Hi Cam, Thanks for contacting us, I have spoke to our technical team and they have said that this is faulty and would need to be either replaced or need a service call. If you contact the warranties department from wherever you bought it they should be able to handle this for you.

Hi there .. my Husky retro fridge temperature stays at -8 degrees Celsius even when set at 2 ... can you please help me figure this out ??
Hi Tom, The fridge might need to be defrosted. Just turn the fridge off at the wall, and leave the door open for 24 hours to allow the fridge to defrost, and then turn back on. If it is still getting too cold, then there might be a faulty thermostat. It would be best to give Arisit Technical Support a call on 1300 762 219 to see if they can recommend a solution or to repair or replace a part. Regards
thanks very much for the reply Anthony !! I've done that a few times without success :( I'm wondering if there might be a qualified service tech in Ontario, Canada where I could have the thermostat confirmed faulty and replaced if needed ? Would you recommend trying to clean the condenser coils with a compressor ? or would that be a bad idea ??
Hi Tom, It is difficult to determine the issue without seeing the fridge. If you can find a local serviceperson to have a look at it, they should be able to tell you if any part needs to be replaced. Unfortunately we do not handle the service for Canada so I can't recommend any particular service company. Regards
I appreciate your follow up Anthony ... if it was freezing my milk or my juice, I could live with it ... but it's freezing my damn beer !! that's when it gets serious !! ha, ha, ha !! I'll take your advice and see if I can locate someone local to take a look and give me an opinion. Merry Christmas
Our husky fridge starts and then stops very quickly and won’t get cold. Could this be something to do with the thermostat?
Hi Lindsey,
Please contact our Technical Department on 1300 762 219 for further assistance on what could be causing this issue.
Regards,
The door is not closing. Seals are all good, but a gap between the door and refrigerator is now permanent. How do I fix???
Hi Angus, It is difficult to determine the cause of the door gap without seeing the fridge. It might be best to give Arisit Technical Support a call on 1300 762 219 to see if they can help or send someone out to have a look. Regards
My husky retro bar fridge keeps building up ice and cracking loudly. The seals have been replaced recently. It is only 18 mths old. Sits away from the wall. Ice builds up 4 days after defrosting. Thermostat set to medium. Any ideas?
Hi Michelle, the surface of the evaporator ices up when the refrigerator is working. This is an entirely normal part of operation. If the frost layer is more than 3mm/1⁄8” thick, the refrigerator must be defrosted and cleaned to avoid unnecessary energy consumption and inefficient operation.
• Remove all items inside and unplug the refrigerator.
• After defrosting, clean the refrigerator (see instructions below) and allow it to dry. Reconnect to the mains supply and follow the directions ‘To Operate Your Husky Retro refrigerator‘ on page 5 of your user manual.
The exterior may be cleaned using a microfibre cloth or similar. DO NOT use abrasive products on the exterior of the unit as this could damage the painted finish. To ensure efficient operation the back and bottom of the chiller should be cleaned thoroughly. Note: do not use abrasive cleaners!
• Unplug your Husky Refrigerator.
• Wipe the interior with warm water and neutral detergent.
• Dry all surfaces thoroughly.
• Use mild soapy water to clean the door seal.
If you have any further questions, please refer to your user manual or call 1300 762 219. Kind regards, Husky Team.
My husky retro bar fridge gets hot on the outside, is this normal?
TedyBear. All refrigerators get hot on the outside. Either just the back or also the sides. This is how they reject the heat they are removing from inside. Make sure you leave some clear space at back and sides to allow the heat to escape else the refrigerator will not work properly and use more power.
Thankyou
