we are still not impressed with this dryer and would not recommend it to a friend...
Horrible at drying the clothes - waste of money – Purchased this dryer only a few days ago and already having issues with it. It takes far too long to dry - a 3 hour cycle and the clothes are left damp. Whilst its drying it has a odd smell. The water tank leaks and drips on the floor. Purchased from the Good Guys and a waste of $700. Going back to try and get an exchange. Show details
Takes forever to dry clothes ,even after 3 hours you still have to put it on for longer.Door won't c – Would not ever buy another one and are about to get consumer protection involved if Hoover or The Good Guys don't replace it or give me my money back .Camtec,s Tecnician admitted that it is a poorly designed model and isn't able to fix its faults.Totally not worth the price tag.
This dryer seems useless! – We bought this dryer a week ago, and so far, we are very disappointed. It does not dry clothes! It is an 8 kg dryer; however, even if we put in 4 kg of wet clothes (we weighed them!), the clothes, after being on "towel" cycle for three hours, are still damp. I am emptying the water and lint filter twice during the cycle; that does not help. … Read more
There is no way we could ever put any more clothes in there! The instruction manual is unclear, and not easy to follow. However, we have both read it and re-read it, and we cannot see what we are doing wrong. The manual warns you against getting burnt from the heat of the clothes and the door; the dryer and the clothes NEVER get hot enough to even warm you up!
On the positive side, when I rang the customer service number, the person was in complete agreement with me and recommended I return the dryer, which I will do.
All the same: you have to wonder how Hoover can call this a "clothes dryer", when it does not dry clothes! It might be super economical in terms of energy use, but pretty useless if you want to dry anything more than a couple of shirts!

Takes forever – Takes forever to dry and even then the clothes feel damp. The lint catcher seems to let lint escape into the machine and all over the door. I empty both the lint filter and water reservoir after every use.. water reservoir seems to have a slight leak. Only had it 5 months.
i need help – Can anyone tell me how to speed up the drying process please. I have had problems with how long it takes and need to know what youre doing that I'm not.at the moment it's taking around 3 hours (I know) but if u put it on less time it doesn't dry properly..help
Still love it after 3 years – Hi Ray and philomena again. We posted a review about this machine 11th of July 2015 but purchased it in June 2015. Today is the 6th of Feb 2016 and can assure all you doubters that after almost 7.5 months of use and yes still literally load after load it's still working like a charm with no issues at all. Today is the 5th of July 2018. It's just… Read more
over 3 years since we purchased this dryer n knock on wood it's still working fantastically. We love this machine n I'm not sure what others are complaining about but it works great.
No problems at all – Performs as stated. It dries clothes quickly and with minimal fuss. Sensor dry works well for each setting. I have found that hanging up the clothes for a little time after drying and letting them breathe (cool) works best before storing. and holds plenty of water (several loads). If you can hook up the drain hose, makes it even simpler.
+ energy rating, price, option of direct drain, speed of drying
I don't know why these people are whining – Maybe don't mess around with it? Mine's been fine - everything is always dry. I do empty everything after each load (water, 2xlint, etc). I didn't even read the manual. Not complex. Power usage is minimal. I have never owned a dryer before (but have used many of course). Pretty quick to dry too....
Clothes are not dry – We put the hose from the dryer to the sink - works fine - we also have it on a front loader. After each drying cycle we have to open the dyer and put the clothes around the house so they feel dry. Even though we do this clothes smell of mildew after being in the cupboard and some are tearing as though they have rotted. I believe there is no… Read more
fault with the machine - it is just a bad design. We will never buy a Hoover appliance again as we have no confidence they test their equipment as suitable for use.
We have found that the dryer works better when full of clothes. But we still find damp clothers we need to hang around the house after each dry
Good Dryer – Bought this at GG for $1299 - Hoover were doing a $500 off deal...so thought it was worth the extra $$s on top of a normal condenser dryer. It performs well, drys the clothes quickly, laundry doesn't get hot and is very energy efficient (6 Stars). Giving it 4* as I need to see how it performs over the coming months but happy after the first 3… Read more · 2
weeks of use. Energy rating, 3 year warranty as standard, good price for a heat pump dryer. Slightly noisier than expected but no big deal
Waste of Money – This dryer would have to be the worst white goods purchase we have ever made. It simply does not do the job as advertised. Some stored washing had mildew growth on it after one weeks storage when using "Bone Dry" setting. All requests for assistance have been passed off to another party and never answered. The door was manufactured incorrectly,… Read more
and the warranty repairer further damaged the machine. The experience of buying and operating this machine is something I would hope never to happen again. Looks nice Does not work as advertised. It is not of merchantable quality.
Update of previous review – Maintenance is horrible. They ignored our initial calls. We had to go through Appliances Online. We've had the dryer for 8 months and it stopped working after we plumbed it. The maintenance guy that finally came out had no idea how to fix it. He seemed surprised to see a condensing dryer. It's been 2 weeks and it's still not working. Now… Read more
