construction quality, capable processing speed and excellent battery life. It's typical of the early "Centrino" notebooks and not designed for gaming, given its 32MB ATi based graphics card. But business users who would have spent upwards of 3 or 4 thousand dollars back in 2003 would not have bought it for the graphics power. It's light, plays DVDs very well, and is overall a fantastic example of why IBM (now Lenovo) have such a reputation of building great quality durable notebooks. On eBay you can pick up T4x series notebooks for under $800, and it's well worth considering these instead of the lowest end notebooks that may be available new. Light, fast enough for general computing tasks
