ikea kitchen tap aleskar – This kitchen tap is the best looking and most functional kitchen tap I have ever used or seen. Ikea, please bring it back. We have had ours for over 5 years and it still looks and functions like brand new. Best tap ever.

Very disappointing – Bought 2.5 years ago as part of a full Ikea kitchen renovation. I contacted Ikea straight away as the tap has very low pressure and flow, 3.0 litres per minute (hidden in the manual it states 3.5 LPM). When I contacted Ikea about this their attitude was that 3.0 is near enough to 3.5 and they weren't going to entertain a refund or replacement… Read more

although I really wanted a refund so that I could buy a tap with higher flow, I've since seen similar taps with a flow through of 7 and 8 LPM.

Now another issue has raised it's head, the tap leaks. It starts and stops leaking seemingly at random and I have been woken up at nighttime more than once by the drip drip dripping. The warranty is for 10 years, but since it's been 2.5 year, I now can't find the receipt and apparently the unit has to be replaced, so I would have had to get a plumber out to do the job. Seems like binning the Aleskaar and buying a new tap is in order.

When I was working in retail, we could look up receipts by simply searching the customer's name, apparently this is beyond the ability of either Ikea's staff or their database.
